We did did our thing and explored the area and decided to check out this spot before leaving. It's a little unassuming from the outside with the words Local Bar painted on the wall, but the little neon flamingo sign lets your know you're at the Flamingo. Walking in, the vibes were cool. They have this retro 80's Miami thing going on. It was cool. That's about all that was cool though. Customer service wasn't all that. The staff seemed more interested in their regulars. Since we walked in and used their facilities we decided just to have a shot and keep it moving. The shot wasn't even all that good. If it weren't for the cold customer service, we would have potentially spent alot more money here. It's a one and done for me!

We went with her recommendations and will definitely be back. Forgot to take pics but the fried pickles were great. Burger was juicy and delicious - forgot the name but the burger meat was a blend. We ordered a duck taco type appetizer. Not a taco because it was tucked in lettuce and not hot but the flavors were a nice blend. It's something I'd expect to taste at some Seaport spot not at a friendly neighborhood hang out. Pleasant surprise. I'd order it again. My friend was wearing her birthday sash so they brought her a cupcake and sang :) A lovely neighborhood gem we will definitely return to.

From start to finish, we had an amazing experience here. We ate here on Sunday. They open at 11:30am. We got in line around 11:00 am, and there were already dozens of people waiting in line for them to open . Around opening time, the owner came out and personally greeted everyone as they came into the restaurant. He was so friendly. He greeted passers-by on the street and talked with the locals. The staff was friendly and answered all our questions. They provided recommendations and offered suggestions. We sat at a window table and were able to see out at the boats. It was cute and quaint inside! I got a cup of the clam chowder. I 100% recommend it! They add dill and omit the pork, which made it so delicious! My friend and I split the fish and chips, and it was more than enough for two people. The fish was cooked perfectly and the fries (chips) were crispy without being too crunchy. We added a bit of pepper to our fish, and my goodness does that make a difference. If you visit Boston, want an awesome local establishment with delicious food and overly friendly staff, this is the place for you. This was my third visit to Boston and I'm so sad I didn't know about it sooner. It's a MUST.

This place is tiny and you need to fight for your life for a reservation but it makes sense why it's so popular. It really is very tiny, so just be aware that seating is sometimes limited. They didn't have too much on draft, thought some of that was due to the Scottish being in town for the World Cup the week before. We went with lemon drop shots, and the bartender was very transparent about the fact that he was out of most of his supplies due to the Scottish. No fault at all to them for that because that was the situation at every bar we went to. Service was friendly, the shot was nice and strong, and it was a nice little spot. Beyond drinking, there isn't really much going on in the bar in terms of activities, but there were TVs. So, watching sports here is definitely an option. I'd definitely say that this spot is worth popping in if you are enjoying a night on the town, but that it probably shouldn't be the only spot you go to.

Man I love this place…read more Reservations are a must and it is a little tricky to find. Look for the fox on the outside door and go downstairs. We sat at the bar and Ada was our bartender. She was great! Really enjoyed talking with her and she had great drinks recommendations. The food was delicious and very unique which was refreshing. Its a 2 hour experience with 4 drinks, 3 food courses and a dessert. You definitely wont be hungry after. Highly recommend for a date night.

Veteran Bartenders…read more What a time warp here. This used to be a very rough neighborhood, now it's fine. Eddie C's, the key here is the bartenders. Two older ladies that really made our night. We only remember Jennie. What a card? She was so entertaining and friendly and had all of the clientele under her thumb. I am assuming she's been a staple at this historic joint for decades. Great deals on drinks and beers, a very lively strange crowd, and the best bartenders. How can you ask for more? Besides Kelly Square Pub, this is the best bar in EB. Thanks
