Super cute local "farm stand". Hard to find and has a confusing purchasing process involving QR codes and phones. And I'm not fully sure I understand how there membership works. But it has all kinds of natural food and treats. I bought a raw goat milk cheddar, very fresh asparagus and apple pie and a few other things. They source most products from small local farms. It's kind of catch as catch can depending on what vendors have come in. I didn't buy any meat but they had some interesting stuff in the freezer. You're not going to do weekly shopping here. But if you want really nice produce and locally sourced product this is your place. read more

What a gem this store is! This was my first time visiting the Farm to You, Bomvida Farms store on Menaul. So what do they have? Will that changes on a day-to-day basis. The store works with local farmers and food producers to pass along high-quality foods that are extras. The day I went there were all kinds of fresh meat, veggies, dairy, and lots of other delights, food and nonfood. They have a nice little selection of soaps and other handmade items. I tried the strawberry drinkable yogurt and it was fantastic! Creamy, rich, and full of flavor. I also got some stellar green onions that were the nicest I've seen. Everything was fresh and delicious. The store clerk was welcoming, knowledgeable, and told us all about how the store works and what we could expect. On top of that, it's a beautiful little store with lots of room inside to move freely. I will definitely be back. Although I got quite a few things while I was there, there are a lot of other items that I would like to try. I'm also curious to see what they have next time since the selection rotates on a regular basis. If you want to shop local and support your local farmers and food producers, I highly suggest checking out Bomvida Farms. Went by here today because I was next-door getting a burger and I wanted some real eggs from the farm as opposed to what Trader Joe's has on offer..... who knows what the hell those chickens have been through. Got some beautiful farm fresh eggs that were about a dollar and a half more than the regular grocer but boy are they delicious. Incredibly fresh. I will be getting my eggs here from now on... May try some other things too! read more

I went to this place today after searching for farm stands on google and was pleasantly surprised to find a storefront in the city. I was looking for farm fresh eggs and I definitely found them. I looked at Walmart before going and the "cage free" eggs there were $5.50 a dozen so I decided to come here because I had seen a photo where their eggs from a local farm are $7. The store owner was incredibly nice and helpful and answered any questions I had as I browsed through the store. They have chicken, turkey, duck, guinea, and goose eggs (maybe more I didn't notice) and they're all very reasonably priced with a dozen eggs indeed costing $7. I also picked up some chocolate milk from a local farm and a few baked goods made at the owners farm itself! They have many items including meats, cheeses, leafy greens, flours, tinctures and salves, and more. The owner also mentioned the items were seasonal so I'm excited to come back soon as she said they'll have fresh peaches and tomatoes! I highly recommend coming here if you're looking for something I mentioned or just to browse and buy something from a local farmer instead of a megacorporation for around the same price! read more

I will not return to this store on Menaul. On a cash sale they REQUIRED: Name, phone, address and email. I felt extremely pressured wouldn't sell to me unless I gave it up. I told them I don't want membership just wanted to buy one small package of blue cornmeal. I gave into the pressure but they lost a cash customer and getting a bad review. Companies make money off of customer lists. read more

First time here and boy was I impressed! I was greeted as soon as I walked in and was introduced to the store and what they offer. I love that everything is from farms close by. Their shelves are labeled with how far the food is grown. Talk about transparency! They offer 100% grass-fed beef, lamb, and gluten-free desserts, and my favorite is the farm-fresh eggs. They also had a variety of mushrooms, local honey, and jelly. The store is kept clean and organized. I love supporting local farms and businesses that support them, so I will definitely be back. read more

Stopped by Bomvida's midheights super clean, cozy, local-only grocery store today. I was thrilled to find delicious raw milk, farm fresh room temp eggs, local meats and tons of greens (in the dead of winter)! The kitchen is gluten free and their baked goods are outstanding (the owner mentioned that people often buy them without ever knowing that they are gluten free). Polks Folly should be providing freshly butchered locally raised meat soon too, he said. The owner is always willing to answer questions and said his job is equal parts educator and shop owner. read more

I saw this place mentioned in our free, monthly magazine and had been wanting to visit it. We discovered that the parking was on the side of the buildings. It's a small store, with a variety of products, with labels stating how far from ABQ the product comes from. All New Mexico products. The two young ladies working there were very pleasant and answered all of our questions. We left with ground beef, mild cheddar cheese, chocolate milk, carrot cake, fresh eggs, an onion, and two baskets of different size tomatoes. I told them that if everything tasted as well as I hoped it would, I would be back. I've had fresh eggs from my daughter, so I knew that these eggs would taste just as good. They also have duck eggs. The ground beef, which I cooked with little seasoning so we could taste just the beef, had a rich taste, almost like steak. Delicious. The cheddar cheese looks richer than the store bought, and it too tastes so much better than any other cheese that I've had. We enjoyed the carrot cake immensely. It's definitely on par with the Range Cafes carrot cake. Last but never least, the tomatoes. I grew up in Michigan. My father had a garden, and I would pick and eat the tomatoes like any other fresh fruit. BEST tomatoes ever, and after being in NM for 39 years, these tomatoes at Bomvida come very, very close to the taste that I remember from home. We will be returning to Bomvida. I heard that that there was a new store offering locally sourced products. So decided to check it out. They have a different business model and I am impressed. I went there this weekend and was amazed! They have an amazing selection of eggs (fresh chicken, goose, turkey, quail) a great selection of meats, sprouts. As the growing season progresses we'll see many more seasonal additions. The farmers get the appropriate price for their labors and we get the wonderful benefits of their efforts.
