Overall, this is a solid Sam's Club location, and we've really enjoyed having a membership. We do most of our shopping here for our family and usually have a great experience. The only downside is that they occasionally don't have some of our family's staple items in stock, which can be frustrating. We've also had repeated interactions with one employee in the apparel section who is pretty abrupt about customers looking through the display tables for different sizes. It definitely takes away from the shopping experience. Other than those two things, the store is clean, well-stocked most of the time, and the staff is generally friendly. We still enjoy shopping here and feel our membership has been well worth it for our family. read more

Sam's Club in Castle Rock has become my go-to warehouse store. It's consistently clean, well stocked, and much easier to shop than other warehouse clubs I've visited. Even when it's busy, the store feels organized and it's easy to get through the aisles without constantly dodging carts. One of my favorite features is Scan & Go, which makes checkout incredibly fast and convenient. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, and getting in and out is usually a breeze. This store is SOOO clean & everything operates! (sounds funny, but have you been to most of the locations in Denver?!!) The shelves are stocked & they always have what I'm looking for. Sam's Clubs are not created equal , this one was inviting , bright and welcoming. They had lots of products in stock. I found that their produce was a bit more fresh than other Sams clubs I've visited. I was not hounded for my Sam's club membership card as I entered the store either. I had to stop using Sam club because the ONLY reason I use a club at all is for gas. Sams in Castle rock is constantly higher than surrounding stations; even that the stations in Elizabeth Colorado which is a small town and gas prices are not generally a good deal. When asked them about it they told me it was corporate who set their price and they set it by the surrounding areas medium income; not gas prices in general. I told them and showed them on google that other Sam's clubs were much cheaper than they were and that other gas stations in he area are cheaper Was told they can't do anything about it. Closed 2 credit cards and my membership with them. Hope the loss of business is worth it to them! Switched to Costco who's gas prices were consistently 20 to 30 cents per gallon cheaper. read more

This Sam's Club store is possibly the nicest/cleanest Sam's Club in the Denver Metro area, in my experience. It is also convenient to my home and business. That is where a positive review stops! Today, Tuesday July 18th, I needed to get some things for my company. I prefer shopping at Costco however Costco isn't as "convenient" for a quick trip. Sam's Club, unlike Costco, almost requires shoppers to do self check-out. I decided to get in line for a cashier. Self check was very busy with lines for all of their MANY stations. The single working Cashier had one person waiting, so this seemed like a logical choice. (I am not a fan of self check to begin with). After unloading my cart of about 10 items a hurried Supervisor approached me and asked if I was paying cash? I responded "no". She informed me that I would need to go over to the self check area, this Cashier "HAD OTHER THINGS TO DO"! I advised this Supervisor I do not want to do "self check out". (as I heard fellow customer behind me chuckle) This Supervisor took all my items off of the conveyor and placed them all back into my cart. She told me she would help me however she walked off in another direction. I reluctantly pushed my cart over into the line of self check, an employee was walking by and I let her know what just took place and I was not pleased! She said she would assist me, and started to explain to me how "self check works". LOLOL ... I told her I fully know how to do it, I just do not want to do it!! All the while the Cashier I WAS in line for was still processing customers ... not sure what "other things" she needed to do as I was told by her Supervisor? Costco has self check stations as well, however most of their Cashiers are also processing customers out. Customers are not FORCED to do their own scanning. Costco is like a well-oiled machine as the number of people they move in and out of their stores in smooth, friendly and quick. When the new Costco comes to Castle Rock I will no longer need this Sam's Club membership. Was not a fan of Sam's Club or Walmart anyway, this just confirmed my decision to give up my membership as soon as Costco comes to town. Terrible customer service, Sam's Club!!! read more

Although this store does an ok job of having items stocked and such. Never, ever purchase an appliance from them. They'll tell you that installation and haul away of the old appliance is included. It's not. Certainly not without a fight. I made the mistake of buying an appliance here and now I'm stuck with it in middle of my kitchen. read more

There is an optical technician in the optical department who, on several occasions, has been extremely rude. Several months ago a family member went into their optical department and was turned away later in the evening near closing when they were told by Maryln that "they do not put lenses in Ray bans". Interesting how another technician was able to do so, as was the Sams club in Littleton. Beware of Marilyn, she apparently doesn't know how to do her job, bad mouths customers and turns away service. I have had a Sam's club membership on and off for over 15 years in different areas and this is among the best club I have shopped at. I like it so much that I have transitioned to making it the place where I do my primary grocery shopping. They do a good job keeping everything clean and well organized. The staff are always so nice and friendly, it's the first wholesale club I've been to where they greet you at the entrance with a cart ready to go for you. The food is always fresh and there is usually a good variety of different products that they offer. The low prices on gas from their gas station, the low cost quality food at their cafe and the tire center alone make the membership more than worth it each year. Easily the worst customer service experience I have had in Castle Rock unfortunately. I have been using Sam's Pick up/Delivery options for a few months now for my small business, and this is the 3rd time my order has been cancelled with zero communication from Sam's. I tried reaching out on the app, the representative I spoke with let me know the order was cancelled (even though the app still showed "in progress") but they could not tell me why. They offered to transfer me to a manager. I waited in the queue for a manager for over 30 minutes until having my session ended with "no manager available". I then sent an email asking for a manager to reach out, as well as left a message at the location. It has now been 3 days and I still have not heard from anyone. I understand they are busy and mistakes happen, but communication should not be this difficult. read more

17 Nov 20 - Visited this Sam's Club yesterday morning because they are better stocked than the one where we live in Colorado Springs. We got there early so it was not crowded so I decided to go in with my husband instead of waiting in the car for him. This store is really clean and so are their bathrooms and we do not mind driving their once a month to find the things we could not find at the grocery stores like the cranberry sauce. We also got to toilet paper and paper towels. Their seems to be a shortage of paper towels because we could not find any and had to ask if they had any. The guy told us they did and went in the back and brought two packs of paper towels, one for us and another for a gentleman that was waiting with us. We also got some meat, a rack of lamb, etc. We plan to go to this store once a month because we are impressed with the friendliness of their employees and the cleanliness of their store. read more

This review only pertains to the food court today. Service was horrible, they threw the food on the counter, I watched one gal drop her hat on food and then continue to serve said food. The other gal grabbed random tings off a dirty counter to handle hot churros. Basically the attitude coming out from behind the counter is almost acidic and the food handling skills a far below average. Sams needs to either watch closet or train better. read more

Oh MY F***#$# God! Horrible service in the Castle Rock, CO Sam's Club optical department. Do not go there! They have uneducated, unhelpful, unprofessional people working there. When I called to schedule an eye exam, the customer service agent in the optical department didn't ask/clarify if I needed a contact lense or just an eyeglasses appointment. On my appointment day, I let the optometrist know I was there for a contact lense exam. She informs me that what was scheduled was for eye glasses. Without telling me the price for the contact lense exam she accomodates me and gives me the contact lense exam. I choked at the cash register when she told me her price for the exam. $129 for a 15 min exam. I could have gotten a better deal elsewhere. I left her office area wondering if I even had the correct prescription because of a mishap with one of the machines and how rushed the appointment seemed. I proceeded to look at frames. Not much of a selection. One woman who works there didn't think I was looking at the right frames for me. She goes over to a man working there and starts asking him questions and talking about me while I'm standing a few feet away and can hear her. I leave with my prescription in hand. No way will I spend anymore of my money in that department. I return home to find out that they only gave me an eyeglasses prescription not a contact lense prescription. I decide to order eyeglasses online and realize Sam's Club optical didn't include my PD measurement on the prescription. I go back to get my PD measurement and a different man is there working. I ask for my PD measurement and he refuses to give it to me. He said they only take the PD measurement when a customer buys glasses from them. I paid $129 dollars for abominable service and a half assed prescription. Absolutely NOT worth my time and money!!! read more

I went to the Automotive dept. today on my way home. They had replaced my battery a few weeks ago and ever since I've had to pop the hood and press down on the thing that connects the battery for my car to start. Really annoying! Anyways I just wanna give a shout out to CHRIS who not only figured out what was done wrong but fixed it on the spot with a cheerful and friendly demeanor! He also cleaned up the messy eroded bits and greasy trash all over it. As a woman I am often treated as though I don't know crap about cars (which for the most part is true) but Chris was nice respectful and didn't talk down to me in anyway as we chatted about the car. This is for the Food Court ONLY Saturday November 2nd noon Sams Club Castle Rock. The young man who works there, he does not have any teaching/guidelines on proper food handling . He uses his gloves to touch everything, including money, his radio, computer screen, other computer screens, his clothing, walks away from the food court with his gloves on to do other things then returns and handles the hot dogs, buns, so forth. Do not touch non food and food wearing your gloves. I was sitting there observing this behavior and was disturbed. Please teach your employees that gloves are for food handling. take them off and touch other things and put fresh ones on when you handle food. Other Sams clubs and Costcos Food Courts have many people so the jobs are distributed and i have never seen this happen before. If you cannot afford a second person, TEACH this young man proper food handling wearing gloves. read more

Walmart Sam's Club has never been my favorite club store over Costco and my feelings were once again confirmed. The gas pump cables are not designed to be used on both sides of vehicles like Costco. There were lines (large passenger trucks) this morning when I pulled up to fill my small vehicle. Thinking that Sam's was smart and copied how Costco efficiently designed their gas pumps to NOT have lines when other pumps are clearly available, I pulled into the pumps opposite. When my vehicle was filled, the pump over flowed instead of stopping. The attendant yelled at me ("Look what you done!...") I yelled right back telling him that lines would not be a problem if Sam's was more efficient and cared about their member's time. Sam's Club- Take a lesson from Costco, MAKE THE CABLES ON YOUR PUMPS LONGER SO YOUR MEMBERS DON'T HAVE TO WAIT IN LINE WHEN OTHER PUMPS ARE OPEN!! read more

This Sam's location in Castle Rock does not keep their inventory up to date. We bought a $699 Grill Gazebo that we were told they had 5 in stock. After waiting in receiving for almost a 1/2 hour we were told they didn't have it in stock. They applied a refund but that will take them between 5-8 days to process the credit with my bank account. So they take my money instantly when they don't really have the stock in place but then can't credit me instantly... I have a problem with that. read more

Sam's Club in general is pretty good, but if you buy tires there, getting them rotated regularly is a headache because you have to schedule an appointment, and their available slots are terrible during the week and even worse on the weekend. How is getting in to see the dentist easier than getting my tires rotated? The odd part is that their service bays are almost always either empty or just one vehicle. Had I known it would be such a hassle I'd have bought my tires at Costco in Lone Tree. That's right -- even though I live in Castle Rock, driving 20 minutes north to Costco for tire rotation is somehow more convenient. read more

Best place to shop. You can find everything and they are always well stocked up. Very friendly staff and very helpful too. Some times you have to look for them but they are great. Love that they are close to home and in Castle Rock. We really needed them. Hope they keep doing what they do. If there is something I need to pick on will be the food court. They need better management there I have waited in line forever and the tickets have never printed for me. So I always have to ask them for my ticket and remember the ticket number cause there have been two separate occasions that the ticket has not printed in the back end as well. But I will not take any stars for that, stuff like this happens.
