Very unhappy with the communication, service and product. It took them four months to put an engine in my truck when they went to put my engine in their engine did not work. They wanted to charge me an extra $2600 for another engine they did work without acknowledging to let me know that these would be extra charges, communication was very poor the day I had got my truck back found hoses to not be connected. I love this shop! Honest, fair pricing and friendly. Had my Jeep diagnosed in June 2019 by Family Tire Auto Pros in Parker (why?). The mechanic at Family Tire Auto Pros listened with his stethoscope and told me the grinding, clinking sound was my transfer case. Scheduled my service at the end of June so they had enough time to order the transfer case. I was told it would take 4 days to install. Repeatedly called after the fourth day to check on the status, the repair still had NOT been started, But 'he' was getting around to it that afternoon. The next morning, I called to check on the Jeep and was told they ordered the wrong transfer case. It was going to be another week before the part came in, and it was going to cost MORE! Jeep sat in the Family Tire Auto Pros parking lot for a week. Finally, they put in the correct transfer case, maybe. They called me and said it was done. When I arrived, they drove the Jeep to the front of the shop. I could still hear the loud grinding, clicking sounds. It was not fixed!!! He was going to let me go home $1700 later without it being fixed. I was distraught. Immediately called 1 Stop Auto in Castle Rock and Skyler said it sounded more like the drive shafts than the transfer case. Drove my Jeep to Castle Rock with the ORIGINAL transfer case in tow. Skyler, at 1 Stop Auto spun a wheel on the transfer case (showed me how easy it was) and said, this was not the problem. My ORIGINAL transfer case was just fine. It was in fact my front and rear drive shafts that were causing the grinding and clinking sound. Had to take my Jeep back to Family Tire Auto Pros (ugh) to reinstall the ORINGINAL transfer case. Of course, then took another day for the re-install. On top of it all, I am still paying interest charges ($600+) on a refund that was issued. DO NOT USE Family Tire Auto Pros! It took 1 STOP Auto less than 3 days to custom order, cut and install my new drive shaft. Take your vehicle to 1 STOP Auto where they actually know what they are doing, a shop that can communicate and values their customers. read more

I had a terrible experience with the shop and Don specifically, they did an alignment and left the bolts loose and the shims fell out, then when we returned it for repairs they had lots of excuses instead of just taking care of us. I could go on and on but suffice to say you should get a second opinion, double check their work and ask to have the warranty explained to you. They were all about the money (60 bucks) and nothing about the b2b business relationship or understanding why an alignment job failed on them. Alarmingly at a stop light I'd noticed my brake pedal pressure dropping away. I hadn't previously nor afterward in a basic inspection, isolated any leaks at the wheels and assumed a bad master cylinder. I called 1Stop and arranged the next morning to have them look at it and whether the shocks were needing replaced. I didn't have anything going on so I decided to stay while they looked into it. Their staff and their interactions with other customers while I was waiting seemed perfectly reasonable and friendly in a small town-like manner. After a short time the mechanic came out and said the master cylinder was fine but he found a leaking brake hose on one of the front wheels that seems to have been either pinched or chronically rubbing which ultimately caused the leak. He had taken a picture with his iPhone to show me. He also said the shocks were fine and didn't seem to need replacing. They subsequently ordered the part and a few hours later after it arrived it was installed for a lot cheeper than the master cylinder would've cost. read more

These guys were awesome ....went out of their way to help me out after a snowstorm and they were packed. But i needed to get to a new job that afternoon , and i separated my wheel from my tire on my jeep ....so if i got to the job there was going to be no way my camry was going to be able to get me home .......Anyway the owner John, and the rest of the crew ,,,sorry guys of forgot your names, where just awesome .....They even said lets get that slow leak in your camry fixed ....???? Who does that anymore.....Less than an hour and less then 40 buck less . I was so relieved and made it to the first day on the job !!! They could have up sold me on everything , i was a prime candidate for that at the time .....I know it doesnt always go this easy and car problems are a pain.....But from the owner to the mechanics , they all treated me so well, even when i know they were buys as heck........Thank you , Thanks you ,Thank you, I will be back for sure .....Im sure it will be more expensive next time around for whatever and not always and easy answer . I left my truck with 1 Stop in January. It is a 1992 Ford F-150 I use on our farm. I received a quote for $1,500 to fix. I gave them the ok to fix and the quote quickly jumped to $3,000 halfway through the job. Three months later I finally got my truck back in March. I tried to drive it home and it drove worse than when I took it in. I broke down three times on the side of the road from it stalling with white smoke blowing out. After taking it back to them the mechanic told me I actually need a transmission and that was probably the problem all along. All he had done was replace all my gaskets and sealed up leaks. I didn't care about the leaks, I cared about the lack of power in 1st to 3rd. My truck is still in their lot and I've been waiting for the owner to call me back since April. It is now June 16th. They don't know how to diagnose vehicles and will not take care if you if there is an issue. I'm a 4H dad in Douglas County who needs this truck. Not right! read more

A few days ago I went to 1 Stop because I had lost the key to my gas cap. I had purchased a replacement at another business here in Castle Rock but was treated very badly there. After they let me search the store looking for gas caps, I finally went up front and asked. They knew what I was doing as I had already explained why I was there. Anyway, I went to 1 Stop with pretty low expectations but was very pleasantly surprised. This used to be my go to shop, but ever since Don took over the day to day operations they gouge their customers for more services than needed. For example they wanted to charge over $700 for rear break work, did it myself for $50. Another time I called to see what they would charge to install a battery in my wife's Audi $100, really? I hooked it up with jumper cables and changed it myself...no need to re-program the car Don. The final straw was the overcharging to replace a water pump, $648+ got the work done at Firestone for $400. John, I like you but your shop isn't for me anymore. They seem nice upfront but I'm smart enough to self diagnose my problems before walking into a shop. They had my vehicle for almost 3-4 days with little to no communication. They quoted me $3600 to replace an engine for a valve timing issue caused by a $50 part. Also I showed them the exact part they should look at, and said they already took it out and it wasn't the problem. Payed them 200 to get it out with a couple of minor services, paid for a brake flush, an air filter change, and to check steering fluid and they only changed the air filter. I ended up changing the $50 part in a home depot parking lot and got nothing but smooth exhaust notes and no rough idle. Can't even fathom the amount of scamming they do here, but that's just common shop practice in the industry I guess. They might be a good tire shop (don't know haven't bought), but holy hell stay away if you want anything done to your car. read more

I recently brought in my Camper van to be worked on. I was on a time crunch and needed it repaired within 4 days. After the first day, we found out the gas tank and fuel lines both had leaks along with other issues that had to be resolved. The mechanic quickly got to work and managed to fix everything in time for my departure. Not only did they work hard to stick to the time frame, they are the first mechanic (of more than 3 between Vermont, Maryland and Colorado), that was able to locate the problem with the gas smell in the first place. I like the owner, very funny, as a woman I am nervous taking my car anywhere, the first time I went in I asked, "are you a good repair business?" His reply, "na, we're about mediocre". Beware! Quoted me $80-90 on the phone, and I confirmed by saying, "So, it'll be under $100, then?" He replied, "Yes." Got there the next day and he wrote up the order for $130! When I protested, he insisted that he'd never said any such thing on the phone, and that he was the only one who could have taken my call. I walked out and am getting it done elsewhere for $85. Took my Chevy to them for new spark plugs installation and some other work. When I made the appointment on the phone, their man Chris told me that it would take only 1/2 day to complete so I dropped the car off the night before the appointment day so they would have it early. Afternoon (12:11p) of the appointment day, Chris called to say I needed new spark plug wires as the old ones were corroded and now broken when/by being removed (OK NP understandable). He quoted $102 plus tax for just the wires. That's a lot for plug wires and I'm not naïve, so I asked him the brand and model of the wires. He said, Napa MPW 3147. With Chris on the phone, it took me 15 secs to be on NAPA's web to find their same part # for $54.99 (listed as not in-stock BTW and a phone call to NAPA confirmed same). At first, Chris said they would match that price, said 'only fair' and that he 'had no idea why they (NAPA)' were charging them (1 Stop) so much. (Really Chris? Double retail? You don't know how much parts SHOULD be?? Blame another business???). But then he changed his mind after talking to owner John and stuck to the $102, claiming some BS about the warranty on the wires even though I told him that I didn't care about a warranty on wires. Fast forward and three phone calls to them later. I assume that since they didn't have the wires in-stock anyway and it was now late afternoon and they close at 5:30, their mechanic (Sky) put back on the old wires and a couple of used ones without telling me what they were doing until it was done and near their closing time. Therefore they never learned that I had been willing to bring to them BRAND NEW OEM wires from Chevy ($75.00 retail), literally on the same street, done deal, no issues. Was also scheduled for coolant change and power steering fluid change same day but they just blew that off. No explanation as to why and I didn't bother to ask. Honestly, I was just relieved to be done with them before their incompetence broke something expensive. Now I will be picking up my car without most of the scheduled work being done, paid $155.92 spark plug install labor, done using some old crappy wires that were laying around the shop and now in need of another shop and more cost to complete the job. So much for trying to support 'local businesses' and 'the little guys' who don't value the customer's time and give poor quality service at twice the price. read more

this repair shop was honest advising me on 2-3 hrs diagnostic time on an electrical issue on my 2007 toyota fj and they were upfront about turn around times. They got me in the next morning and the tech found the issue in about an hour and that's all they charged me for. They put the faulty parts in a baggy for me (i like that) and was overall a good experience. I would recommend this shop. read more
