Called to get a price on new spark plugs and coils. They quoted $800 and called back three minutes later and said, oh, I am sorry I did not realize that this vehicle was a V8 so it will be $1200. 8 hours later I had to call and ask if my truck was done. He said, well one of the spark plugs was cracked so we have to get a new one. picked up the truck and less then a day later the check engine light comes back on. Brought it back in and they said well "we figured it might be the coil packs." WHAT you are telling me for $1200 you replaced the spark plus and NOT the coil packs...interesting. Said, well can hook it up to the reader on Monday and see what the problem is...the problem was that the spark plugs needed changed along with the coil packs. Will NEVER recommend and will NEVER go back. Lack of customer service and experience. If you don't know how to fix a vehicle you should just say so! read more

Don't take your car to Firestone! I made the mistake of going to the same Firestone every time I had a problem with my Tahoe. Over the years I have spent a lot of money there. This time they acted like they didn't have time to fix it, like it was in the way and they didn't want to deal with it. I had never had problems with them before, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and trusted them. After having it for 3 weeks they finally called me and said it was the ignition was bad. The guy at the front desk told me it would be an expensive fix and I'd have to take it to the dealership, so I'd be better off selling it. Today I sold it for $2,000. I posted it for $6,000 but because it wasn't running I dropped the price to $2000. I got a call on my way home from the guy I sold the Tahoe to. He thanked me for being honest about the engine, when I told him it ran just fine and the engine is good. I was confused, but he went on to tell he was able to fix Tahoe in the parking lot of Firestone and drive it home! Come to find out it was the silanoid that was bad. I would have never sold it had I known it was a fixable and wouldn't cost upwards of $5000 (rough estimate from Firestone) to fix . I got the feeling that the employees at Firestone were being lazy, and making up a diagnosis because it would be a lot of work to fix, but I went against my gut feeling and trusted them. So now I not only lost my mom's Tahoe, which was the only thing I had left of her, but they also cost me $4,000! So please tell me how a man (who is not a mechanic) was able to fix this vehilce in the parking lot of a Firestone within an hour, but Firestone couldn't figure it out in the 3 weeks they had it. It is shameful, and they should be beyond embarrassed. On a side note, my mom bought this Tahoe in 1999, brand new, and kept it till the day she died. She loved this truck and even though she couldn't drive it, she kept it in great condition. Great job Firestone on Arapahoe and Parker. Thank for all the wonderful service. read more

Some hero's don't wear capes!! My daughter was traveling from Littleton to Pueblo with her 2 year old son, when all of sudden the car began to shake violently and she had to pull off of Rt. 25. Scared, she called me for help. I located this Firestone franchise not far from her, called, and spoke to the store manager, Tanner. Tanner's immediate attitude was concern. He advised my daughter to drive slowly over to the shop and he would take care of her. Folks, within an hour Tanner had rebalanced the tires and road tested the vehicle and had my daughter and grandson safely on their way! Not really sure how I should rate them. I bought the unlimited alignment deal. I scheduled an appointment 2-3 times. And right before I get there I get a call asking if I could push the time back cause they are too busy. The first time or 2 I was fine with it. But even then I'd get a can to reschedule. So I'm guessing at this point that since I paid for the lifetime alignments I'm not at the top of the list if a paying customer walks in. Very very displeased with these guys. I took my truck to Firestone to have the battery replaced. When they tested the battery (dead one), they also tested the alternator and said I needed a new alternator. They did not retest after the new battery was installed. I took my truck to the dealership the next day to have the alternator tested and it was working just fine, no issues. Thank goodness, they did not have an alternator and a technician to install it. If they had, I would have been out $1,000 for replacing something that didn't need to be replaced. This will be the last time I use Firestone. read more

Dangerous, dishonest, and lacking basic business integrity and customer service. This location is not to par with the Firestone excellence I've seen elsewhere. Avoid it! The front desk attendant called me up, then proceeded to take two phone calls while I was standing right in front of her. She was very distracted during my explanation of my brake issues, but said things were good, and took my keys. Someone called me a couple of hours later, saying I need new tires. I agreed to this. When I went to pick up the car, they took my payment and said I'd be emailed a receipt later. I noticed continued squeaking and grinding in my brakes and discovered they had NOT completed the work promised. I called and the manager said the brakes were "fine," so they decided not to do anything with them. So even though my invoice listed that as the primary reason for the visit, all they did was replace my tires! Never again. read more

This location reminded me why I haven't been in a Firestone in over 20 years. The level of BS repairs that they claimed I needed on my work vehicle was unreal. What was supposed to be an hour to a hour and 15 minute oil change time turned into a 4 hour ordeal. They claimed that I needed brakes, new belts and they even said that I needed new wiper blades even though I had just replaced the wiper blades a month ago. The brakes were fine. Not to mention as soon as I left my tire pressure light came on. I will NEVER set foot in another Firestone even if the company that I work for is paying the repair costs. I don't appreciate them lying to me. I recommend that you avoid this shop and Firestone in general! read more

The first day he said we were replacing multiple parts for a price. When I return week later to have the service done. I clarified with the attended the service that needed to be done. The price doubled!!! Due to he didn't include all the parts in the price. I was already in a bind, so I went ahead and okayed the service. I asked him how long it would take. During the last snow, my wiper blade snapped off on a super cold day. slush all over the street... It was an awful feeling, as I was about to get on the highway and knew I wouldn't make it. Got new tires, one tire fell off while driving, luckily didn't cause an accident with other cars (well, the loose tire did hit one other car). 2 mechanics said the bolts had sheared off and that is a sign the lug nuts were over-tightened. $5000 in repairs, $500 deductible and now the insurance rates went up because of the claim. Firestone took ZERO responsibility. Never called me, every interaction was me calling them. Never gave me the 3rd party adjusters report. Corporate office claims department ignored me after two attempts. Still considering small claims court. read more

This is the 2nd nail I have had in a tire in the last year - UGH! After getting roadside from my insurance I went to the CR Firestone store intending to get the tire repaired as they are all relatively new (8/9 tread depth) (purchased from them ) the first time I only saw one nail and they called saying there were 2 in it and on the sidewall so it was unrepairable - trying to sell me 4 more tires !!! Took it down the street to Discount Tire and they repaired it no problem ! well... same thing today ! I saw only 1 nail and took pictures of where it was located - rather than plugging it - they come at me with an unrepairable AGAIN! So no thanks ! I'm done with FIRESTONE ! Down to Fuacount i went and I'll be on the road again Soon after they repair my tire ! My mistake for taking my eyes off the road. As I was turning I clipped the front right tire. It started hissing and I knew it would go flat soon. Firestone was within a quarter mile. They were closed at 8pm so I left car in parking lot with a note through the Dropbox. Brett called me early the next day. Said they would look at it this morning. I told him I did not have transportation. He said they would try to get it out soon. By around noon the car was ready for pickup. Good service and good price. UPDATE: 12/2/19 WTF so my husband goes in for an oil change and is told that something which normally takes about 30mins everywhere else is going to take an hour. Ok whatever we drop it off and go shopping. We come back an hour and a half later and it's still not done. Not only that, but all the tires are off. What the f*ck? This happened last time we went there. Last time they had talked his company into buying new tires. We think they are trying to do the same again so we leave and go get a car wash. When we come back it's still not done. I drop my husband off and take my 8mo baby home. It has now been five hours since the original drop off the car And my husband is still not home! Again I ask what the f*ck? Folks just don't go here. I will keep updating this bad review in an attempt to get you all to listen. I hope nobody gets here because it is so terrible. I should have read the reviews! Terrible talk about Nickle and dining someone! I got four new tires and an oil change. They called trying to sell me more stuff twice. They tried to sell me a battery replacement and I told them I replaced it recently. Also when your putting all new tires on someone's car don't you do an alignment??? Guess not! That's another $84. i don't even know where to start... if there was an option for zero stars i would be giving that!!! i made an appointment to bring my car in to get the fog light replaced. a couple days before my appointment, a grinding noise started on the drivers side wheel when i would turn the steering wheel to either side. when i took my car in for the appointment, the girl at the front desk was very nice and helpful, saying that they could definitely check out the grinding even though that's not what my original appointment was for. a couple hours go by and i get a call from her, saying that something in my CV axle is broke, causing the grinding. that kind of took me by surprise because my car isn't that old, with only 50,000 miles on it. i got the quote for the repairs and everything totaled out to just over $1,500. before i spend that money i took my car to a different shop for a second opinion. this mechanic told me that there's absolutely nothing wrong with my car, and what was causing the grinding noise was my floor mat inside my car, being pushed up against the steering wheel column. when we moved my floor mat, and turned the steering wheel, there was absolutely no grinding! i wanted to be triple sure so i took my car to a third shop and they said the same thing! nothing wrong with my car! i want to know WHY firestone felt the need to try to scam me out of $1,500! thank god i have the common sense to get a second opinion! this was my first trip to firestone and it will definitely be my last! read more

So we know first hand about all of the ups and downs of the business including the service biz. Firestone had a bad rap for a while, but now it's a totally new ballgame. Saturday morning appointment at 8am. Dropped off the truck Friday evening to insure prompt start when they opened the next day. Fast forward Saturday Noon...not a peep out of Firestone. Called the center and was told, "Oh yeah, we are behind. Will call you when we get to it...." Could you have called at 8am saying there would be at least a 4 hour delay? Customer Service 101?? We have been die hard fans of Firestone through two generations of my family. Recently relocated to Castle Rock, so the store is much more convenient than in my previous location. Hesitant to go to the Castle Rock location due to the POOR POOR YELP and GOOGLE reviews...but decided to try them anyway. Front and rear brakes need done about every two years due to size and mileage of my SUV. No problem, I get it. Price for front brake service has DOUBLED in two years....really? Inflation, hmmmm. WOW! Then the "add" ons were put on the estimate....thermostat, upper and lower radiator hoses ($17-20 at any auto parts store)...estimated $51.99 and $54.99 just for the hoses. $66.99 estimate for the thermostat ($20.79 at the auto parts store OEM) Ridiculous mark up! I understand repair store markup...standard 30%....but, really??? All said and done estimate was $543 without tax. Local reputable shop with 5 star rating across a hundred reviews quoted me $250 with tax. Then the "new battery" they said I needed. $185 plus $15 to install. Most service centers do it at no charge if you purchase their battery. I purchased it new from Firestone 3 years ago (interstate), they had no record of it. I was insistent that I purchased it there, and was met with a "No you didn't" sharp reply. Said I never purchased it there... Funny how that happens. Went home and got my Firestone receipt for the purchase of the interstate battery at Firestone 5/9/15. Funny how those computer records at the store never seem to be accurate. The battery tested fine at my NEW mechanic. Trust is a thing of the past, even at places like Firestone. Castle Rock BEWARE!!! read more

I have always taken my car to Firestone for routine maintenance, so I continued to do so when I moved to Castle Rock just over two years ago. However, the quality of this location is not comparable to my prior experience with Firestone in IL. Every time I bring my car in for an oil change, the staff attempts to upsell me. Services sold to me include new tires, that I need a new battery, that I need various flushes, etc. Each time I expect to pay ~$30 but I end up needing to pay at least $300. This last time I went in for an oil change, they recommended a new battery claiming mine had failed their test, that I needed a coolant system flush and to have my brake fluid flushed. They also quoted me $300 to replace the motor for my windshield wipers, which had stopped functioning. I opted to replace the battery and not do the flushes or replace the motor. They wanted $550 for the three services that I didn't get. This past weekend, I brought my vehicle to a local, privately owned mechanic for a second quote, and he told me that I didn't need EITHER flush (in fact there is a meter in the coolant system that says I last had a flush of the system done 20k miles ago, an obvious sign I DIDN'T need that service), and that my brake fluid looked perfectly fine. The new mechanic also charged me nearly $200 less to replace the windshield wiper motor. DO NOT bring your car here unless you want to get routinely upsold unnecessary services and well as overcharged for parts and labor. Extremely disappointed and wondering how much $$ I've wasted on previous visits to this establishment. They also take 2-3 hrs for an oil change even if you have an appointment. read more

If I could give them a 0 I would. They took advantage of me and tried to tell me I needed a new tire. They said I had 3 holes in my tire. I found that weird since my car has only 7k miles. Then they told me if I wanted to buy all 4. I went to discount torea and it was 1 nail. They fixed it free. No haste to lies. Avoid them! They will o anything to sell you a tire. In fact at Discount tire they told me if one tire needed to be changed I wouldn't need all 4 bc my tires were still great. read more

My husband brought his Dodge Ram in for a battery and system check. They said it showed he needed a battery for 266.00 and an alternator for 636.99!! Yes you read that right. He said no and went and picked it up. They charged us 107.54 for the "check". Went down the street to auto zone. They did a check free put battery in, showed him scan. Alternator was fine. 168.00 total!!! Truck is starting great. Do not go to unless you want to waste your money. Happy Thanksgiving read more

My experience was very limited but exceeded expectations. My girlfriend and I are in Sedalia for a wedding. My check engine light came on as we were driving here. Because I have a Rav4 when my check engine light comes on it overrides my 4 wheel drive, cruise control, and skid control. Today's forecast is 8 inches of snow up to 3 feet in the mountains. I knew the check engine light is a malfunction because my software needs updated and isn't recognizing that my O2 sensor was replaced. All I needed was the check engine light reset so I could have 4 wheel drive to get back to Denver in the snow and ice tonight. Midas up the road turned me away. Initially the kind man, Andrew, who greeted me offered for me to pull up and pop the hood so he could let me know what size wrench to buy so I could unplug my battery and reset it myself. Once I had the hood popped he was helpful enough to detach it himself, make pleasant conversation while we waited a few minutes, and reattach the battery. It was a success, my 4 wheel drive is back and I feel so grateful that Andrew was able to give us peace of mind for our drive home tonight. read more

I had a leaking tire valve after filling up my tires myself and I knew it was unsafe to drive. Firestone was close by but it was Saturday and very busy and they were short staffed with lots of cars in the bays. The store manager came out to my car and personally tightened the valve and filled up my tires right away. I was so thrilled with the customer service and he wouldn't take payment. He said he just took over this location as the manager last week and I plan to take my car back when I need service. He was awesome! read more

I had an appointment to install two front tires. While there I asked if they could flush the brake fluid. They said yes. Two hours later, they found out that they lacked brake fluid, and had to order some. After 2 1/2 hours I got my car back, and all they had done was install two tires. I never come to Firestone, to begin with, but I was looking around to find out what locations would be able to change my headlight since it had gone out. I made an appointment at this location and then was called to ask if that appointment was flexible. They then gave me a completely different time to drop off my vehicle. I waited around and they changed my headlight quickly. When it was time to pay I was shocked. The total just to change a headlight was over $75. The bulb itself was only $12.99 but the labor was more than $60 for "half an hour" of service. They didn't even take a half an hour to change the bulb. That is about what an oil change costs me. Outrageous. The man who was helping me was very kind and I know this was no fault of his. They truly just have a poor business model. I found out that Walmart Auto Care Centers will change the bulb for $7.50. That plus the price of the bulb would be less than half the price of what I paid. Learned my lesson there. There is truly something wrong with your pricing model when the price of the labor is five times the price of the part itself. Never will I go back here for any service on my car. read more
