Great Sam's Club, been going for 4+ years now. Staff is very friendly and helpful and they have a a great variety of all types of goods. Wife and I enjoy the great values and ease of shopping here. Wide Selection of affordable baby clothes, vitamin water, frozen foods, and vitamins. The scan-and-go feature helps alleviate the crowds as well. Only negative is that Costco beats them in the food court, pizza/hotdogs because they have a much smaller staff to prepare foods even though their pizza beats costco pizza. We visit Costco much less often vs Sam's Club nowadays...it just has more of what we're looking for. read more

Not really happy with Sam's Club. They have membership, you pay and then they refused to give you a membership card. I don't want to use an app for everything. Much easier to have a physical card that doesn't get all my phone data. Also if you use the app at the Gas Station it has to be tied to a specific credit card. Customer service was no help, they said if I get their Master Card then I would get a physical membership card. Very annoying. I guess I will spend my money a Costco who allows you get a physical card. I was an add on member from my husband anyway, won't be spending our household money here. read more

Sam's Club is doing a disservice to customers. If you ask for a physical card , they will make up a story on the spot and say "they ran out"

Wouldn't utilize the tire service. Made an appt for 8 and waited 20 mins to be checked in. Only to be told, I was double booked and it's going to take over 2 hours. Go to Discount, bought 4 tires within 20 mins and will be done in an hour, and within $20 of Sam's price. read more

I love this convenient location i shop around here and it's next to a Home Depot. Plenty of parking but it is a busy location so If you find close parking go buy a lottery ticket because you're lucky. I have to admit I love the sushi here usually if I haven't had dinner I grab some sushi and try all the different ones and I have not disliked any. What a great store. Always immaculate, lines move fast and extremely clean. HOWEVER, the optical department is severely lacking. I made an appointment with the optometrist two weeks in advance with an extremely nice lady. I arrived on time and headed back to the office where I found a prior customer exiting. I approached the optometrist and told him I had a 2 o'clock appointment and was told, there are two ahead of you! I asked how long would the wait be since I did have an appointment and was told about an hour. He saw I was a little upset and offered to reschedule my appointment. I mean I was pissed. I drove 20 minutes and taken off two hours from work to make this appointment. What good is making an appointment if you don't honor the appointment?? He just shrugged and smiled. Maybe time for new staff here to compliment, the excellent front end staff. One more item, the ladies in the food court are beyond excellent. I know they are short staffed sometimes, and the line can get extremely long but, they work quickly and efficiently, and always with a smile. Great job ladies! read more

TRied entering the store today, cart guy cut me off with a line of carts, and would not let me into the store. Asked multiple times saying excuse me but he continued to ignore me. We like Sam's club and shop there whenever we can. Just my opinion here - but Sam's doesn't carry as much heathy choices as COSTCO. However, Sam's wins in the checkout area! And prices are comparable. We bought grapes, sushi, beer, wine, nectarines, bananas, bagels, apples and water. We used our phone app to checkout and pay skipping the cash registers. No reason so I called no reason given then changed to pick up today and they changed it for tomorrow which was not acceptable since needed items today. Had to drive to Sam's Club and do the shopping and double checked to make sure it was cancelled. They need to have workers on phone who speak English. Manager refused to refund a defective product. I bought a pack of yogurts and ate a few only to find half of them were factory sealed but completely empty. The customer service person, Tracy, was very helpful and kind. I loved her smile. She was very patient with me as I am not super handy with apps on phones etc. Andre, in the tire department, was also very helpful and kind. Those two would make me want to shop here however, going thru the cashier and management was not a good thing. We were offered a $10.00 off when we joined and they did not honor it!!! I have slowly but surely really to enjoy Sam's club. I've been a big Costco guy my whole life but I feel like Sam's offers some really great value as well. They offer certain products that Costco doesn't have and I really love their scan and go option on their app which makes checking out super convenient. If you consider yourself a Costco person, I would highly recommend checking out Sam's for a little different experience that I feel is worth it. read more

Great selection of various products, except for women's clothing. Men's options get better; women's get fewer and fewer. The big difference between Sam's and other big warehouses is check out. They've made it easier with lots of options: go to a cashier or do it yourself on your phone or using their equipment. No more long lines. read more

"I visited the new Sam's Club in Tempe, which just opened a few weeks ago. A few months back, I'd reached out to their senior leadership about expanding their selection of gluten-free and cleaner cereal options, and they had indicated that this new location would include more of those products. Unfortunately, that hasn't really come to fruition, which was a bit of a letdown. The store itself is brand new and looks great inside, but just a heads-up: it's entirely cashless and requires you to use their app with a credit card on file for checkout. As someone who's dealt with identity theft before, I find that a little concerning. One more note: we did notice quite a few employees around who seemed to be mostly focused on getting people signed up on the app, and a number of them were just sitting around in the food court area. It did make me wonder why they don't have cashiers if they have that many staff on the floor. All in all, it's a nice modern store, but if you're looking for those specialty items or a more flexible payment option, it's something to keep in mind." read more

People with dogs that clearly are not service animals are not being asked to leave the store. Today a little yappy dog was sitting in a cart, barking at everyone, and another guy was walking his french merle bulldog. Guy admitted it wasn't a service animal, and said "but the managers can't do anything about it". The dog peed in the frozen food aisle. Guy laughed and walked away. Absolutely disgusting. Manager admitted she knew it wasn't a service animal as well but says corporate doesn't care. I filed a complaint with the health dept. People need to STOP bringing their NON service dogs into stores and Sam's needs to enforce their policy admitting only service animals. Costco enforces it, may be time to cancel here and go there. read more

I would like to thank Xavier, who apparently is some wannabe new manager they hired who felt it's a good use of his time to follow me 200 yards through the store and ask me if I had a membership while I was shopping all the way in the back by produce... When I showed him, I was using scan and go, which obviously means I'm a member. He still stood there, harassing me until I finished my shopping, checked out in front of him and showed him my QR code, and he still wouldn't leave me alone. I literally had to ask for another manager, because he wouldn't leave me alone and kept following me even after I paid. Demeaning experience, and he did it the whole time with a shit eating grin on his face. horribly condescending and rude...some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life and I've been a business member here for 14 years. It's almost like he was completely completely clueless. How to deal with a situation that required no interaction whatsoever. What's the point of scan and go if you're going to have managers harassing members of 1.5 decades for their membership, and when they produce it to you still won't leave them alone... Grab a clue. Standard Sam's Club experience. First time visiting this particular store, but found it clean and well maintained. I use the scan and go so didn't have a need or opportunity to engage with any employees other than the one who verifies your receipt at the exit and she was fine. I normally don't leave a bad review unless a place actually deserves it & this place absolutely deserves it!! The Sam's Club Food Court are absolutely the WORST in customer service. They just look at you with no greeting or verbal acknowledgement when you are in front of them at register. NEVER a "thank you"or "have a nice day..." or anything. You never see them smile or anything. They are frequently rude and blunt. I am a regular customer and I frequent there. I continue to see same old attitudes. Honestly, the only staff exception is the Latina/mexican/ Hispanic woman who makes pizza & does pickup orders. She is awesome, attentive, & friendly. "SAM'S CLUB... train your staff better!! Every time I've tried to go through the self check out- I've always done the walk of shame back to the counter because I forgot to scan something. This Sam's club is located in a very busy area right off the freeway. The gas station for Sam's club is actually in front of the Home Depot and the line can get pretty chaotic depending on the time of day you go. Sometimes gas is cheaper here but recently I've found it's not that much cheaper from other local gas stations. Mornings seem to be the best time to go as the afternoon and evenings are quite busy. Recently they began doing samples again for lunch time so if you need a snack, stop on by! I utilize the scan and go most of the time I go so I can't speak much about register wait times. However, I have had to use the self checkout and didn't wait too long for that. The door attendants for going in and out are very polite and friendly. Even in the automotive area the gentleman I interacted with was quite friendly and helpful. The inside of the store is always clean and well organized. It's hit or miss with the meat being in stock at this location though. The parking lot is quite large but the closer you try to park to the doors here the crazier the parking lot seems to be. My advice just park in the middle back to avoid the hot mess parking up front. read more

I was on Operation Graduation Party duty for the Bakery portion & opted to come here for the "get everything in one place for many people" approach. Personalized Facial Cake was perfect as Danny the co-Baker carried the huge sheet of cake to the front for me. After picking up other items, headed to check out. I got a grouchy Cashier, yet the exit employee checking receipts made up for the negative vibes. I'm not sure what the hate is on Sam's Club. They have pretty good quality food. You can buy things in bulk that need to be bulk (i.e. TP). They've actually gravitated away from bulk a little to have a better selection of smaller quantities for families IMHO. They have samples. Food court is pretty unbeatable for the price. Bakery is practically giving away food. Gas is almost always the lowest price (having to wait in line kind of sucks). read more
