Everyone is on the Costco bandwagon. I get it, they offer great deals and have more varieties to choose from. I feel Sam's Club is just as good. My parents used to have a membership back in the day and I looked forward to going. I just recently purchased a membership. My fiancée and I went on a weekend. It was super packed. The items were fully stocked, organized, and aisles were marked so you are able to find what you are looking for. We found a lot of great deals. They have mark downs of items they are trying to get rid of. I love the food samples, their meat, frozen section, and random oddities. Sam's also offers, tires, optical and pharmacy. My Mr and I haven't tried the cafe, but will partake the next time we visit. Check out was very smooth. There were lines but every register was open. We didn't have to wait long. We did the self check out. They no longer do the cards. You use their app on your phone, pull up your membership number and there is a bar code you scan. Overall, we had a great experience and looking forward to a year of saving more money. I'll always be a Sam Club member. read more

I hadn't been to a Sam's club in many years but my fiancée got a membership through her work and we decided to go on a Saturday. Let me tell you, I'd completely forgotten everything they have to offer, and even she was a bit overwhelmed. You could spend almost an entire day looking at everything and not even realize it. Food items, clothing, drinks (including adult libations), electronics, stuff for babies and pets, tires, batteries for almost anything, a massive selection of meats, a pharmacy, an eye care center, and so much more. They still have lots of product samples on weekends too. It's easy to leave with a lot more than you expected to get. Yeah, we'll be keeping this membership. read more

This was my first time ever being in a Sam's Club. It's huge! I didn't really shop, as my daughter came for something specific. But I did look around a little bit and ended up with a new Gap linen shirt and short set. And for a great price! They do have to check all of your purchases as you are leaving. They scan the receipt and each item you bought. There was a line of people and one person had a whole cart of stuff. I totally understand needing to verify payment for items. There just needs to be a better system. Unfortunately, one lady got irritated with the store member for being held up by the line and extra scanning and was snippy to her. If I could give negative stars I would. Place is impossible to get ahold of anyone. Had my tires rotated a week ago and have had problems everyday since. Have been trying to call multiple days, multiple times to get it back in. Finally checked my lug nuts today and every single lug nut on my front driver side wheel was so loose I could tighten them by hand. read more

I like costco better but they are fine for what they have. Deals of month are nice. 4.99 chicken is great. Hard to get in tire appointment. Long lines at checkout and servicedesk. They are pushing self checkout or app checkout. Charges for delivery or pickup. Gas is cheaper in price. Not a lot of employees on floor. Sample days are fun. Desserts are good deals. Today I had the worst experience I've ever had at any sams club. The "manager" Calvin was extremely rude to my wife and I because they messed up a cake that we ordered and we just wanted a new one with what we ordered. When I showed up to pick up the new cake he had the audacity to tell me he was going to revoke my membership, had three guys escort me out and rudely asked for the cake back so he could resell it after it had already left the store for a few hours. I came across this Sam's Club while looking for Jungle Jim's, when the navigation pushed me north instead of south. Of course, the current construction in the area didn't help. Entering the building, I was greeted by a pleasant person. Have you ever noticed how much more pleasant most employees are working at Sam's Club vs. Walmart? While the electronics were to the right, the layout of the department was different than most, and coincided with the store at Washington, PA, the movies being in that department, instead of with the books. They really like to hit you with those expensive TVs as you enter the building. I always feel as though I should take 4 or 5 from the front row home with me. Thankfully, Sam's Club refusal to accept Visa keeps me from doing anything silly like that. While I looked through the store, I really didn't find much to cause me to buy anything. I'm even considering letting my membership lapse because they just don't seem to fit any longer. They have a few interesting things but I suspect the competition (BJ's Wholesale, Costco), have got the better merchandise lately. Also, where Sam's Club has fuel, they are slow to add diesel fuel and I don't use gasoline any longer. Sure, they still have items in the food that are good, and they have GNC vitamins at a major discount ($60 vs $20?) that I've been taking but $45 per year for a few things and no fuel just doesn't add up. read more

Other visits though are great and staff are helpful and selection of products is great. Unfortunate how slow the service was here. I got one Bob Evans's giftcard via Sams Club Pick Up and it took nearly 20 minutes waiting at the pick up desk to get some help. I even tried to get some help from the door greeter but they ignored me when I tried to say hello. I dont know what is more humiliating... saying hello and being ignored or standing in front of a person asking for help and them staring at you blankly while talking into their headset...not acknowledging you at all. In summary this was a horrible experience for me and I think upper management needs to take a look at how they train their people to take care of their guests... I am a huge fan of SAMS! This location is very much like the others in that it offers great deals in bulk at a fair rate. This location had a few different options compared to the Fields Ertel location (that I usually frequent). I found different prices on items, as well as some organic cranberries. It is interesting, as each location offers the majority of the same items but also several different items and prices. Some items even go on clearance faster than others at different locations. One of the perks of this location is their outside greenery section. They had tons of plants and flowers to purchase outside of the store. There were tons of shelves of flowers and lots of options at a good price! Don't forget to check out the jewelry counter here! They had some pieces at various prices. Their book collection was also very extensive compared to the Field's Ertel location. read more

It's Sams. It's a great place if you're making dinner for 82 people. For a normal person/family...it tends to be a little bit of excess. Although, I do like the fact that I can buy 3 lbs of peanut butter for under $10. The lines are usually pretty terribly long when there are 8-10 closed lines. The woman who stands at the exit and has to "read" people's receipts before they leave is one of the most unnecessary things on the planet. Seriously...I buy some peanut butter, and I have to wait behind a line of 8 people...each buying enough food for a small country so she can take my receipt and draw a line though it w/out even looking at it. Get over yourself, Sams...people can't smuggle out that much food under their shirts. read more

Great Sams Club with friendly staff it is so nice and fun to got through. I buy Berenstain Bears stuff a lot . I come and buy books. The bulk food is really good and they also have a good selection of clothes for a good price. The cereal is cheap here too. The staff is so friendly and they have the Wi-Fi. I have a membership many years, Everything is always great. This location is also very clean inside and out . Also offers clothing, rice bags, dental floss, electronics, produce, frozen foods, ect. Sam's club is a subsidiary of Wal-Mart store and offers bulk goods at a discounted price. The store providea few hot button items at the entrance. The greeter is surprisigly helpful and tends to know exactly where items are located. Sam's is great, and I have been happy with it. read more

I have been a member for at least 10 years. All in all I've been happy over the years, but there aren't moving with times. What I mean is that they have very little orgainic food. As much as I like how much I saved on some things, what happened during my visit there really turned me off to Sams club. There was a demo person doing some kind of skin care thing and despite me telling her that I wasn't interested she was pushy and went ahead and grabbed my hand and started putting the skincare on it, which is not okay to me at all. Even worse, the stupid crap she put on my wrist gave me some weird bump. So so so not okay, this is not how you get people to buy things. read more

I love this Sams Club location! My husband and I visited yesterday, and the club manager was serving pizza samples (with a pizza hat on). How awesome! We love the self checkout lane, and the store is always clean. We can usually find good deals on clothing and home goods at the end of each season. Love this store! read more

A good option for your wholesale needs. We have a Sam's Club card mainly for the benefits of getting $0.05 off gas at the Sam's pump. We generally don't buy a lot of food here, as it can sometimes be waste when you don't have a large family to feed. I always like getting basic things like toiletries here. I go to this Sam's Club weekly . I don't know why the poor rating from others because it is just as nice if not nicer than other Sam's Club stores. It is always very clean inside and out. I have been to other stores and this has not been the case. I know the person Jennie I is talking about and I complained to upper management about her. She is long gone and should not have a reflection on this store. The food is always fresh and they try to get you through the line quickly. My mom and I went to Sam's in Eastgate for some last minute Christmas shopping. We received help from an employee named Billy. He had excellent customer service and seemed happy to help us. Thanks to Billy my dad will receive a "bug a salt" for Christmas. It's unfortunately not common to have this good of customer service anymore now a days. Give Billy a raise! My husband and I have been Sam club members for years! We recently moved and the closest SAMs location to us is now the eastgate location. Well we will not be returning to this location ever again! I will take the extra 20 minuets and drive to a different location. I wish I would of gotten the cashiers and managers name but I was so upset I didn't. She was so rude to my husband and I for using the Similac $5 check. For those who don't know the baby formula brand, Similac send out $5 checks to use on their formula. This is great since SAMs takes them you get the biggest bang for your buck. The cashier made us feel like we were such a hassle since the check wasn't scanning. She called over the manager in a huff and even the manager was rude. There was NO smile and NO acknowledgment to us. The manager accidentally tore the check while trying to scan it. She just handed it to me in pieces and said well your not going to be able to use that now. Oh but wait I have more in my bag. I handed her another one and she rolled her eyes and scanned it. The check finally scanned and we paid and left. I was so humiliated for how I was being treated. I will make a point to tell my neighbors, friends and family to not go to this location. My business is now at a different SAMs. read more
