Very pleased with my recent interaction at this Sam's Club. My sister ordered a cake for her baby shower and the pickup was set to be ready around 10-11. I normally visit Sam's for gas and a pizza combo. This is first Sam's that DOES not include Icee's as an option in the pizza combo. 30 oz. fountain drinks and the 20 oz. Ice is the same price: $89. AND, it took the cashier asking several others for guidance. Why is this Sam's the only one? This is not customer/member friendly, especially since the cafe makes no money and is nothing more than an incentive for members to enter the store. Not happy at all with this location. :( read more

May be misleading but giving this Sam's Club review solely on their gas. I found a Groupon on a Sam's membership that ultimately gave me a free year + $25 in rewards, an offer I could not refuse. Gas in this area can get pricey so more often than not the delta has been $.30 cheaper/gallon from a Wawa or Raceway which is a huge savings!! Unless I'm under 50mi from E, I make my way to Sam's or Costco. The location of this Sam's club is across the way from Costco (I admit I am a member of both...) but to me Sam's has an edge simply for its location right off Gulf to Bay and US-19 whereas Costco is nestled further down, another U-turn ans light away. I love love love that they have a QR code I can scan at the pump to quickly fill up my tank. As soon as you open the app and scan, it has you quickly verify your card on file. No need to dig through your wallet to pull out 1-2 cards at the pump. Such a simple way to be in and out in minutes! I often switch my wallet/bag around and mistakenly left my Costco card at home one time. Having the membership card linked to my Sam's app is such a breeze and once I was on the Costco gas line and had this realization, it was a no brainer for me to cross the street and hop on the Sam's line. The price difference was a penny off which was awesome. I do have to shave one star off simply because the line is terrible with the tight space, especially for those coming in from the parking lot vs. The highway entrance... not sure how to help this but there is absolutely no structure and once you're in the tail end of the parking lot entrance, it's an awkward single file line that isn't sure which pump it leads to... if you do want to inch towards a specific pump, you then block one of the exits to the highway... just a huge free-for-all stressful mess, but worth it for a value! read more

I decided to try some of their prepared sushi. It always looks good. I bought the Sushibox Samurai Sushi Party Platter (40 pieces) ($19.98) and their Tuna Nigiri (6 pieces) ($9.98). What a pleasant surprise! Their sushi was much more flavorful than the prepared sushi we had gotten at Publix. Also, it was much less expensive than Publix! I wouldn't recommend the tuna nigiri because the package we got was too tough...too much sinew. The sushi isn't as good as a typical restaurant sushi but it wasn't bad. I'm not at the point where I feel safe eating at sit-down restaurant, yet. Otherwise, I can definitely recommend their Sushibox Samurai Sushi Party Platter. read more

I ordered an LG washer and dryer from samsclub.com. Member benefits include free delivery, free installation, free takeaway of old washer and dryer, and an extended warranty. During checkout, I find out that LG does not deliver to my address so I cannot order through Sam's Club. WTF? I just spoke with three different customer reps (who responded very quickly), but they could not do anything about it. Why does LG carrier limitations have anything to do with my order from Samsclub.com? It would be nice if Sams Club made that clear in the product details. Update (1 hour after speaking with last Sam's Club rep): I ordered the exact same washer/dryer from LG.COM. No problem at all shipping to my address. Today we ventured outside of our neighborhood and traveled to Clearwater to explore. First stop was Sam's Club! I know, I know... it's just Sam's but noooo! During a pandemic, it's a different experience in every city! This was probably one of the nicest, most stocked and cleanest Sam's Club I've been in. Sanitizer was everywhere to use and every aisle was neat and organized. We found tons of things that were not normally in the North Dale location that we go to. The frozen food section was pleasantly stocked up and provided an abundance of variety. Something I reallyyyyy loved were all the different wine and champagne options. Again, much more than our normal location! With this location being only 20 mins from home, we will definitely be back for our grocery and cleaning supply needs! My wife found a bag of money that someone apparently left in her shopping cart by mistake - crazy right. She turned it in to the manager Joy (what a misnomer) and she refused to file a police report choosing to keep the money "internally". She also refused to give the money back for us to file a police report (? suspicious don't ya think - not wanting the police to take custody?) We have reached out to the regional manager Don Nickens (813-689-9136) but haven't heard back from him yet. The interaction with the Clearwater Says Club Manager was sub par - considering my wife turned in a bag of cash. Do not shop here. Awful, awful customer service/dispute resolution. Purchased 2 tires as a pair to replace a flat. I specifically asked the non-flat tire to be put in as the spare (it was only 4000 miles old). Tire center manager wrote a note but after a mix-up during install they gave me back the blown up tire... I went back to tell them the situation and the tire center manager was nice enough and trying to help. I wouldn't get a free tire, but I offered to buy an entire 2nd pair of tires ($250+) if they gave me around a 40% discount. This was entirely reasonable as they threw away both an almost brand new tire that would have been a perfect spare, AND my actual spare tire and replaced it with literal garbage (blown-up tire). He went to speak with with store management, and they had the audacity to say they would offer a $25 gift card... a $25 gift card as compensation for throwing away TWO of my tires, and the only way to get it is to spend $250+ more at a place that just screwed me over. Will not be renewing our membership. Corporate idiocy strikes again. read more

I have both Sam's and Costco and they both have items the other so I have both memberships. I always use Sam's Pharmacy though and found out a nugget or two - they price match so shop around and they will call the other pharmacy and match so it is convenient to stay with Sam's. The other item on Pharmacy is with insurance I have them check the Insurance and the Cash only price and a couple of my items are lower paying cash than the required co-pay on insurance. Sam's is great and I have the membership which pays back a % reward which is always enough to pay for the upgraded membership. read more

I used to have a Costco membership a few years back but I felt very uncomfortable there like I was in a Trump Rally or something ALL WHHITE. I should've left after a couple of mins but I'm stupid! Finally she came to take my order after doing a lot in the back, unfortunately I asked for a pretzel & of course I get the pretzel that was sitting in the heat window, she takes it to the back & Doctors-it-up & by the time I eat it, it is HARD! Prices aren't really great like you would think. Way better deals at any supermarket around for groceries if you just follow sales ads. Gas is the only upside cuz its usually 10 to 20 cents cheaper per gallon. But be warned the lines get longer than Route 66. I would bring a drink and at least one meal so you can get through the line sanely lol. If you have ever seen the movie Falling Down this is it in your real life. Beware of line cutters or bring an air horn to annoy them if they cut YOU. Enjoy the 72 pack of Gatorade, the 26 pounds of chicken, and the 64 oz. Of salted peanuts you just bought. CAKE ONLY REVIEW Food samples: Easy checkout: Buying a cake for a party: Kinda lacking. Usually I'm a fan of Sam's club, though I do always end up going to an afternoon smorgasbord of snacks. Unfortunately this time was not a time. I recently purchased a custom cake for my high school graduation party. It was a large sheet cake serving about 40 people. The writing was all good when I received it, which was excellent as my name tends to be misspelled. However, it was rather plain, I had to ask for gold flakes to be sprinkled on top to give it some umph. That is, unfortunately, not the problem at hand. As soon as I left the store, the cake started falling apart. The edges started to peel off then the cake turned from a pretty dessert to the leaning tower of confectionary. I am a fan of Sam's Club and their foods, but I definitely do not recommend purchasing a custom cake unless you want an item that's falling as fast as the ice caps. Update: Cake has since been eaten and although the display was CLEARLY lacking, the chocolate was quite enjoyable. read more

This review is based just off of using the gas pumps. I signed up for a Sam's club membership and downloaded the app, but haven't made it in to get my physical card yet. I stopped in at the gas pump at around 8pm and realized there was nowhere to scan the cards on apps. The attendants were very friendly and helpful and overrode the system so that I was able to pump gas. Gas there at the time was about $0.10-0.15/gallon cheaper than regular gas stations. I usually spend about $35-$38 to fill up and it ended up being $28 for a full tank of gas at Sams! read more

One employee RAN past me twice within my personal space. At that point I left without purchase. I know the argument will be you cannot control the public. I don't know why other reviewers don't like this location. I shop here about twice a month and I've always gotten everything I needed. If they don't have it, it's because Sam's Club doesn't carry it. I usually buy around 10-15 items so I use the Self-Checkout lanes. Yes, the other lines are very long, but if you don't mind scanning your own items, then it's not a long wait at all. Getting in and out of this location is a bit difficult because of the extremely busy intersection. Be very careful when you exit onto Gulf To Bay and try to get onto the left lane to go north onto US 19. read more

OK, I like this place. It's HUGE, and full of stuff I want. It's very possible that I spend more money, because things look like such a good deal! We buy bulk items that are two to three times the amount for almost the same price for a single. That makes no sense does it? OK, I buy one bulk package containing three large ketchup bottles, for the price I pay for one at the grocery store. (give or take). It's normally a pretty busy store, with TVs, and mattresses, cases of booze just flying out of the door. We routinely buy tax-ables like TP, laundry detergent, paper towels, dog food. It lasts a LONG time. Like I said, I'm not sure if I really save any money. Membership is sixty bucks a year, (roughly) . But, I feel like I do?!? Lol. read more
