Pharmacist is obnoxious, rude, and barely speaks English although today after a disagreement he used sign language for his lack of understanding English. After a disagreement he started yelling in a language I didn't understand but after giving me the middle finger 4 times in front of his staff and customers I said, "Oh I get what your saying now try it in English." Long story short he has been filling controlled substances to my wife for years to me. He is required for every controlled substances to ask for ID. Never once do he ask me and for all he knows I could have been selling them in the streets. We get in an argument about the price of the drugs and he refuses to fill the script. After having him cuss me out and giving me the middle finger 4 times I leave. I go to Walgreens with the script and they not only asked for ID but called my wife's doctor and my wife. I didn't mind, I was treated with respect. The script was filled and the next thing I get home and my wife is in tears because this jerk threatened to call the Dea on her!!! She had a valid script and he is the one the Dea needs to talk to. You can't fill a controlled substance script without proper authentication and he is the one the Dea needs to look into. I filed a complaint with the bbb and his stores website. My review disappeared within hours. Beware of this guy. Could be part of something nefarious? read more

The Medicine Shoppe has been in business before I arrived in Dunedin in 1963. I guess 59 years is a testament for the type of business they are. I moved out of Dunedin about 20 years ago but was looking for a repair for my walker. I went to many places and meant to call Medicine Shoppe. I finally did and they were amazing. I called, I went in and in 15 minutes they repaired my walker for a minimal fee. But most importantly was the friendly attitude of everyone that worked there. Not only that they allowed me to bring my dog (extremely friendly, they did ask) in to sit with me. And had a treat for him. Glowing reviews. read more

Do not use this drugstore! The first time you go in, everything is fine. The next time they will charge you 100 dollars more than the last time and say " oops, someone gave you the wrong price last time, now you pay this much "!! I will never go back because they really do not care and basically, they got you by your short hairs!! read more

I love The Medicine Shoppe and their employees. Originally they did not take my insurance so I went to Walgreens. I have stayed with Walgreens because they have longer hours; The Medicine Shoppe delivers, but I have to be home to take delivery which usually is not convenient. I DO get my dog's eye medicines there because it is much less expensive than anywhere else. Today I decided I'd better get a walker before I fall down and received great help in the store. I think I might just go back and get another one so I have one in the car and one in the house. I am still quite active and taking the one I bought back and forth - car to house - turns out to more of a hassle than I want. read more

I decided to switch my medications over to the pharmacy because it was roughly $80 cheaper a month to have all my medications filled here. Today was my 3rd month getting them filled here. There was a misunderstanding on my part. The "not so" gentleman, Joey, literally started yelling at me. Even after I said it was my fault that I didn't know better. Like how do I know how their computer system works, cause that's what he was yelling at me about, because I didn't understand how my prescription profile worked. Seriously I'd rather pay the extra $80 a month at Walgreens, then be treated like that. It was literally such a simple mistake on my part, and he flipped his shit. If it wasn't such a hassle to transfer prescriptions I'd do it right away. Instead, I will wait till my refills run out and then have my physician call them in to a new place or back to Walgreens. Again, I'd rather pay $80 more a month, then be belittled over a mistake. I feel sorry for all the customers here who can't afford to go else where and are stuck dealing with him. And no, I never got nasty, yelled, or belittled him. As a business owner myself, this is not how you treat customers. I would never treat someone the way he treated me, not even a bad customer. And I'm far from it. I'm nice to everyone, and treat everyone with respect. I'm assuming he is part of the family who runs it, because there's no other reason you'd keep an employee who treats people like this. I should never have been been humilated and belittled over a mistake, a misunderstanding, a lack of communication...even more so after saying that I had no clue how refills worked, and apologized for my lack of knowledge. read more
