I am not renewing my Sam's Club card. It does not benefit seniors. If you don't pay for an expensive card you can buy gas (I can never get the pumps to work) and you don't get a gas credit because you don't pay for an expensive card. The pharmacy in Normal has a great staff but it's too far to drive for just prescriptions! I quit Walmart months ago and Sam's is a big joke unless you have a huge family or waste too much money because you buy crap you can't use up before it spoils! They have even raised their prices on cinnamon muffins which are too expensive for a senior! Good riddance! read more

I was visiting Bloomington for the day and decided to stop by Sam's to see what good deals they had! I ended up leaving with the ninja creami as that was the lowest price I have seen since I've been looking at this item! I'm looking forward to making my own ice cream! There is some construction going on in the store and I asked an employee at the bakery and he said that it was for a future walk in cooler for all of the produce so that's going to be really nice and there's going to be plenty of space for that! Lots of great deals in the store are definitely worth the membership price! There are so many different types of items available for a great price, some better than others and the deals change all the time! PS I didn't buy it this time but make sure you try the Brownie and caramel sundae sometime in the near future because it is just absolutely amazing! read more

I need to write this review because I did not realize this happened till yesterday. Friday we had a great in club experience, however, we had the worst at the gas pump! Let me explain....I had a small balance on my prepaid card. I deleted all the payment information and default the payment to my prepaid card. Put in exactly the amount. Email receipt was in my app and all the credit card numbers were blocked on the receipt. Did not think much of it till I can see it was charged to our credit card instead. There was not a way to check and see if Sam's got a duplicate payment or not. I don't even know how to go about getting the receipt from the gas station to see and I cannot dispute that with the credit card company unless I have prove. What be I mess! So today I decided to go there and see if my prepaid card would work. Made a couple of purchases. I only have $1.09 left after that. I guess I resolved the issue. Been going to this store for years and even worked there for a very short time. I've never had a bad experience with staff and it is always kept clean. Otherwise, it is mostly a standard Sam's Club. If you buy in bulk or run a business, it can definitely be a money saver. The only criticism I can regularly encounter is that there are never enough tables for people eating there. DONT BUY TIRES FROM SAMS!!!! They don't talk to the tire manufacturer so the mileage warranty on tires means nothing to them! You have to contact the tire maker yourself! Do yourself a favor and buy from a tire shop. Did you know that if you can't afford (or just don't want) to be a "plus"member ( in other words pay a higher fee) you are discriminated against and not allowed to shop before 10am even though the store is open before that time. I usually don't go grocery shopping that early, but I had company coming and wanted to grab a couple of items before they arrived. I wasn't aware of Sam's stupid policy, and didn't realize that my membership wasn't as important as someone dumb enough to fall for their scam. Huge appreciation to Sam's Bakery Associates and compliments to their hiring team for selecting individuals who are creative, personable/engaging and committed to excellence in customer service. On the afternoon of Friday, June 5, my family stopped by Sams Bakery to order a birthday cake and 30 cupcakes for our daughter's upcoming birthday party. There were two associates that greeted us, took our order and explained how Sams could make our unique cake design a realty, for less (amount of money). Their pride and passion for a reputable product was exhibited in their collaboration and documentation of our order. Even though the season of COVID-19/PPE has sometimes made it difficult to connect with others....for reasons we understand.... (I.e., masks, social distancing, shields, etc) the 2 associates at Sam's Bakery on June 5th didn't allow intimacy in customer service to be compromised as they elevated their contributions/connectivity in assisting us with our order. The Christmas cards were six days late, which bad enough, but the customer service desk left me on hold for 20 minutes and hung on me twice when called to find if they had arrived to saVe me a 15 minute drive to picK them up. Had a bad experience with Steven in tires also. He threw a pen at me like a dog and was very rude. I said something to him and all he did was mumble and walk off. "Michael" at the Customer Service desk lacks empathy and is quite the passive individual, refusing to assist me in my return (of items I purchased at this very Sam's Club store) unless I practically begged him to do his job and look up my receipt via my Plus Membership card. The only reason I give it 2 stars (and not 1) is because almost every other trip to this Sam's Club, I've had a great experience. They have a bountiful selection, great prices and traditionally good customer service (better than Walmart, at least). I I highly recommend the Castle Wood Honey Roasted Turkey Breast, bottled water, large hand sanitizer (generic Germ-X), Tyson Chicken Tender(loins), and the Valley Select French Fries (30lbs box), but avoid Michael (at customer service) if you can. read more

Is rolling eyes at the customer the new motto at Sam's Club? I came in today looking to purchase my usual items for my business, which mind you spends thousands of dollars at this particular Sam's club every month and never have I ever felt so angry before. This girl who was wearing a green vest named Chelse was organizing merchandise when I came up and asked a question about an item. She rolled her eyes every time I open my mouth to ask a question and basically told me to go look for it myself because, basically her explanation is I did not look careful enough. I do not want to judge or anything but she looks and sounds like she is under the influence. I finally found another employee who was more than enthusiastic to help me locate the item. My membership, along with my employees' add-ons (6 in total) are not much but if this is how I have to feel every time I shop at Sam's Club then Id rather just go to the new Hy-vee down the street or somewhere else. Went into Sam's Club today and was informed by the greeter-gal that because I had a backpack over my shoulder, she wasn't going to let me in. Then, she changed her stance because she said that it was obviously being used as my purse so I could go in, but I had to "put it on the very bottom of the cart and do not touch it while I was in the store." I just looked at her and she was stuttering and stammering and trying to tell me that she tells people that same thing if they have a large purse or any other large bag that she deems is "too big." Errrm. Okay. Fine. I went to get my prescription at the pharmacy and really wasn't sure if I was going to get thrown out for reaching in my bag to get my billfold. I then walked around the store to see just what other people had in their carts, purse-wise. Well, wouldn't you know it? There was a couple with a big ol' bag in the front of their cart, another lady that also had a very large purse in front of her cart, and oh, wait!
