First time here. Found everything I was looking for at reasonable prices. Crowded, but everyone was moving at a good pace, so there were no congestion in the isles. Produce and meats were fresh. Food stall located in the front provided fresh and affordable food for a quick fix and the workers were welcoming and seen washing hands frequently and wearing mask. Only problem I had was, the parking spaces are too narrow and I saw many larger vehicles struggling to fit into spots. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. read more

I have been going on the website for weeks to order essentials. ( I am a 75 yr. old senior with immune issues. ) So in essence I do not want to go out. I wanted toilet paper, mask, paper towels and coffee. The website says "avail on line only" then when you add something to the cart you get an update that says out of stock! Wt.....heck. Standard Sam's. Very busy inside. For us, the main significance is that Sam's is just off the interstate and Ocala is a nice stopping point for lots of trips into the sweaty heart of Florida. Sam's gas prices are always some of the best in whatever town you are in - this one is no different. I would consider switching to Costco, but for me the membership would be an extra ~$20 and Costco let me walk around in there and look, and I just didn't see the big difference. There are some of those Kirkland items I wish I had access to, and all other things being equal I'd probably do Costco, but not with the membership difference. read more

I had called the Sams club liquor store asking what time they were open and they had told me 8:30. So, my husband goes up there at 8:20 and they locked the door literally right in front of him and told him they were closed. Extremely rude and I will never buy liquor from them again. I always do my shopping at this location, but today very unhappy, I live in Citrus county, I had an early appt at Shands Hospital in Gainesville , I arrive to store at 9:30 am, upon entering the store I was asked to show my card after showing my card , I was advised No I can not shop , Prime members only until ten am, I asked if I could please shop that i come a long way & that the time I did my shopping it would be 10:00 am answer NO. I love Sams, but their online shopping/pickup is the absolute WORST!! After trying it 4x I would never recommend it to anyone. Takes forever, items always missing and you have to go inside to get groceries. If you have to go inside you might as well use the scan/go it's faster! They are insanely unorganized!! read more

Do not do the order pick up, they usually forget half the order. Anytime I call the hold time is 18 minutes plus or I get hung up on. Considering cancelling my membership. read more

The tire department is not customer friendly. I had an appointment and had to wait in line for 50 minutes just to speak to a representative at the register. When I reached the desk he was complaining that someone had called in sick and that they were swamped. So, I asked him if he would like me to reschedule my appointment but stated that the following week would not be any better. So I decided to keep my appointment. Well, I waited and waited and waited for 4.5 hours. I approached the counter and asked if the spare had been replaced with the best of the ones taken off and he told me it was a process and I needed to wait, some more. So I waited another hour. When I saw it parked I approached the register and was told that the spare tire rim was a different size and that the tires taken off would not fit. So instead of placing the spare in the spot where it belongs, they put it inside my Suburban behind the last row of seats. Additionally, I had asked them to replace the tire sensors and the same service technician who was at the register asked me what type was needed and I didn't know so he started to go out to the car and then turned around and said that he forgot that a woman had purchased all four sensors that he had in the shop. I am not sure I believe him. Long story.....I will never purchased tires at Sams again. read more

Did an excellent job assisting customers with getting water (loading into cart). They had ALL cash registers open. The gas station entrance was blocked to allow safe entry. There was an employee in the parking lot directIng customers. I frequent this store so I know this wasn't the norm but due to preparation of Hurricane Dorian. Regardless, kudos to the courteous and helpful staff. Everyone of Sam's staff said "stay safe" or made a similar statement. To the store management, a job well done. read more

the tire shop was so unprofessional. my mother went in to get two tires put on that she purchased there and I understand she showed up an hour before closing. But instead of telling her oh we CANT put them on they said MAYBE so she said okay I'll wait and see. an hour later she says nothing ? Okay I'll take the car and tires and instead of allowing her to take them bc they wanted the sale. They said oh no we just got down with the previous car your car is up on the ramp now it getting worked on. Another HOUR passes and she asks what's going on and they tell her oh I'm sorry we are closing and couldn't get to your car. So two hours late they didn't do anything. Instead of allowing her to just take the tires and GO. smh. Never again read more

This particular Sams Club does not stock Members Mark (their own store brand) instant coffee, WHY??? We have to go to Gainesville or the Villages to get coffee. They have Members Mark decaf but not regular coffee. Is their some sort of deal going on in this store between the manager and Folgers, which is the only regular instant coffee they stock?? No, they are not out of stock, it has been like this for years. read more

I have always been very pleased with bought items here until I ordered a replacement pair of clip/magnet sun shades for the glasses I bought in the store. It has been two months now and I have not heard from your Optical department. The first excuse was that they had been put out on the shelf and sold again. The person that answered the phone said she would make certain this did not happen again and would call me as soon as they came in. I am still waiting!! read more

Tabitha in CS was so helpful! She helped me with obtaining some receipts I wasn't able to pull up on my Samsclub.com. After requesting them twice from CS Tonya and a supervisor. Who confirmed they had them and were going to send them,never did. I didn't want them to drop everything just to send me a receipt but I felt like they were treating me like a criminal for two receipts for coffee and pastries. Our company spends thousands of dollars with them each year, After verifying who I was and me providing more than enough information to further verify my identity, My request was pretty simple. I used to be a Sam's Club member until I got my Costco membership. I still purchase wine from Sam's. I can purchase wine/hard liquor in other states without a membership. The liquor is in a different part of the building, closed off from the regular store. It is like that here, but they only have hard liquor. For wine, you must enter the store. I grabbed two bottles & went to the self checkout. I asked the associate if it was possible to buy liquor without a membership card. She said yes, but you had to buy liquor outside, that I would need a card to buy the wine in store. I don't understand how you can in other states but you need a card in Florida. They should be able to override it & sell liquor without a membership like they're supposed to. read more

You need to know and watch your pricing for items as always. Wine is cheaper, boneless chicken breasts a LOT cheaper, some of the produce is good, others not so much. Large families and small businesses can save some money on many items. Like Costco (and I wish we had one here) some things just aren't worth it if you wind up throwing half away. I watch the Publix weekly ads and sometimes they are a better deal - for what I need for my house and family. Their gas prices are the same as Walmart here and are NOT any cheaper than the Kangaroo or Racetrac. read more

We went here for the first time this week. Just wanted to compliment the sales and service staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Extra gold stars for an employee named TRUDY who was working in the food court stocking condiments and cleaning the tables. She was very efficient and friendly to everyone. When I finished my frozen yogurt I left with a big smile on my face. Sure the yogurt was good, but better yet TRUDY was a delight. It was wonderful to witness a person who was happy doing her job and really good at what she was doing. Certainly an asset to Sams Club in Ocala. Florida. Thank you TRUDY. read more

Within 24 hours of this review, the manager at Sam's contacted me, apologized and told me if I would like to bring in my receipt, I would receive a refund for any of the items I was not happy with. I told her that I did not save my receipt and she still offered the refunds. The next day, I went in to Sam's and asked for her (I don't recall her name now). She was not available, but did tell customer service to provide my refund and give me a $25 gift certificate. I am happy they at least made an effort to make a regular customer happy. When I went back about a week later, I was not able to find any moldy or decaying fruits or vegetables, so perhaps they took my review to heart. :-) read more

I need to let someone know that the personnel working at this Sam's Club this evening had the most despicable customer service. First off, they stop us at the entrance to see our membership card. When my husband questions this because you can't purchase anything at the store without using a membership card first, he was told they were having problems with people coming in and then leaving whole buggies at the checkout lanes. Well, as a paying member of Sam's Club, I don't care. I shouldn't have to waste my time because the employees are put out by people that don't know what they are doing. Then we go to checkout, and get in line at one of the self checkouts behind a woman who is in the process of scanning her purchases. I wait until there is room on the belt, and place my items and wait my turn at the register. When I finally get up to start, there is no scan gun?!? How does that work? The convenience of using self checkout is that I don't have to take everything out of the cart, I can just scan it and move it. Anyways, the customer service employee that is in that area to help stops me as I get started stating she needs to count how many purchases I have. I don't understand this as I am not in a 10 items or less lane, but whatever. So, I finish and take my receipt and go to leave when she stops me telling me she needs to check my receipt. I question the reason behind this as there is another employee at the exit that is going to do the same thing. Now here I am, with two small children basically holding up the checkout lane because she has to check my items against my receipt. So I get it marked by her and go over to the exit, wait in line because I can't just get out the door. When I finally am able to just leave, I hold my receipt up to show him that it had already been marked and continued out of the door. Well he proceeded to follow my and 'watch' me like I was a criminal. I understand that this store seems to be having some issues with stealing or whatever is the reason behind ALL of the problems I encountered tonight, but I pay to have a plus membership with this club and do not appreciate being treated like a criminal. read more

My husband and I were at Sam's club in Ocala yesterday afternoon, about 2:30 pm. The store was busy. Bought a rotisserie chicken which looked great, very pink inside even the dog was leery. We got to the check out and I could not believe what a Cluster F... that is now turned into. We now have 2 customer reps at each register, they were taking out items and placing them on the counter (gee we put them in the cart, I think we could have gotten them out) one had a hand scanner she used on some items, when we got all done we had no idea what was what, and it took twice as long to check out. The employees seemed as confused as we were. Got home and then realized the dog treats we thought were on sale, we paid full price for, had we been looking at the price as it was rung up that could have been avoided. What a mess go back to one clerk per register. The check yourself out registers are not for older people, forget that nonsense. read more
