Both the prepared foods and the candy and novelty items felt quite expensive. The shop was fairly crowded during my visit on a Tuesday, which made it a bit difficult to move around and browse comfortably. It did start to feel a little overwhelming at times, though it is easy to see why it draws a crowd given the sheer variety and unique selection. My favorite was the Hammond coconut crème bar! i'd first seen the convenience store and gas station some months ago when it replaced the similar…read morestore and gas station called kum n go, and though the name of the new business evokes in me an intrigue as to any intended, although less pronounced, continuation of the kkk practice, especially in the united states south of replacing the letter c with the letter k in certain words. nonetheless, giving the store a benefit of doubt, i'd decided to look past any such association to a less serious linguistic connection, that between the name of the business and a certain nba team, the dallas mavericks. having not researched any significance of spelling between the business name and team name, i'd instead challenged myself to find any thunder associated product names to support by proxy the home state team, the oklahoma city thunder. and i obtained success in the endeavor by purchasing an energy drink of the brand name up time, evocative of the okc thunder team fan slogan &thunder up&. the low calorie, raspberry lemon flavored energy drink had a good, mildly sweet taste, and did not leave me with a caffeine headache, as i've experienced with other brands of energy drink. further, to celebrate the cinco de mayo holiday on that day, i'd also purchased a pack of sabritas mexican style mix peanuts, which reflect some positives of food production collaboration between the united states and mexico, such as bilingualism and the production of revolutionary flavor, like the flavor similar to the spicy flamin hot, introduced by mexican american inventor richard montanez. and further, the mildly spicy peanuts had a delicious taste. lastly, while the self-checkout monitors at the counter are the first such devices i've seen at a convenience store, the placement lends toward an awkward decision between requesting to be checked out by a cashier or completing self-checkout under direct supervision. and so, i'm of the belief these devices would be more practical apart from the counter, even if such a location requires hiring a self-checkout attendant or closing the monitors occasionally. and as a sort of p.s., i'd noticed some maverik brand jerky flavors, so am considering a return visit to purchase some to try.

service moms allowed me to accompany in bringing her car to…read morethe shop for an oil change, which she said came with a free vacuuming, and which also involved a filter replacement. i'm not particularly knowledgeable about the latter service, but her filter looked about a 3 out of 5 to me, so not unreasonable but if it were me deciding to change, i'd have been looking at that jawn, scratching chin, talm bout ehh lmao. nonetheless, so says the boy without a car. quality the car was looking and sounding in good condition, through the route home, including two stops not far out of the way. also, as i mentioned to the worker at the front desk, who really be living on the clock, the waiting room area at the car service shop is at the top among that category. other favorites, such as st. francis pediatrics and the harvard location of family & children services, are certainly up there with regard to the magazine and toy selection, respectively, but a popcorn stand, coffee machine, soda fridge, and water cooler really be so tough to match, especially when the coloring sheet kiddie table stands in the middle of the room. and not to drag out the section, though the customer service, from both the worker summarizing services and receiving payment at the front desk as well as the worker who showed us the car oil level on a dipstick, was excellent and definitely merits acknowledgement. value the value was respectable, though from what i understand momma to have suggested when i'd asked while in route home if someone with the shop had vacuumed the car, she really expected such a service for the $130 cost. however, considering the collective services of a oil change, which i recall from previous personal visits to the shop as receiving considerate attention to quality; the filter change, which i'd conjecture is integral to providing comfort for drivers and passengers alike that the visible and audible features of the car align with the functionality of its engine; and the food & beverage offerings, of which momma copped a root beer and your boy indulged in a bag of popcorn with solid proportions of butter and salt; are collectively well worth that price. oh and every wednesday is for the ladies at the jiffy lube, $7 off your oil change if i remember right, that be where us guys putting the money we save on shaving in november, so ladies please pullup.

i went to the tag agency a few weeks ago to request a new driver license after i'd lost the…read moreprevious license, which surprisingly still has not surfaced. i'd entered at around 2pm, and was told the next available appointment was at 4pm, if i've remembered correct, so i'd gone to lunch before the appointment, and returned about thirty minutes prior. luckily, the worker in the office at the back of the business, in charge of driver licenses, called me about 15 minutes before the tentative appointment time. she also gathered the information and took the picture efficiently, with a friendly demeanor. though i'd not asked her name, she was wearing a stylish black eskimo joe sweater with purple and teal print, and explained to me that the sweater is given to workers at the tag agency when i'd asked if she has been to the now closed eskimo joe offshoot italian restaurant, joeseppi. no pun intended with offshoot pun and osu stillwater mascot. then, while i'm not certain that the worker gave me an expected time of arrival for the driver license, she did notify me that the license would arrive via mail, rather than the expectation with which i'd entered the tag agency of receiving the license there on the same day. that said, the license arrived the most recent saturday, and while the arrival was a little later than i'd expected, the difference between expectation and result was rather harmless. service requested - new driver license, not yet expired quality - service and license quality were excellent value - $25 and tax was relatively reasonable, though prorated price depending on date of expiration for license not expired seems appropriate, though it may have been already
