When it comes to curbside pick up for your groceries, they are the WORST! I have sat well over an hour past my pick up time with NO acknowledgment from the employees. I get it, everyone is short staffed but a little communication goes a LONG way. read more

This Sam's club is okay but they seem to always be out of something maybe it's due to COVID but I only got a membership here because it was only $45 which is definitely cheaper than Costco (But Costco is better overall) but I also received $45 off my first shopping order so basically it was free. This location is technically closer to my home but I prefer going to the 83rd Ave & Union Hills location. Employees have been nice at both locations but 83rd is where I will be going for now on. So if you want access to a club where you can buy bulk items without all the craziness (massive crowds) at Costco then a membership at Sam's club is worthwhile. read more

Made a tire appointment on Saturday May 8th in person for Tuesday at 8:00AM. On Monday 5-10-21 had some thing come up and was not going to be able to make the 8:00AM on Tuesday. Tried to call to change and couldn't get anyone in the tire center to answer. Decided to take the car down there in person and see if they could install the tires same day. Tire center is empty like no customers, no cars in the center and two Associates on duty. Asked if I could get my tires installed and was told they are booked solid for the rest of the day! When I said "there is no one here he replied "well they could show up at any time and then you would be holding them up" Needless to say I left and went to Discount Tire Company where they sold and installed my tires the same day and time. I am most likely not going to renew my Sam's Club membership!! read more

This one has a pharmacy, eye care area, wireless kiosk, and hot dog food stand. However, back East, the Sam's Clubs have automated VRUs so you can order Rx refills over the phone. This one doesn't. Worst experience ever! Ordered a 70" TV Nov 10. Thought I'd have it well before Thanksgiving. Received an email id have it between 11/22 & 12/5. On 12/5 still did not receive. Called Sams Club and told I'd be contacted next day. On 12/7 I called MDX, the shipper. No idea and told to call Sams. Called Sams and again told I'd be contacted. A dock search was conducted and my TV found. Got a automated call and received a delivery for 12/18. Checked website and no delivery date given. Called Sams again. Received email yesterday giving me dates for delivery. Earliest date was 12/22!!! Of course no one wants to talk to me. How you stay in business for s a wonder! I have been a 10+year member of sams club. Today I have ended my membership eventhough the company I work for pays for the membership. $100 for a membership, are u serious? There are very limited locations in the large Phoenix area. I live in central Phoenix and have to drive 30 minutes each way to the closest one. The plus membership is only worth it if you spend over $10000 a year here. I don't plan on spending that much this year so I wanted to go back to a normal membership. They cannot do that a register. They can put it onto your membership in under a second at the register but cannot remove it. You have to wait in a customer service line that takes 30-hr every time. When u leave the store with a flatbed full of items you have to cross their gauntlet of bumpy pavers that I have never gotten through without items falling off the cart or getting damaged. I have been a business member for a long time; does it come with membership for your spouse? Idk, they never offered it to me. I will be spending my $100 membership on getting a different store to deliver my goods to me, saving me a ton of wasted time going to this place. Their quality of items has gone down over the years. The used to carry Kirkland signature items, not anymore. They carry a lot of popular nonhealthy brands. If u like organic or eating healthier food that isn't stuffed with chemicals and low quality ingredients then go somewhere else. read more

I called back and she tried to put me on hold again, told her I was already on hold for a long time and just had a quick question. She said she was with customer and I would have to hold. I told her I just had a quick question (yes or no answer), she put me on hold. AM I NOT A CUSTOMER TOO???? I'm still on hold as I write this. Okay, I've loved Sam's club before, but this just made it even sweeter! I came in today due to a dead car battery. Matt was nice enough to help me pull up my warranty, and found that the battery was covered (heck yeah $115 savings!!). While I waited, I went to the optical department where Marcia was happy to help me adjust my eyeglasses. She was such a doll! I was only in the optical department for about 5 minutes before she waived me goodbye. Just as I was going to find a nice place to sit and wait, Matt alerted me that my car was ready....in like 10 minutes! I'm wowed by this experience, and thank them all for their help. Made an online purchase for pickup of 5 cases of members mark water, cheese and rice. You can schedule the time of pick for your convenience, but when I arrived, they did not have my order ready. They also told me they didn't have my water because the limit is only 2 at the moment over the coronavirus freak out. They apparently then also informed me that they had no members mark water available for my order anyway. While I'm with customer service for pick up, my significant other was sitting, when a large heavy duty sign fell on him!!! The sign scratched his back and hit his head. By this time, I already had a manager assisting me with my order and he saw the whole ordeal. The sign was being poorly held up by packing tape!! He was only asked if he wanted to file an incident report after I took pictures of the sign. In the end, we were there for over an hour just for an online pick up order that went horribly wrong. I was informed that when an item is out of stock they were supposed to call and inform me, but they never did. While waiting and filing out paperwork, I bought us a pizza slice combo and a root beer float. The manager said he was going to comp us for the meal, which was a little over $3, which was nice, but he never did in the end. I'm not upset over a $3 meal but how upsetting that he makes the offer and doesn't come through after that ordeal. What a first time online pick up order that was... Safety is not their priority and you should probably be aware of where your standing, or sitting, at this location. -dissatisfied read more

Ordered curbside pickup and waited for 25 minutes for order which never came. Tried calling to ask about order but nobody answered. Terrible service. I canceled the order. I could have walked into the store, picked up the 2 items I ordered plus groceries for a week in the time it took them to deliver my order to my car, I'd they ever showed up. Do yourself a favor and dont order curbside delivery from this store unless you plan on watching a tv show in its entirety from your car while waiting. read more

Was overcharged and told it was my fault. I shop Sams club monthly for business. There was an offer for some products to save, so I took the opportunity to do so. I purchase a lot and need to play Tetris with my items, I'm sure you understand. It is typical for the cashier to go from my cart-scan- then place items in another cart. Today was the same. Only difference was Stephanie, a very opinionated employee/cashier who was A. not friendly, B. Not quite honest, C. Tried to pass the buck Stephanie did not do well with placing items back in my cart. I had to rearrange after her before I left so things didn't fall. She overcharged me on a sale item and told me it's my fault and that I am not reading the ad right. when I showed her the ad she said she's not going to correct it, I'll need to go to customer service which had 10 people in line. Instead of spending more time venting and going through the rest of this ridiculous event. My hope is Sams will reach out to me on this and I can delete this negative review and turn it into a positive review by Sams taking care of this issue in the best way they feel is for customer satisfaction. Disorganized, bad service, and Terrible Lines. I didn't even get into the store! That's how bad it was. There was a shaded area before the entrance was very spacious but security suggested, to bring the line all the into the sun. Inline an employee Said," We need to stay 6 feet apart" when there were NO Markers. My mom said that there are no markers but then the employee said," Well, you should know because you watched the news". That's Horrible he just assumed we automatically watched the news and we knew 6 feet from just looking. Another thing is that Most people spoke Spanish and he didn't even bother translating! Lied to by Management about after Christmas Monday hours were told no early opening. Opens at 10am. We call 3 differant time to be sure. We drive by going to Target see vendors rolling out all the Christmas stuff on flatbed after flat bed at 8 am. We get back there at 930 and it's empty. We ask what time opened. 7am and we're told vendors came in bought everything out in the 1st hour. 50 to 90% off. So we canceled our Sam's Membership for the constant poor service and that fact that they always lie and the Pharmacy is always horrid to deal with. GO TO COSTCO LIKE WE DID. SAME DAY. Went to Sam's today instead of Costco and confirmed again why Costco is so much better. 1) Employees - employees are not trained to respond to customers quickly like Costco. Sams employees take their own sweet time to respond, very slow. They even chat with other employees and make customers wait which will never happen in Costco. Costco employees always have a smiling face, lot of energy to serve you as fast as you can, of course they are trained so. I even cancelled my sams plus today and the employee didn't even bother asking why. When I asked Costco about upgrade to executive membership, they pulled up all my year worth of transactions to brief me of the benefits. Sams if you want to compete, train your employees 2) products - lack of basic products like organic whole milk, small pack of organic eggs and so on. I can't find the products I need I wanted to switch to Sams for a change but guess I have no choice but stick with Costco read more

Unlike most people, I go to Sam's Club for 2/3 things at a time. Today I went in, grabbed my two items and headed to the checkout stands. Some old lady held up the entire line because she wanted to write a check. For god sakes, it's 2016..stop accepting checks and slowing everything down. There's a new Sam's Club in town and it's right by Turf Paradise. I was there during their grand opening weekend and it was a little frightening. There were more sample people than I've ever seen before and tons of tons of people trying to get to them. The club itself was okay. I mean, if you've seen one, you've seen them all I think. This one did have a sample lady giving out really delicious strawberries but every two minutes she would yell like this, STRAWBERRRRRRRRRIES It was horrible. And it was like some kind of subliminal trick because no matter what part of Sam's I was in, I'd hear some poor customer walking by and saying 'strawberrrrries' under their breath without even knowing they were doing it. It was funny. Also, a friendly old man stopped me and was just chatting away when my eyes drifted to his cart. He was buying a HUGE, economy pack of KY Jelly. DAMMIT. If I coould I give Sam's a negative 3 but I have to give at least a 1. If you do not agree to p[lace their app on your phone you are not eligible for specific sale. As for myself I purchased my phone for my benefit, not to be forced to have Sma's club on the cell. If they have a spam they will be responsible and so you are on your own. I feel why should be paying for their equipment. For those who like Scan and Go that is you option, but as for myself I refuse to have someone hold me hostage to get reduced prices because they can't use my equipment. If I do as they say I receive lower prices on specific items. In my opinion this is a sign of favoritism. A few years ago Sam's were going out of their way to get customers, but now they have grown they are trying to control customers. There are still other places to shop and I for one refuse to be held to a favoritism system governed by Billionaires. This is method of riding employees as well. When I approached the manager on this method he told that my opinion and disclosed it wasn't an opinion it was fact and I hold to the same train of thought. Skip the food court if you know what's good for your health. Employees do not know how to properly wash their hands, prepare food, etc. Routinely, they grab gloves with dirty hands, contaminate them putting them on and handle food and food wrappers directly. When called on their behavior and asked if they know they cross contaminated the food and do they know what that even means they said yes.When told they had to wash their hands and forearms before putting on gloves (which would go on easier without sweaty hands) their response was "EVERY TIME??!!" as if in total amazement that such a thing were required (even though there is a sign, required by State health code, hung directly over the hand-washing-only sink... perhaps Sam's should send them back through Food Handlers training. Not the first time I've seen this or challenged the food servers (same thing for Costco and many other establishments). read more

First time visiting- Bell road and 15th ave. Never have I seen such disorganization in my life from a big box store! Not sure why you would have tools where the candy is? You couldn't find something if you wanted to because you just wouldn't believe where they put it! It was also a mess. I'm sure that if one stack of a big bag of rice was moved, the whole pile would come crashing down on a unsuspecting shopper. (I kinda wanted to keep my phone rolling just in case I... but naahhh). One star for having eyeglass frames with the magnetic clip on sunglasses. Went for an eye exam and new glasses, first time I needed multi script, ended up with progressive lenses. When I went to pick them up, before I left the store , I commented on the distance portion of the lenses. I saw no difference, they felt like bifocals rather than trifocals. I was told it will take time to get used to them. I went back after a couple of months they said it sometimes takes a little bit longer. Okay that's fine, I understand. I go back then they tell me too much time had passed there was nothing they could do about it . I asked the gal so you're telling me I'm SOL? she said yeah... pretty much I'm so sorry. $500 later I'm not so happy. Never again. My lenses SUCK!!! read more

Don't buy tires at Sam's Club. I bought a set of four tires, prepaid to have them delivered to this location, and the customer service and communication was not good at all. Imhad to call back three times on the day they were promised in and had to tell the Sam's Club person what size they were for him to look for,them. Fortunately, I knew what size I ordered, but expected him to ask for my name or member number to look up the order. When they installed them they broke and cracked two of my center hub covers because they didnt know how to fit the one tab into the slot on the wheel hub. Somthey hit itmwith anhammer until it broke. I am not a mechanic but I figured that out years ago. These folks are not good and not very bright. Buy your tires elsewhere where they have real professionals. read more

We have had great service at Sam's even during the pandemic. Yes, they are sometimes out of things but the same thing is happening at all stores. The order online and pick up service is very efficient, friendly and helpful. I really appreciate that they are offering this kind of service to their customers. Costco does not!
