I visited this location while visiting Sarasota. We needed some items and Sams was the most economical place to make this purchase. I was amazed when we walked in the door and tye main aisle was clear. No foot traffic. No saying pardon me or working your cart around other people. The whole warehouse was like this honestly. I didn't encounter anyone in my path which was a good thing because I was on a mission to get in and get out. I was able to scoop up the usual paper towels, water, paper plates, toilet tissue etc without any hiccups. I was even able to purchase some reasonably priced salmon. Today was a good day. read more

Took my car there to get 2 flat tires fixed. All kinds of issues. After a week, still wasn't done. Then I was told I have to take the change the tires myself. They wouldn't fix it otherwise. I did. I asked the guy why, and was told that Tracy up front wouldn't let him. When I confronted Tracy, she argued with me then walked away without a solution. Once she left, the mechanic was able to finish the job. I told Tracy, "What if that was someone disabled? What would you have done then." She said she wouldn't help them. There's more to the story and it's not good either. Tracy is worthless, rude and selfish. For the record, I never complain or post negative reviews. This is my first. read more

Having yet to unsub from their newsletter, it's another sale week and this one's for the New Year. I started my day with coffee on a dock and now I'm looking at TurboTax cards and being accosted by big smiles on young people wanting to explain something to me. I guess it's because there are four options I heard them say, echoing in the distance. Four options of freakin TurboTax? So, the more expensive one - it's for the wanna be wealthy and then there's others for every other sucker who realizes we're all on SlaveLandia. That's more options than these tortilla chips I'm about to duck behind to get away and get on with my Doomers purchases. Side note: a dear friend once told me that "your like a madman that wants to turn the world over to the insects" and for this I am eternally greatful, its perhaps the greatest single compliment I've ever received although likely not intended as such. But yes, it's true, I'm rooting for planet Earth. There were ten thousand different protein bars, a staple for my Sam's purchases but I really felt defeated by all the choices, perhaps it was all the Doomisphere scrolling I was doing in the parking lot. You know, the "eighth great extinction" stuff, I'm still so confused as to why people are so happy - it's so strange to me - so I bought more bricks of batteries in the smaller sizes which isn't much of a great Earth lover move but solar GeoEngineering freaks me out a bit, so my solar system sits perfectly where I can stare at it for hours contemplating it's place in my world. I like Sharpie gel pens, the variety pack to label all of my boxes of supplies, to highlight all of my midnight mad written scribbles in the notebooks I plow through but there are no notebooks here for me and I don't think that there are currently any books to read and that saddens me some more. Pups love canned salmon so it's really nice to have some varieties of the cans with the single finger pull off lid system. And I believe in giving my loves good quality water, so I bought the Fiji which I believe they prefer. Personally, I love it and I just can't get myself to give pups Florida tap water or any tap water for that matter without some serious filtering. They had those too, but in bulk too, the filters I mean. I thought to myself "How many does one need"? but I was too lazy to read the three sentences that would have explained it all because I'm feeling forlorn. Air fresheners freak me out, I don't even like the scented flavors (potpourri? gross) the look and application, all of it just turns me off, so I bought an old school classic Lysol. ZERO STARS - Another low in retailing consumer abuse.. Went to Sam's Club in Sarasota today to use a Sam's Club gift card. Even though it says right on the back of the card that it is good at any Sam's Club, the local store refused to accept it. Nowhere does Sam's Club disclose the card labeled "Sam's Club G-I-F-T card" may only be Sam's Club Members. Surprise Surprise.. The purported "store manager" Cela - who refused her full name - stated (in direct violation of the back of the card) it was their store policy that gift card users had to be active Sam's Club members. It is surely no wonder why Sam's Club is failing and why the Sarasota store was nearly EMPTY of customers. I wonder if the Walton's agree with "Cela's policies and whatever other unknown surprise store policies she may have to abuse customers. The arrogant unjustified and unwarranted anonymity of retail employees who readily and willfully abuse the public with complete impunity has to stop. Until a likely soon-to-come class action resolves this matter at great expense to Sam's Club, I would urge everyone to avoid purchasing Sam's Club Gift cards and the Sarasota Sam's club store. read more

Auto department unwilling to work us on bad battery- brought it in twice- two days in a row-the second time after reputable repair shop tested battery as bad- was bought at Sam's in Sarasota a year ago- manager claims the battery is fine- no explanation why it failed two days in a row and refused to honor warranty! We like the Sam's in Annapolis a bit better than the Sam's in Severn. Their prices have definitely risen just like everywhere else. i think the membership pays for itself. Overall it's a decent wholesale membership club. I often think Costco may be better but we've never changed. Gas prices can often be better, but not always. We use the Royal Farm's loyalty membership for $.10 off per gallon and it's sometimes less expensive there. Membership at Sam's is often good for high ticket items. read more

A lady made me go all the way from the exit to customers service because the 2 Gatorades I bought, were 2 different flavors!!! They were the same product, sizes, count and PRICE . NEVER had a issue until now. 1:40-1:48pm 4/23/23 and the guy at customer service, kept saying "the Gatorade you didn't buy." Ok so why do I have 2 scanned Gatorade on my records on Scan And Go!! Review is for Tire Center Prices are great for tires BUT they will not take the time to educate you on tires needed for your vehicle. There is no direct manager over seeing the technicians . They have a system to ensure the tires are tighten to the vehicles specifications BUT there is always room for human error. They didn't tighten my lug nuts on one tire and they were stripped . This could have ended in a very fatal way . I believe more management and quality assurance overhaul is needed. read more

For the price and ease of access the outstanding taste of the Sam's Hotdogs at the Cafe, just can't be beat!! The buns and the all beef hotdogs are a perfect combination. The price is perfect for a quick lunch. Due to COVID-19, they no longer serve fountain drinks and lately, they are always out of ketchup, mustard, onions and relish! Bring your own packets as these hotdogs are too good to ignore. Another prominent big box store that has a much larger Cafe and selection, doesn't hold a candle to this reviewer's hotdog taste test comparison. ... but they do have ketchup, mustard, onions and relish. Be reassured, even a plain hotdog at Sam's is far more flavorful than that other Chain big box wholesale club store. This location is likely no worse or better than their other locations but they get one star for selling overpriced laptops with inferior specs, calling the values "shocking," which isn't false it's just not what a novice computer buyer thought you meant by shocking, shockingly bad! Idiots for selling laptops with a sweet 512GB PCIe SSD, then sticking a measly 8th Gen Intel Core i5 processor in there and worse, only 8GB DDR4 RAM. I LOVE Sam's. They have awesome deals and the employees are usually very helpful. Went today to find the offbrand pelican hard cases. What an awesome deal! They have different sizes and are about a fifth of the pelican brand price. Same great quality! Curtis was super helpful and walked me over to the item, after I looked for it myself for about 15 minutes. Walking around the store and trying to find the cases, I saw some other amazing deals, like usual. You have to be a member and pay ayearly fee, but it is well worth it! read more

Don't get your prescription eyeglasses from Sam's club! Poor quality and they don't honor their warranty! One of the lens is cracked within the warranty period oh and they wanted to charge me to replace both lenses because they don't deal with that manufacture anymore! I like the frame so I took them to someone else and was told they cracked because the lens was too big for the frame and I should take them back to Sam's Club for replacement! read more

This is a solid Sam's location. I have been here many times and the quality is always consistent. I recently purchased over $300 worth of seafood for Christmas Eve dinner including shrimp, diver scallops, oysters, and crab legs and it was all excellent. They have a great selection of seafood for the holidays and their bakery section is always consistent. They make certain cakes and cookies on site and others are prepackaged brands. This location also carries a few varieties of Cheesecake Factory cakes. The staff here is also helpful if you need to return an item. I go a little out of my way to come to this location. read more

You probably don't need 5 boxes of pens or a couple gallons of pickles, but the stuff you do find you use, it's a good deal. service - every time i've needed something, or have a Q someone has been around and been helpful. Never had to hunt for someone. The pre-made rotisserie chicken is a steal. Just like from the super market but bigger. I go there just for these. Random items for sale that are deals. They are the type of place that will get a deal on something and then just sell them off. I've done some price comparisons on items, vacuum, electronics and other stuff and they beat most competitors. Got deal on mini fridge, a TV, desk chair..... Even clothes, I saw Rock & Republic jeans there once for about $30. Not my style, but i know they cost several hundred and up in their stores. Just an example. read more

Since Sam's club controls what reviews they post on their website and doesn't have google reviews, their customer service is absolutely horrible. I ordered 50 holiday gift towers for my company gifts that were customized with my company's name and no one would ever assist me in getting my information for the customized ribbon. They kept giving me the run around for 5 days after I purchased $1,300 of these gifts. Good thing we have Costco here that I've never stepped foot in as a loyal Sam's Club customer. Of the past few times buying at Sam's Club on Cattlemen's Road, the "instant savings" never appeared on the receipt. The third time, 2/27/2019, I took photos of the savings before checkout. I asked the cashier why this happens so often. The cashier passed me to her manager, Jazmine. I asked Jazmine whether or not this may be an electronic glitch and that maybe this information could be appropriately passed on to someone who might know how to remedy these occurrences. Jazmine became very defensive at this point and told me that said items marked for instant savings was past the expiration. I showed her my photo which showed it expires 3/24/2019. This was the same case for the other instant savings item as evidenced with my other photo. Personally, I would rather have absorbed the savings than to be humiliated by this "manager." Most other persons I have encountered at this store have been with good to great attitudes. Ordered 3 gifts baskets they advertised for Christmas on DECEMBER 8th. when I placed my orders they said delivery date was the following Friday.. which I thought was perfect! just tracked the delivery.. now recipients aren't getting their XMAS PRESENTS TIL AFTER CHRISTMAS! Sam's club on Cattleman is run very well with one exception; the Customer Service area is not set up well for On-Line order pickups. There are 2 directions of cashier's that run perpendicular. There is one line that faces one set of cashier's and goes out towards the door. This is the line for everyone. You have people cutting in front of this line and going to the other set of cashier's. It's a big problem. There should be one set of cashier's strictly for on line orders, and another set of cashier's for all other issues. This would be the Best Solution. Since we use the App to check in, we should not have to wait on a big line for our order. I would appreciate this recommendation being looked into. Thank you! read more

It is what it is, a wholesale club with somewhat limited customer service, no bags, etc., but pricing is generally good and the folks who are working the floor have always been very helpful to me, as have the customer service desk people. The only real gripe I have is that I got a flyer in the mail featuring a "special sale" on one of the beverages I buy there regularly: $3 off, but didn't state the price... I guess that should have been a red flag, huh? Anyway, I fell for it, took the rather long drive to the club only to find this product that I buy weekly had been marked up $3. So it ended up being the same price I always paid AND was limited to three packages AND was actually on sale at Publix that week for less than Sam's now-inflated "sale" price. Not very responsive to specific Customer requests. I've repeatedly requested that the old (good!) cottage cheese be returned (they have a new formula which is horrid), and that they add Fiber One Protein Bars (the caramel ones) to their product list.
