I got flat tire, so I went to Sam's to check my tire. They fixed for free and checked the battery too

The store associates sanitize the carts immediately when they are returned. There are also wipes located near the entrance and hand sanitizer. I liked that they control how many people enter the store. It allows for social distancing and makes you feel more comfortable shopping and looking at items before deciding whether to purchase or not. My friend had to speak with the manager about a previous purchase and the manager was very nice and accommodating.

Fast forward to me moving to Hershey for grad school from my delicate life surrounded by Trader Joe's, Sprouts, etc in the bosom of Orange County, CA and I was shocked, saddened, and defeated. This wonderful area that I now called home had two Trader Joe's "in my area", one being in Towson, MD and the other being in Philadelphia. Luckily, as I traveled back home to California during holidays, I'd be lucky enough to fly into and out of one of those airports so I'd make it a ritual to stop by TJs on my way home as long as I flew in before they closed. Still though, going to TJs once every few months isn't ideal. So imagine my delight when I'm driving to my clinical rotation site at State College, and what do I see - Trader mutha$#*in' JOE'S. I'm only up here for 5 weeks total, but I've gone here every single day so far. I've probably spent about $500 in the last four weeks. I love this place. It's exactly how Trader Joe's should be: bright, inviting, clean, and with an excellent selection of food and goods. Hell, even the staff is as jovial as the ones back home, which is proof that they have incredible system-wide hiring practices. If you're in the area, go to Trader Joe's. Just bask in the glory of the wonderful stuff that they have. Pro tip: if you're going to do one thing to elevate your charcuterie game, make it the herb-crusted Chèvre goat cheese and grab a jar or the hot and sweet pepper jelly. Crackers are your choice. But do yourself this favor. Cheers!

Being able to pick up my (large) bakery order and not leaving someone disappointed at home makes me happy. Had my list of must haves. I meandered through all the departments. Wasn't on a time schedule. I spent 2 hours in the store. Found beautiful baby lamb chops. Filets were $6/lb cheaper than my grocery store. Bought beautiful endive. Had to bring home the red wine peppered salami. Coming home, opening the cooler, and handing out foodie presents is like Christmas morning. The oohs and aahs were heard at multiple houses. The staff were very helpful finding my treasures. Wegmans trips make traveling for business worth it.

I found it to be quite a good store, with everything you could want: my weird health-food desires like coconut flour and buckwheat groats (that I usually have to visit specialty stores for); pharmacy supplies; lots of pre-made food; diverse international offerings; plenty of organic and pre-cut produce; flowers, etc. Despite it being my first time, I was able to navigate it without too much difficulty. When they were out of green onions, a friendly worker was able to refill the bin quickly for me (and direct me to the spacious, clean bathrooms). They have tons of checkout lines, only a couple were open with humans; and they have lots of self-checkout too. I mean, it's just a grocery store, but it's a pretty good one!

They have new limited hours 10-2 Tuesday-Thursday, which is all fine and dandy until you show up at 10am that first Wednesday and the place is so crowded it's almost hard to look at the bikes. I was pretty upset that they could not operate at normal hours so crowds would be more dispersed, or that they had better crowd management and social distancing implemented. For being part of the university, I was extremely disappointed and frustrated just by their handling of COVID that day. I hope it isn't that bad now that all freaks have gone in for the stuff they couldn't get for 6 months. (Keep in mind they do only allow 10 people in the actual building at once, so these 30+ people were outside, way too close to each other and blocking major paths for other shoppers. I only looked at the bikes, of which they had a lot, because they were outside and that's what I needed. ALL of the female adult city bikes were in bad shape. Rusted chains and gears, brakes either way too loose or not connected right, need it replacement tubes and/or tires, and i thought the prices they were asking for them were ambitiously high for needing so many repairs. Some were good quality and appropriately priced but as those things work, none of them were my size or style so I walked away without a bike. Overall a very bad experience for my first time at LS. I expect to go back maybe when they expand their hours and the virus isn't as prevalent, but for now I'm even more upset with the university than before. Oh well.

Great place for hard-to-find furniture and other office items…read more Avoid this place like the plague if you're shopping for older computers and computer accessories, as they have no clue what that junk is worth. However, if you're up for a DIY project and need some sturdy furniture and random items in which to start, you can't beat this place in town. Great location to get old chairs, tables, desks, file cabinets, and other random goodies. If you don't mind a little work on your part, you can restore some of these classics to good, working condition. In the Spring of 2014 I picked up two vintage, black office chairs with wheels. Solid steel frames with steel casters. The underside was dry-rotted away, but the fabric and spring webbing was still in good condition. Probably dates from early 70s or late 60s, I gave those chairs a deep steam cleaning, removed the underside, and polished the chromed steel to a shine. I also picked up a square table with a nice poly-sealed wooden top and a thick, sturdy steel leg in the middle, that branched out to steel cross-legs at the bottom. It looked custom built, not something you'd find from a wholesaler. I bet Penn State's OPP built them, and when they build stuff, it lasts for decades. Wonderfully overbuilt. A deep scrubbing and some polishing was all that was needed for the table.
