We had gone for a driving skills test for my wife. It also included a 1 hour warm up in our car before the test. Sam did not even inform my wife before starting the test. He just evaluated her based on the warm up and failed her based on some mistakes that she had done during that time. In the end when the warm up was done, we came to know that the test was also already over. Both me and my wife were shocked since Sam never informed my wife before starting the test. Overall we had paid $320 for the 1 hour warm up and test. It was just an utter waste of such a large amount of money. During the warm up, he had also called me and asked me if I wanted to take any additional driving lessons for my wife with him. He said that there were some gaps in her driving and that it would take additional lessons to fix those. And for that I would have to again pay him $160 more for a 1 hour lesson. I had already paid him $320 before for the warm up and test. So we refused for any additional lessons. Such a sham!! I feel that if we had agreed to pay the extra money and take the extra lessons then he would have informed my wife before starting the test and also passed her. But because we didn't he had already made up his mind from beforehand that he would fail her and hence did not even inform her before starting the test and just failed her based on some random mistakes during the warm up. Also my wife told me that before the warm up, he had intentionally disconnected our car's dashcam. Now that we think about it, the reason why he had done that is so that his voice does not get recorded in it. So that later we cannot file a complaint against him with proof. He is a corrupt instructor and his driving school should be immediately shut down. read more

Came here for my road test. I booked for a warmup session along with the actual road test. When I arrived, I was swiftly greeted by my instructor/proctor, given a few forms to fill out, and went onto the road. My instructor (CYH) was very good. During the warmup session, he gave me very insightful tips and advice. He pointed out my weaknesses and helped me correct bad habits. We practiced many elements multiple times that would be in the actual test, such as parallel parking, reversing, etc. During the actual road test, I was a little bit nervous but the instructor/proctor put me to ease very quickly. He conducted the test with integrity and professionalism. Although I am a seasoned driver from Canada, I understand that there are subtle traffic law differences here in Washington so I truly believe the warmup session helped me pass. Overall, I'm really glad I chose this driving school. I did so because of the overwhelmingly positive google reviews. I did not want to support poorly reviewed and unscrupulous businesses (sadly there's only a couple of schools near downtown Seattle) that take advantage of vulnerable immigrants. This school, in my opinion, is worth traveling to even if you live in far away. At least you are sure that they are aboveboard and you well receive quality instruction. read more

I'm an experienced driver in my home country, so I just took the road test (with one hour practice before test) to get the US license. My experience with this driving school was excellent. The instructor was great and explained traffic rules in great detail during practice, especially he clarified many small rule differences from my home country, which is really helpful. Test went smooth, and instructor pointed out places need improvement after the test. I'd say you'll definitely become a better driver by learning & taking test here. read more

I would NOT recommend anyone to come here. For the Knowledge test , they took $40 for the first test (in cash, no receipt) and said for every retest they would charge $35. Whereas in 911 driving school, you pay $25 and you get to have 3 attempts in a day with the same money. They are not doing the right thing and should be reported very seriously. read more

Sam is truly a great instructor, he taught me how to drive 4 years ago and I really believe he was patient and thoughtful person. However, I took my friends here for 10 hours driving class, they charged 1600 dollars for 10 hours sessions including a 50 mins warm up and road test. Kind of disappointed and speechless. read more

I have driving experience in China for 30 years, and drove in the US for 2 month, but the rules in the US is much different than China. I took two hours of warm up session from Sam, he is very experienced instructor, he taught me all the rules that I should follow while driving in the US, he also taught me tricks to do parallel parking and back around corner. I took warm up session at other driving school, they didn't teach me anything. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends. read more

Don't be fooled by the photos on their website of happy customers. I was fooled by it which was why I decided to go take my driving test there. I've been driving for 10 years in California and I failed! The test administrator randomly points out your mistakes so that you wouldn't pass without taking his warmup session which is an additional charge. After consulting with DOL, the mistakes that he deducted points for weren't penalties! DOL advised that I could write in to lodge a report against Sam's Driving School. read more

Sam is a perfect instructor. He does not charge you more by recommending more classes as he himself is very busy. He is strict and sometimes and rude but in a good way.
