I went to Urbane Cafe on a Friday afternoon for lunch, and ordered on the kiosk (no wait). They had two kiosks available, and it also looked like a cashier was taking orders too. In addition to this, there's always the option to order online. My friend and I opted to eat in and were both so impressed that both our food was ready in less than ten minutes. I ordered the chimichurri steak sandwich with a side salad and devoured the salad and half the sandwich within minutes. The focaccia bread was so soft, the chimichurri was flavorful and the steak was tender. The salad was refreshing and delightful. I went up to the takeout area and asked for two boxes and the employee was prompt and polite. Overall this was a fantastic experience and I'm looking forward to going back. read more

Outstanding customer service at the Urbane Cafe in Valencia (Copper Hill & Newhall Ranch Road). We received a Power Veggie Salad that was supposed to have tofu but had roast beef instead. I went back to exchange it, and the staff member and manager immediately took ownership and handled it with professionalism and care. They refunded the credit card, prepared a fresh salad exactly as ordered, provided a vegan-friendly sandwich, a fruit cup, and even offered me a drink. They truly went above and beyond. I know the food is fresh and has the potential to be consistent. The menu is great and specials are creative. That deserves 5 stars. The problem is we definietly have a greater chance of something going wrong because of the frequency of our visits. We have been eating at an Urbane since 2010 (starting with the Stevenson Ranch location). We also each at other locations throughout Southern California while traveling as we know how good their food it. With that said, our most recent visit was still a three star experience. The last time they offered the Really Good Fish Sandwich I went on and on with how tasty it was. This time the sandwich was thrown together and was very dry as it had no tartar sauce. The salad we ordered had a couple of additions and was almost correct. We paid for an extra chipotle ranch and while we received an extra dressing it was not the correct one. I watch the employees and it simply appears that they work in such a manner to see how quickly they can get the order done which may be why there are mistakes from time to time. read more

This was my first time visiting this Urban Cafe location. This store is very clean and well organized. There is both indoor and outdoor seating area. It is located in a busy shopping center, but it's easy to find a parking spot. For food, I can say Urbane Cafe is one of my favorite places. I love their salads, sandwiches and soups. This time I ordered tomato soup. It was surprisingly good and tasted great. My salad was really good. For service, I would appreciate, if they would call the names for online orders instead of just leaving them there. This would help people know their orders are ready. Gina at Urbane Café on Copper Hill is truly the sweetest. Like... genuinely so kind that even as I was walking out, someone stopped me and said, "Wasn't she just the nicest?" And yes--yes, she was. I've been an urbane-r since I was young and the one on old road opened -- the staff is sweet at both but the staff at this one feel so much warmer!! From the second I walked in, her energy was warm and welcoming. ALL of the staff tonight was so sweet!! I have a sesame allergy, and I overheard her double-checking with the back to make sure everything was good. She didn't miss a beat--super attentive, super thoughtful. I was one of the last customers of the night, and they were out of the cookie I originally wanted. But instead of just saying "sorry," Gina handed me three other ones they were about to toss. There are no words to properly express how much I enjoyed the food the service and the drinks at this tacility. The Cashier was very nice. The menu was easy to read and I'm dyslexic. We sat down at a nice clean comfortable table. There was a very nice spacing in between the tables so you didn't feel the hot breath of the person behind you. The sandwich I consumed was the turkey sub everything on it was immaculate. The flavours bursting in my mouth giving me different experiences of where each ingredient originated from. The food here was so good. Salmon bowl was delicious! Bread was the BEST! My friends really enjoyed the gluten free bread and that was awesome because it's hard to find good gluten free bread so I was happy for them. Once she'd eaten about half of it my friend found a hair in her salad (definitely not one of ours) which was gross...but accidents happen and they did refund her for the salad. Came back again to try out something different from their extensive menu. I tried the High Protein bowl, and I must say that that bowl is a game changer. I just want to bottle up that chimichurri crema and take it with me. And I added the extra protein for $2, what a deal. I also took my toddler and she ate up the pizza. I have been to three different urbane cafe locations, this is by far the worst. I have pre ordered my lunch on my app. The place was like a zoo. I get it it's Sunday and they are busy. I ordered the pesto & sun-dried tomato sandwich and the Arnold Palmer. The guy gave me a wrong drink. Just the plain lemonade. Then the sandwich was mediocre, it tasted meh. Urbane Cafe is always a great option if you are looking for a delicious sandwich, salad, bowl, soup, or even cookies. My favorite sandwiches are the Santa Maria BBQ, Cranberry Brie, Club, and BBQ Tri Tip. Each sandwich is packed with delicious flavors, and is filling without making you feel tired after you eat. My wife really likes the Mediterranean Bowl. We both love the cranberry white chocolate cookie, they are very addicting! Recently I tried the Tri Tip Pastrami sandwich, and it was really good! The flavors all mix extremely well, and the Tri Tip Pastrami is very tender! I will definitely be getting this sandwich again, as long as it's on the menu! The new location on Newhall Ranch Road is really nice. It's well lit, and setup perfectly so it doesn't seem crowded at all. I also love that at the new location, they have a kiosk that you can use to place your order on your own. Service was quick in taking my order & it took awhile in receiving my order. I had to ask for my table to be wiped down & noticed other tables needed busting as well. I ordered the ahi bowl with lettuce instead of rice, and found a large beetle bug whilst eating it. The staff didn't seem surprised and acted as though this was something they had encountered before. The man in the kitchen with the long brown braid (no hair net) arrogantly said I "got some extra protein" when I pointed out the bug. I am a huge fan of Urbane Cafe and always used to drive 20 minutes to the Stevenson Ranch location. I recently came back to Santa Clarita to visit my family and learned this new location opened which is a much shorter drive away. We came to order lunch for takeout on a Wednesday at noon and naturally the place was pretty busy. They have a cool option of ordering at the front with a worker versus ordering on two computer screens which helps speed up the process and cut down on wait times. One of the screens was down but a worker was super nice and offered to take our order in person. Service was super friendly! The restaurant itself is so clean, spacious, bright, and has a very relaxed ambiance. I ordered my usual cilantro chicken salad with chipotle ranch dressing and got my order to go in less than 10 minutes. The salad was as good as ever-- the lettuce was fresh and crisp, the chicken was so tender and juicy with a perfect cilantro marinade, the bean and corn salsa added the right hearty balance to make the salad filling but not too heavy, they added generous amounts of mozzarella cheese which was so creamy and delicious! The chipotle ranch dressing added a spicy lucky. You truly cannot get a better salad than this. The portion was generous and left me full for a few hours. It also comes with a side of their delicious focaccia which is so fluffy, soft, and has some sea salt sprinkled on top for extra flavor. I will say their focaccia is one of my favorites because I think it strikes the perfect balance of having olive oil where the flavor is subtle and present but the bread itself is not at all oily. They have mastered the art of the focaccia. Overall, I love this place and I'm excited they opened a location closer to my parents' home. I highly recommend for a healthy and quick lunch around Valencia. read more

Been here a few times during off hours between lunch and dinner with a pretty empty restaurant, and it takes 20 minutes to get a sandwich. Service is terrible here, employees standing around talking and leaving food in the pass to just sit around with no consideration to get the food out to customers. When asked if the order is coming, the lead employee had no sense of awareness acting like she was being bothered that I asked about my order.
