I am very happy to write a review for Sam's Movers. My family has made 3 moves within a year. My parents moved from Pembroke Pines to Sarasota. My sister moved from Sarasota to Palm Harbor, and my husband and I moved from Bradenton to Parrish. We wouldn't have used Sam's Movers more than once, if we thought they hadn't done a great job the first, and then a second, time. Sam was an ease to work with and pleasant. He even recognized my number when I called and welcomed me with a "Hi Sandra!" after he and I coordinated all 3 moves together. All of the men he has working for him are solid, friendly, hardworking, and attentive. We even saw some of our favorite movers again and again since we got to request them--Shawn "Hancock", Tyler, and Lee. During our last move, Larry was the one who stacked the items onto the truck and did an amazing job at it. They don't waste time since they are on the clock. They have been punctual and call when they are on their way. They are also honest about the time and cost. At the end of the move, the "leader" for the move calls in the credit card we used so paying was an ease. Also, the price was definitely the best around! I had made several calls to moving companies and no one could beat Sam's prices. He provided the pads, plastic wrap, dollies, wardrobe boxes, and had the tools to assemble and disassemble our furniture with ease. There was no damage to our items and they placed them in the rooms we had assigned on the boxes. All in all, Sam's is the best. I have never written a review on yelp but felt it was well deserved this time. I used Sam's movers twice. The first time, I called on a Saturday and Sam answered the call personally. I called just to get rates and Sam said he could even move me that next day. WOW! The crew was friendly and courteous and it made me want to book with them again, in my two part move. Sam stuck to his word on dates and times and assured me that they could work around my crazy schedule. Now, here is where I must tell you. We had Larry, Trey and Josh on the second move and man, were they EXCEPTIONAL. They even ran from spot to spot when they were not lifting. Seriously, how many people have a "sense of urgency" these days? They did!! We hadn't even fully packed up completely and they told us to simply "relax" and before you know it, they had our entire place moved and unpacked in our new home in a few short hours. We couldn't be more pleased. We have already referred Sam's movers to a friend and should we have any other moves, they are already stored in my phone. Wow,Sam's Movers really made moving easier! Although we only moved less than .4 mile , with all of our belongings it felt like we moved thousands of miles. The gentlemen were very respectful and worked very hard. They worked fast and efficiently which made the moving process less stressful. I couldn't even begin to imagine having to move everything by ourselves. The Movers wrapped our furniture and did not hesitate on the heavy lifting.The movers were very careful of not damaging any of our furniture and what topped the cake was when one of the Movers realized the wrapping paper from One of the Christmas gifts had been ripped open- he jumped right into action and said to the other gentlemen," we have to make sure we don't reveal the gift," so he made sure to tape the wrapping paper back so that the kids wouldn't not see their gift. He knew what it meant to us that we kept the contents of their gifts secretive as we were moving. So for that we are thankful for his thoughtfulness. We plan to hire Sam's Movers in the future and would recommend them for your move. read more

I had been researching and researching for movers. I'm big on reviews and very detailed. I was in the process of coordinating my girlfriend's move from Florida to Missouri and I couldn't find any movers to my satisfaction. Well, I took a look at Sam's Movers and I called. Well, it is history. Sam, who is the owner, was so accommodating. He is very professional and stands by his word, polite and respectful. After I spoke with my girlfriend and shared the conversation and the prices, she totally agreed these are the movers that she will using in May. There will be more to come when she actually moves. However, I have no doubt or uneasiness that everything will work out just as planned. I forgot to leave a review the first time Sam's company moved us. It was really a good move the 1st time and they went out of their way to accommodate our needs. They arrived about 10 minutes early. Love that! They worked diligently, and there was a major amount to move. 2nd move...just when I didn't think the movers couldn't get any better, we were even more satisfied. The absolute best crew I have ever seen! And I have used movers at least once a year for at least 20 years for home and business. So I have decided that I am only going to use Sam's movers from now on. Also his rates have been the best around & he doesn't jerk you around at the end trying to raise the quote with some other fees. This was our second move using Sam's and if we ever move again we will be calling Sam's. David and his crew of two guys showed up early after giving me a 30 minute call ahead warning. All three men were friendly, fast, and efficient. They had plenty of furniture pads, shrink wrap, and hand trucks to move our second story 2 bedroom apartment in Ballast Point to Valrico in 3.25 hours start to finish. I recommended Sam's to a few friends after our first move, and decided to a review after the second because the service was that good. Movers, like mechanics, are a business where I always feel I am being taken advantage of, but that is not the case with Sam's. The were upfront about the pricing from our first phone call to schedule the move and that was the final price at the end of the day, nothing unexpected popped up. 100% recommend. read more

Don't ever use this moving company.....They are unprofessional, the workers are lazy. They do not know how to handle fine furniture, they broke a leg off a very expensive leather couch, they broke a leg off an imported Armoire imported from Bali. We caught one of the men opening a box that was marked jewelry. They lost the leg supports to master bed. They left a $1,200 area rug outside all night and it got soaked (i did not know it was left there till the next morning) We do not know what happened to a box spring to one of our beds. Over all it was a complete nightmare, and Sam doesn't seem to want to make good on any of this. They waited to the last possible moment to get another truck to complete the move because all of our furniture would not fit in one truck. This move was from Tampa to Orlando. Called Sam's at fairly short notice to move furniture a couple of blocks to our new home. Sam himself provided details of the service offered and the hourly pricing, which was very reasonable. He followed up with an e-mail confirmation shortly after that. On the removal day, Lee (ran the moving crew) called to make sure that they had a clear picture of what was required and to make sure that the truck they were using was appropriate. The guys arrived right on time and quickly and efficiently moved our things. Everything was wrapped in blankets and shrink for protection, unless we specifically requested otherwise. We have moved pretty frequently over the last 10 years, both locally and internationally, and this was one of the smoothest. We would certainly use Sam's Movers again if the need arises. read more

Larry and Mike handled our move today and were outstanding. Was really dreading the thought of having to move all of my furniture across town, especially living on the 3rd floor of an apartment with no elevators. But there was no reason to be stressed, thanks to these guys. They carefully and efficiently packed up my apartment (wraping everything in thick blankets) and walked everything down 3 flights of stairs to the truck in under an hour. The whole job was complete in under 2.5 hours (including transport time of over 30 miles), everything in the same condition as pre-move, and they set everything up in the new house exactly as we wanted. Sam's movers provided impeccable service, over and above what we had hoped for - simply the BEST. Sam responded to our request for a quote within minutes of when we emailed. Sam even helped us decide the type size and location of the storage site we would need. The day of the move came and Larry, Ronnie and Michael handled it all beautifully. They carefully wrapped and loaded all of our items as if the items were their grandmother's fine china. Throughout the work they acted like they were the owners of the business; they were most professional, courteous, hardworking and extremely efficient. The price was better than competitive. I've had some horrible experiences with moving companies over the years until my friend referred me to Sam's Movers and i couldn't be more pleased. I've used their service now a total of three times and every time they have been on time and professional. It's hard to find any company worth of darn these days and these hard working men deserve recognition for the impeccable service they provided and on such short notice too. I called Sam's Movers on Saturday morning and they had me moved out at 2 pm that same day! I really enjoyed the experience I had using sam's movers. Larry, Shawn and Billy were the 3 guys that came to do my move. They were phenomenal. Showed up on time and got straight to work, they moved lightning fast but yet were extremely careful and respectful of my belongings, wrapping everything up tightly and neatly for me before taking it out to the truck. Upon getting to where I was moving to, they unloaded the truck just as fast and efficiently as they loaded it up, they put everything in the correct place I asked for.. What a way to run a business! WOW! I called for a quote. Sam's Website offered $99 per hour for 2 men and a truck. The moron who answered the phone said the price is $125 per hour and that special was over. I told him your website says $99 per hour. He said I am only doing what I am told by management. They are taking that price down. I said the price is still there and you need to honor that price. He said I only do what I am told. I said call your management. He said I can't. You can't?? This was my first experience needing a moving company. I lucked out when I called Sam's Movers. It was a totally spur of the moment event and I was sure that at 1 pm on a Friday I would not have any luck getting a truck and men by Saturday morning. I was in luck. He had a truck and two men ready to roll that afternoon, John and Carlos. 3 pm they were at the first location for pickup, came by the second location to pick up and drop off and by 5 pm the third location was completed. John and Carlos were exceptional. Polite and courteous, they did their job in a very professional manner. I will definitely be giving Sam's a call for future moves. read more

I have moved about 40 times now, and hesitate to use movers because I've had some very bad experiences. I've had furnitures ripped, things broken and lazy workers who want to sit around and run the clock. But I saw the website for Sam's Movers and decided to give them a try. I have some expensive furniture and was a little worried. But I was pleasantly surprised, these guys are actually professionals, they move fast and carefully, they listen to instructions and put the furniture back together perfectly! Beyond impressed. Sam's Movers wasn't the cheapest option when we requested quotes, but they were fair (and didn't charge for mileage or packaging materials) & they had the best reputation by way of reviews and ratings. So glad we took a chance on Sam's. I've never paid someone to pack and move our stuff, but you always hear horror stories. Lee, Ricky, and David were top notch and I can't imagine having gotten better service anywhere else. Their communication was great, they kept me updated on how far along things were, and even carried happy, comfortable conversation. They were amazing, and worth every penny. I am a senior citizen who has moved many times during my lifetime. I hired Sam's Moving recently and have to tell everyone what a fabulous moving company Sam's Moving is!! Elliott, Chris and Shane were the 3 men that moved me and were the best movers I have ever had as well !! I am so happy I contacted Sam's Movers to help us load up our house as we moved out of the state. Billy and Ronnie did an outstanding job! The two of them were a great team and loaded and packed our moving truck perfectly. 90 plus degrees did not slow them down one bit as they worked quickly to pack items, spending extra time on our important pieces which all arrived to our destination over 1200 miles away in perfect condition. They were more than helpful and very friendly. Absolutely the best moving experience I have had! The entire process was simple and professional. Sam had everything arranged with very little effort on my part. The quoted services were very reasonable and there were no hidden fees/charges. My time frame was accommodated on short notice, no problem.
