We hired Powell to paint the exterior of our home and their carpentry services to replace several rotted window frames for a three story house. Andre stopped by to perform the initial exam and was very thorough and knowledgeable on the work that needed to be done. Unlike other painters I contacted, the Powell team was easy to contact and actually showed up on time for the scheduled time slot. Their quote for the project came in right around the same as other quotes we received, and it was well worth the cost. I can't praise the level of service you get with Powell. Stephanie, who handles scheduling and billing, was on top of communications so that I didn't have to worry about anything. Even the owner, Bryan, stopped by at the beginning to inspect a few leaks we had in our ceiling to help us determine whether there were other issues beyond repairing the rotted windows for us to consider. They will even bring out the drone for inspection if you have a tall home. As additional rotted windows were discovered during the power washing, work orders to add additional work was clear and simple. Once the work actually began, it went so smoothly. Andre stopped by every morning and afternoon to check in and update us. Our crew, Thiago and Breno, were incredibly hard workers. They were at our home by 7:30 am every morning despite the terrible traffic and often worked past 7 pm even during a heat wave. The guys were experts on the ladders despite having a few high, tricky spots to get to. The worksite was clean after each day which I was grateful for as we have a toddler running around. The entire project took 10 days. While it moved fast, it didn't feel rushed and no corners were cut to finish quickly. They even paused the project for 2 days because of rain so that we didn't run the risk of streaky paint. After the work was completed, they insisted on us contacting them if we weren't satisfied with any part of the project. Our home looks completely transformed and brand new. Working with Powell has been one of the best experiences I have had as a new homeowner…read more I reached out to Powell to see if they would be willing to paint the basement room in the townhouse that serves as my movie room\home office. The color that the prior owners picked while nice was a bit too dark for such a small room. They responded to my inquiry the same day and arranged a date and time to stop by and look at the room. Bryan and Andre arrived exactly on time and took a look at the room. Super friendly, patient, and willing to address any questions and concerns. As part of the renovation of the room, I was planning on replacing the carpet and asked him if I should do it before painting the room or after. He strongly suggested to replace the carpet first since the installers tend to scuff the baseboards terribly as they are ripping the old carpet out. I followed his advice and did the carpet first and sure enough the baseboards were in such bad shape after that had I painted I would have had to repaint them. I'm so thankful for that. On the day of the job, Bryan and Andre introduced me to Freddie who would be painting the room for me. Super friendly, professional, and honest. After grabbing the paint, he laid down tarp to cover the brand new carpet and got to work on the walls. It's amazing how quickly he was able to paint this room. It felt as if every move was calculated. What's more impressive is that he conversed with me the entire time! During the end of day 1, Freddie called me over and informed me that the two coats of paint that the quoted me for the job would not be sufficient for cover the walls and they will need to grab another can of paint. I asked him how much extra would I need to pay on top of the quote and said nothing. They told me it would take two coats, it didn't, so it was on them to make it right. Freddie told me he already informed Bryan and he would stop by the paint store tomorrow to grab another can of paint on their dime. I wasn't expecting that at all but greatly appreciated it. In the early afternoon of the second day the room was done. I thanked Freddie and waited for the paint to dry before heading down to plan out moving furniture back in. It was then that I noticed that there were some areas in the room that we not completely covered. I reached out to Stephanie and she called back soon after and told me that Freddie would be stopping by again later the SAME day to take a look. True to their word, Freddie stopped by and took a look at the walls now that they were dry and he confirmed the coverage issues. He grabbed paint and did another pass on the walls which removed the old color. After Freddie departed I started to notice that that wall color is much much warmer that I expected. I tried various color temps on the lights to no effect. I took a look at the sample patch in the other room and confirmed that it looked very different and that maybe I might have made an expensive mistake with the paint choice for this room. On a whim I took a few pics and emailed Stephanie with my concerns. I figured at this point they'll I'm crazy and I didn't expect to hear back. After all, I chose the paint color, they painted the room perfectly, their task is done. An hour after I send the email I get a call, it was Bryan. He looked at the photos, and saw the same thing that I have seen, and he and Stephanie have been trying to figure out the root cause. It turned out that there was some miscommunication and an incorrect shade of white was used on the doors and trim causing white walls to become warmer than they should. He apologized and asked to send a couple of painters the following day with the correct paint to address. I already felt bad about Freddie having to come back so I told Bryan not to rush but he insisted. He knew I took the week off to clear out the room to get it painted, and he wanted to get the job done so I have the weekend to put everything back together so I can work on Monday. 7am the following morning Andre and another painter arrived with the correct paint and took a little over an hour to repaint the doors and trim. As soon as I stepped into the room the walls immediately cooled down. And the state of the brand-new carpet after they were done? Spotless. I love the room now. Snow like color make the room feel bigger and more comfortable. It's easily my favorite place in the house. If you're looking for painting service for your home and are within the service area don't bother looking anywhere else. It's not just the quality of their work (which is outstanding), it's their level of accountability. They will do everything to ensure that the job is done and that you are happy. They came back to my home at two separate occasions to complete one room and I didn't pay a penny more than what was initially quoted to me. I cannot recommend Powell enough and can't wait until I can get them to paint other areas of the home.

The purpose of this review is to warn others about this company. We hired them to remodel our…read morebathrooms, paint our fireplaces and fireplace covers with fire- rated paint, and to to refinish our bathtub and showers by using epoxy paint. This "professional" painting company painted everything with wrong paint. They used door, trim, and cabinet paint to refinish our tub and showers instead of epoxy paint (Please see photos). They painted our fieplace and fireplace covers with acrylic paint. When we caught them with the wrong paint they said that they can strip the paint and re-paint it for us. When they stripped the paint, they over stripped it and caused irreversible damage to our 2 showers, tub, fireplace covers, and fireplace marble. They admitted to fault, but their solution was to replace $3000 custom fireplace screens with $350 screens from Amazon that didn't fit. Mind you that we have 2 custom fireplaces (2x $3000/cover) that they destroyed in different areas of the house. Moreover, they told us to use tape to fix a 3 inch crack in our tub that they destroyed. We weren't happy with their solution so we made a claim to their liability insurance company. They started lying and said that they didn't do the damage. However, their liability insurance performed an investigation and admitted that Rocha Painters caused the damages, but that their insurance company's policies state that it doesn't cover the items that Rocha Painters destroyed. It is documented by their insurance company that they are responsible for $30,000 worth of damages to our house and their liability insurance will only cover about $4,000 of the damages (please see proof with letter written by their insurance company). We are furious as this has been going on since April of this year. In addition to this, when they were here painting, they failed to use drop cloths, and spayed black paint everywhere including our white marbled fireplaces and brand new subflooors. Please see photos. Moreover, their crew made themselves at home and used our microwave to heat up their lunches without even asking for our permission. They just walked up to our kitchen and each one plopped their lunches inside our microwave and began heating away. Do yourself a favor to avoid the headache-please reconsider the importance of your peace of mind and do not hire this untrustworthy company. They have no integrity and disrespects their customers' homes. Most importantly, they carry minimal insurance that will not cover the damages they make to your house.

But there were a few rooms we didn't get to during that Reno. I recently was able to finish those rooms and I knew that there was only 1 call to make in terms of who I wanted to work with - Rocha. As expected the job they did was exceptional and the rooms look beautiful. My home now feels complete and I have them to thank for it. Beyond just the job they did on the final paint, they were excellent consultants on finding the right color - letting me explore a few options to ensure I got exactly the right color. We hired DMB Painting to do work on a small half bath. It was the worst job that I have ever seen…read more It started when his helper used our deck as his saw horse and put multiple nicks in the railing. I had to have Dave redo the molding seven times and it still looks horrible. He also left a gaping hole in the wall behind the toilet and never finished painting behind the toilet. He had a few days that he never showed and was hours late with no phone call. On the first day that they showed up..... they reeked of marijuana. It was so bad that I had to open windows to air out the house before my daughter came home from school. Our bathroom looks horrible and honestly needs to be entirely redone.

We had the unfortunate experience of hiring Bobby Ray Allen Jr to paint our new construction house…read more He quoted us $3,000, an hour later said "actually $4500" Before he started I told him I wanted everything taped off, especially my brand new white kitchen cabinets, as we'd had bad painters in the past who got paint on things they shouldn't have. I was told to "Relax! I'm Picasso!" Needless to say, nothing was taped off. There is paint EVERYWHERE. My white cabinets, brand new hardwood floors, tiles, everywhere!! He didn't fill the trim nail holes with caulking and sand down prior to painting, he just painted over and over and over. Looks HORRID. He would paint trim with semi gloss, get all over walls, then try to cover with the flat paint. Problem is you can still see semigloss through the flat paint. Final straw was him again, after multiple conversations with my husband and I to fill nail holes, just painting over. Then the entire house we used Sherwin Williams paint, he had to pick up a gallon, and he brought over cheap home depot paint! We called to confront and he quit! Took our money, and was never seen again, so we are left with HORRID paint in EVERY room of our brand new house . We've had to hire a new painter who came to quote us and said "this guy either didn't know what he was doing, Or he's the laziest painter I've ever seen". Pictures will reinforce my review.
