Ordered shrimp basket, pizza and BBQ chicken to be delivered to Cliffbreakers hotel. Took about 45 minutes to get here and everything was quite good. Pizza hot and crisp, salads fresh & mostacholli tasty. Shrimp was really good. No complaints, and this is Saturday night. Not sure why the other reviews are so bad. They have our vote. read more

I really don't understand how these guys are still in business. They charge for bread ....for bread at an Italian restaurant!!!! The waitress kept apologizing because of things like putting ice in pitcher after requesting no ice in pop pitcher and she said her boss made her do it. The pizza was very poor-their sauce was like tomato sauce from a can, not spiced at all. The crust was like a cracker. They have really gone down hill and I will not be going there ever again. Way too many good pizza places in town to operate like that and think you will stay in business. I hope someone worthwhile buys them out. read more

Ordered delivery, and so far it has been an hour since I've ordered a simple bacon cheeseburger. Called them up, and been told from the manager that the delivery car just left to bring in the order. So, I decided to wait for another 18 minutes, and still nobody shown up. Called them up again, and talked to them again. Says he is the manager, and so I go about explaining how long since I have waited, and where it does not take 16 minutes to drive to my address. Terrible customer service. I placed an order for a x-large cheese pizza at 11:20am, at 12:20pm I called to check on the status and was told that they had an error in the system and they just pulled the ticket. They told me it would be another 30-45 minutes. At 1:15 I tried calling again (several times) and was put on hold immediately, they didn't even say hello. When I finally got through I asked for another status update and was told it was on the way. I asked that they have the manager call me to discuss this issue, I never received a call back. I've ordered from Sam's 4 times in the last year - 2 of the 4 times the pizza was not cooked all the way. Be careful when ordering late because they will take it out before it is done. Also be careful when ordering extra ingredients or extra cheese - A place that knows how to cook pizza will leave it in a little longer to compensate for extra ingredients - Sam's will pull it out early and give you an uncooked pizza. 2 times in one year, and last year my brother had 3 uncooked pizzas. I don't think I will be ordering from Sam's again - I have ordered from many places but have never been brought an uncooked pizza. With Sam's its 50/50 chance-- That's pretty bad... When they do cook it right it is good only when hot - when you re-heat it the cheese is like plastic (not very good ingredients) - They are open late but watch out - they will rush it and expect uncooked pizza - Check when you get it you will see what I mean read more

We have ordered from Sams in the past quite a bit and had very few problems until about 6 months ago. The first problem was when they charged someone else's order to my credit card and it took them a week to sort it out. The next problem was when we ordered and they sent the wrong food which took an hour to receive . When over an hour later they brought the correct food it was cold and all you could taste was old grease! We stupidly ordered again today. We ordered the pick any 3 appetizers ( as we had done in the past with no problems!! ) We get the food and it is all in one container! There were 3 chicken strips, 4 cheese sticks ( which were fried so hard that all the cheese was outside the stick ) and 6 fried mushroom. When I called to say something about the situation the lady on the phone gave me MAJOR attitude. We called her out on her attitude and hung up only to call a few minutes later call the manager who proceeded to talk over me and condescend me. He accused me of lying and became very angry when I told him the portions he sent were not what they had sent in the past. He says he cooked it himself and was I calling HIM a liar! When I confronted him with all the past issues including the new one he told me he didn't have time to argue with me over petty stuff and to call a different restaurant from now on. this is a neighborhood joint. Nothing fancy but casual and very affordable. The décor is from the 70s and the tables are vinyl covered. The staff is very casual and not at all up tight. I've lived in the neighborhood and never ate there mainly cause I cook myself and am originally from NY and our Italian food is a bit more seasoned there. Anyway this has become my regular eatery due to cost, convenience and consistency. They specials run about $6.50-7.00 for dinner. I recently had a Lasagna and it was decent. Once again nothing extraordinary but satisfying, it came with a side salad of iceberg lettuce a few strands of red cabbage, a slice of cucumber and possibly a tomato. I always have decaf coffee. It's fair. Once again nothing extraordinary. The pizza looks decent and there is a a lot of take out traffic. I've also had their meat ravioli which was ok. I guess my favorite is their fried cauliflower appetizer with ranch dressing. I would recommend and order of that with fried zucchini. Their baked cod was fair also. Their bar looks busy also. Parking is adequate. They do accept cash, credit, and debit. I would rather go here then Olive Garden. Mainly because it's local quick and it's supports our local neighborhood. read more

I ordered the 5 piece cod dinner and my Wife ordered the 21 piece shrimp delivered to our home. The cod was over cooked and tough only 1/2 " thick with 1/4" of breading! We decided to have a graduation party there for our twin daughters. It was $150 to reserve the room, which we paid. We ended up having 8 people at the party. The food & service was good, and then we received the bill. It was for $170, which included a $40 tip for the waitress (must've been around 30%). I went to pay the $20 difference from our $150 deposit & was shocked when they said we cannot use the deposit. They said we had to order over $300 of food to get our deposit back. We mentioned that we weren't told that when making the reservation & they said "Sorry, you should have been, but there's nothing we can do about it now". I've had Sams pizza before at school and it was delicious so I always asked my mom to order it. yesterday we ordered 2 pizzas from here and we found a dark strand of hair in one of the slices, so we just threw that slice and a slice that was around it away. we brushed it off until now. today I grabbed 2 slices and I found a long, blonde strand of hair that went through both slices. I am done ordering pizza from this place. The food is actually ok but the service is horrible. The first issue we had was when we tried to order a special we saw on the website but they told us we were "wrong" and it didn't exist. I can't believe anybody working in customer service would ever tell the customer they were wrong...especially when it was in their website. The next problem we had was when we ordered a pizza for pick up but someone made a mistake and tried to deliver it. We didn't hear the doorbell and weren't expecting anybody. All of a sudden we get an angry call from the driver. We explained that we ordered pickup, not delivery. He argued, told us we were wrong, and that we had paid a delivery fees, which we did not and had the receipt to prove it. When my boyfriend went into the shop there was no apology or explanation, just anger and they still acted like we were wrong. This is unacceptable customer service. I ordered two baked mostacciolis with meat sauce I get my pasta and no cheese. I called them back and they told me the girl that took my order wasn't there any more and would send the driver back but I would have to pay for the cheese again. Then the driver brings the food back with cheese but no meat sauce. I order from Sam's all the time but this is the fourth time in a row my food has been wrong. I don't know who or why they hire some people!! For starters, I ordered food and live downtown, and this guy shows up to deliver my food, I ask him his name and said Chris or something like that, and he has this heavy set woman in his silver suv, yelling at him about something. Since when do delivery drivers get to have someone ride along? From what I always understood, is that it was instant termination and breaking laws with insurance? This coming from experience myself as a delivery driver. The food was decent, but the delivery guy smelled foul and had food on his face. I was almost ready to call and report him to his manager because I really thought he had eaten our food! I'm sorry, I'll be going to a different location for my dinner from now on. I am very displeased on how and who they have as delivery drivers, since speaking from past experience, the delivery drivers are the face of the company they are representing upon delivery of services.
