call them about a part they and said I would take it. Two days later, they called me back and said they don't have that part but they can get another one and it would take 4 to 5 days to get. I said I'll take that one. Three days later they call me back and tell me they can't get that one, but they have another one that is $600 more expensive And that is all they have and they can't do anything about the price. In a nutshell, I have waited over a week part they could not get or didn't have and then they me a part they have in stock. Not a good way to do business in my opinion. read more

I am selling my 2009 hummer H3X. It's super nice no issues however as soon as I listed it the sunroof started having problems; one side of it wasn't opening right anymore because something broke up there and I was so upset about it because I don't like selling something when something is not working. I took it to a place that works on them. However, they could not get parts, they were going to be on back order forever. I reached out to a place that I know my dad and brother have purchased parts from before, Sam's Riverside! I talked to Brad, he checked, and they had the whole unit that he would sell me and they also installed it for me. It's a big job, and they even treated me right on Price. They tested everything before installing, and before returning my vehicle to me, plus gave me a 30 day warranty !!. They had everything installed and in excellent working condition and I have never been so happy. The installer was Travis and he was super nice and they both explained to me what they did and what they replaced and even made sure it worked before I left. Travis even went a step farther, and made sure all the draining tubes were cleared and free of garbage. Oh, and did I mention they did all this the same week I called. I am disgusted by how shady Sam's Riverside turned out to be! We got my son a 2013 Nissan in January of this year for a good price. Since this happened, I decided to get myself a car and I did. I bought a 2016 Malibu just a few weeks ago. Since buying the Malibu my son has had to take his car into have it fixed because the catalytic converter was rusted, and it was not cheap to fix the issue. My car is now in the shop because the check engine light came on a week after I purchased it. So, they cleared the check engine code basically so they could make the sale. My mechanic just called me, and it is going to cost me over $2000 to get everything that is wrong with it fixed! One of the things that needs fixed is the catalytic converter. I am fully aware that these cars were purchased with rebuilt titles, however you would think that when you fix a car that has been in an accident that you would fix ALL OF THE DAMAGE from said accident! Cleary that is not what these guys do. The car was hit so hard that it damaged the catalytic converter, and you CANNOT tell me that they didn't see that when doing the other repairs! And the same thing goes for my son's car! The other crappy part is that we asked if they could come down on the price at all and they did for a measly $200 knowing that I was going to have to put a BUNCH of money into it. You guys are just out here screwing over people, and you should all be ashamed of yourselves!! read more

Staff were very rude, open hours are not convenient to the normal work day hours. Stopped a few minutes before close just to lay eyes on vehicle. Before taking time off work for test drive and purchase. Staff waited around until close time to even acknowledge I was there, then just said oh we're closed now. Would be hard pressed to return. read more

So where to start I love my car, very happy that I found my car, But I got my car home that I had to have delivered and took it to have it inspected( which is not required in Iowa) and the car needs all 4 tires replaced! so I called and complained since I you know I bought a $31000 car and then Paid another 800 to have it delivered and just to find out the car isn't even safe to drive!!!! spoke to the used car sales manager and was told it is a used car and things are used! Ya got that thanks but I should not have to replace tires the moment I get the car literally can't even wrap my head around this! I have purchased 2 vehicles from Sam's Riverside. I bought a 2009 Cadillac CTS with 23,000 miles in 2010. I paid less than 50% of book value ($15,000) and put $5,000 into rebuilding the rear end. The car ran until 2018 with 197,000 miles with no issues. Transmission finally gave out, but I had more than gotten my money out of that car! I was so happy with them, I traded the car back to them and bought a 2013 Jeep. I guess the saying is true, "Once you go salvage, you never go back"!!! read more

We were shopping for a low mileage Toyota or a Honda like everyone else in the free world and having zero luck in our own town. We came across a salvaged title car and thought "I would never buy this". Then we got home and got to thinking about it--we're looking for a car that we're going to keep and drive for a long time so resale is not an issue and I don't care what it looks like as long as it runs good. We started researching salvaged title cars and Sam's Riverside is like the midwest's Mecca of salvaged title cars. We drove there from Kansas City. This is not a dealership where they hand you a cup of coffee when you walk in, this is a concrete warehouse full of cars. Some have serious body damage, some have water damage and some, like ours had just hail damage. The cars are NOT cleaned out. If the previous owner left a Burger King sack in the back, there is still going to be a Burger King sack in the back. Mud on the floor mats--you name it, it's all still there. Remember, you are in fact, in a segment of a junk yard. Our "salesman" helped us find the cars we had already selected online. We had already researched the VIN using autocheck. We also had the app on our smartphone to do any further research on the VIN to know what we were buying because as I mentioned the cars can be salvaged for many reasons, sometimes you can tell from the autocheck reports, sometimes not. But we also tried to avoid vehicles titled in flood states. We selected a car with pretty major hail damage. A Low milage Toyota and took it to a local mechanic. We paid $95 for them to do a full inspection. The car was mechanically sound, which is exactly what we wanted. I would say we saved at least $2,000 buying our car this way and got a car with 20,000 fewer miles. Overall, it's not for the faint of heart but I would defiantly do it again. This place was fabulous! Lexus dealer said it would cost $8500. To fix climate control/ navigation in my 2004 rx330. SAMs had the exact match, they overnited it to us and my husband and I installed it in 15 minutes. It works perfectly just as Nick said and saved us about $8000. I recdently purchased a pick-up from these people, after the finale purchase was made the problems started, differeential seals, rust underneath which could not be seen unless one would crawl underneath or have on a hoist, iasked them to work wth me and they said no, all sales wee final, the pick-up had a clean title, i would not reccommend this place to a salvage yard let alone anyone to do bussiness with these, in my opinion crooks. the star rating does not go low enough for me to rate them.
