I came in here on Wednesday (12/27/23) at around 2:15pm, (I didn't catch the name of the guy working there, so hopefully the time stamp will help owners identify who he is), and I was looking at Terp Slurps. I asked him a few questions and he begrudgingly answered them, but it was extremely apparent that my questions and I were a huge annoyance to him. There were no other customers in the store, so it's not like he was swamped and I was demanding his attention away from anyone else. He just wasn't interested in doing his job or making a sale. I asked him if I could look at a nectar collector, and he didn't verbally reply so I thought he was ignoring me until I looked up & saw he had walked over to take it out, and he handed it to me without a word. Honestly the entire experience was just tense and awkward and uncomfortable. Before I left, I asked him if I could look at the basket of dab tools, to which he replied "they're all the same they just have different colored tips" This was not accurate. I could very clearly see that they were not all the same, but he just wasn't interested in doing his job I guess? Idk maybe I caught him on a bad day. We're all entitled to bad days. My girlfriend purchased a Stizzy starter kit, and it was defective. She brought it back for a refund with her receipt. The owner denied her request for a refund and gave a reason that he was not able to do so because he brought the product in LA. I can only conclude that he bought that and perhaps other products from an unlicensed distributor. It is absolutely not a customer's responsibility where the business buys its product. It is absolutely a retailer's responsibility to stand by the products it sells. read more

Let me preface this by saying I wish i could have given 0 or negative stars: A little while ago I went in here to buy a nectar collector. I've had really bad experiences with some of the other smoke shops in the area due to their lack of caring or making me feel uncomfortable that I'm even in their store. So anyways, I found Sam's smoke shop online and decided to give it a try. I went in their recently during the early evening and was pleasantly surprised by their customer service and knowledge. They helped me find exactly what I needed and were very friendly. I even mentioned and complained how other stores treat me (and other customers) like we're idiots and make you feel like they just wish you would leave already. The employee at Sam's responded by saying, "I don't like to bad mouth our competition, but I will say that you shouldn't go to them ever again and come to us from now on because we will take care of you and make sure you are never dissatisfied." That made me feel good inside knowing that I might have found a shop I could make my "home shop" because of the the bad experiences I've had with others previously. Then I get home..... I did exactly what the employee told me to do with the product I bought (put it in the fridge for a certain amount of minutes) and then take it out. I took it out and before I was even able to use it the glass cracked. I did not drop it, I did not change the tip, I did *NOT* USE it in any way, shape or form..... a small chunk of glass cracked where the tip (in this case it was a ceramic tip) slides into the glass slot at the bottom. I didn't even remove or mess with the tip or the plastic clip that holds them together. I literally bought the piece from Sam's Shop, followed the directions I was given by putting it in the fridge for 10 minutes, took it out, laid on my bed excited to try out my new rig, and as I was holding it I heard a crack. I immediately looked at it a noticed the glass cracked where the tip inserts into the bottom glass section. It was really frustrating but I wasn't too upset considering the fact the people at Sam's were really nice to me the night before and it was obviouly a product defect and not caused by me, the customer. Boy was I wrong. I went back in the next day and confident they would see it wasn't caused by my hands I really thought I could get a replacement, a refund, or even just a partial credit towards a new one. They acknowledged it hadn't been used because there was no heat marks, resin, etc... but still said "tough luck" (i'm paraphrasing, but that was the jist of it). "All sales are final so we cannot and will not do anything for you." Now again, this is a day after they told me that I should go to them from now on and they would take care of me and never let me feel like I was cheated after I left their store. So as I was leaving, I turned around one more time and said, "Really? I bought this last night, have never used it, followed the instructions your employees gave me and now that it broke you won't do anything for me?" The owner said, "Fine, you're right... I'll give you a 5$ credit to the store." Talk about a slap in the face. I was able to keep the rig (obviously because they wouldn't acknowledge it was a defect in the product) I bought so I have pictures if anyone is skeptical of my story of doesn't believe me. The break in the glass wasn't major, but unfortunately where it broke made it impossible for tips to stay locked in. (It is an organic glycerin nectar collector) So now I've got to try and find another store that actually cares about their clients. I'm 0 for 3 at this point. If anyone can please suggest a place that cares about their customers and their products, please let me know. Don't fall for Sam's Smoke Shop's bullsh*t. Again, if you don't believe me, I have pictures and will gladly share them. I'm leaving some parts regarding the no returns policy out because I don't want to give away how he is breaking the law and let him have time to fix it. I'm not sure if the owner realizes how many laws he is breaking, but he will find out soon. People who smoke can have their bachelors in business law FYI. read more

This place is bad. I bought some Humble vape juice called Creamy Crunch 60ml 6mg Nic., I take it home and open it and it smells like a nasty chemical reaction comparable to formaldehyde. If you smell it you would immediately back away from it. So I bring it back figuring no problem the sh-tuff stinks, and Sam takes a whiff, looks down at the name and says it smells like a creamy delicious dessert! (actually said it smelled like creme) Now I know I am dealing with a con man. Creme does not describe the smell of rotting carcass. So I check on the vape mod that I bought, he charged me 80 something dollars so I'm figuring its a full size mod, from the box picture I wasn't sure, I open that up and its a little small thing that shouldn't cost 80 bucks! I drove my bike a block south (actually 3 Blks.) on Harbor Bl., to another vape shop, and bought the same little mod, different color, for 39 bucks plus tax. Obviously the guy is out to rip people off once and then relax because they ain't coming back. Go south of this store, same side of Harbor Bl, for a honest vape store.( Vaping Industries) read more

If I could give this shop "NO STARS" I would. My BF and I were looking for gifts for friends and decided to give them lighters. I bought two (2) and went home about to wrap our friends birthday gift and noticed the one lighter was not working properly, it was stiff. Which means no good. I brought the lighter back to the store the "NEXT" day and told him about the lighter and he said sorry all sales are final . I mentioned that he sold me a broken lighter but again I was unable to touch or test it due to Covid - 19 until, I purchased . So naturally, I went home and tested it there by the time I got home the store was closed to go back. Either way, be very CAUTIOUS about this BART SIMPSON LOOKING FELLA. Would give this place zero stars if I could. He seemed high on m3th and was acting homophobic to me and my friend. I asked for a vape base for my weed cartridge vape and he looked at me and didn't say anything. I started to get annoyed cuz he was the most UNHELPFUL employee. Every time I've been a customer at sams smoke shop, I always experience super welcoming and and amazing vibes . The owner and employees have always had great attitude and patience and take their time and actually care and give honest recommendations and answer all the questions you could have and don't just say whatever and tell you uh huh. Or agree with a question just to get you to buy it and rush out the door with a nasty vape flavor . I've been visiting sams for the past couple years now and I can definitely say this is gonna be hands down one of the best smoke shops in this part of town. I got an amazing quality marble dabbing bowl piece and bong from then and it lasted me for almost over a year until someone stole it . This guy sold me a pipe that was unusable. When I first tried to use it, I found that the interior of the pipe had a pinhole-sized opening; it made a whistling sound when I tried to inhale through it; felt like I was trying to smoke underwater. I'd never thought to check if a pipe was actually functional before I bought it: that's kind of a safe assumption, isn't it? I brought it back, and the owner became very defensive immediately. No refunds, and it wasn't his fault, it was his supplier. He wouldn't hear of providing me with a replacement. So he sold me a completely worthless pipe and tells me basically "tough".
