Michelle is PHENOMENAL!!!! I've been following her work and obsessing over it for years. Once I got…read moreengaged, I knew there was no other option. I HAD to have Michelle shoot my wedding!!! We did our engagement photos a few months ago and she killed it (Duh)! Her eye for a good shot is unreal. We stood in front of an overgrown bush and at first I thought, "what is she doing? this is going to look weird"... NOPE. The shots in front of this bush are AMAZING and turned out to be my favorite shots of our entire shoot. She can make an ordinary background look amazing in the pictures. My fiancé hates pictures and really wasn't looking forward to our shoot and to be honest, I was so nervous all of our pics would look like he was forcing a fake smile. But no way, not with Michelle! She had him cracking up and was able to get the most genuine smiles out of him. Her work genuinely doesn't even need any editing. All of her originals are stunning but the edits...oh my god. I cried when I got my pictures back. They were everything I wanted. I cannot wait for her to shoot my wedding! Being that photos are such an important part of our wedding, I know I'm in great hands with Michelle. She's seriously like a magician. Her eye for photography is something I fell inlove with years ago. There was no other option in my mind. Michelle is the only way to go if you want the most beautiful photos!!! I feel so lucky to have locked her in for my wedding.

I moved to Chicago at the end of last year, and this is my first pregnancy. At first, I wasn't sure…read moreif I wanted to do a maternity photoshoot. It felt out of my comfort zone, something I had never done before. But after hearing from friends that I might regret not capturing this moment, I decided to start searching for a photographer. I came across many different artists online, but Sri's portfolio immediately stood out. His photography style is artistic, natural, and unique--nothing felt overly posed or awkward. I was already approaching my third trimester, so time was limited. Thankfully, Sri responded quickly and guided me through the entire process. He explained what to bring, what to expect, and assured me that most of the wardrobe and accessories would be available at the studio. We scheduled the shoot two weeks later with Sri and his talented makeup artist, Laura. When I arrived, I was nervous and unsure, but those feelings quickly disappeared. Both Sri and Laura made me feel completely at ease. Laura styled my hair into soft waves and gave my skin a beautiful, radiant glow, while Sri patiently walked me through the session step-by-step. Sri has an incredible eye for detail and a clear passion for his craft. He was attentive, energetic, and never rushed the process. Even when I needed time to find the right pose, he remained patient and encouraging, always focused on capturing the perfect shot. The final photos exceeded all my expectations--they are stunning and filled with emotion. I'm so grateful I stepped out of my comfort zone and trusted Sri with this experience. He even made sure I had a beautifully edited photo ready in time for my baby shower just one week later. This photoshoot has become one of the most meaningful memories of my pregnancy, and I wholeheartedly recommend Sri to anyone looking for a photographer. He not only incredibly talented but also kind, professional, and deeply passionate about what he does.

She hadn't planned on doing a shoot for herself and I wanted to make sure she had something beautiful to look back on to remember the moment. It was important to find someone who would make her feel comfortable while also delivering truly stunning maternity pictures-- and Sri exceeded all expectations. From my first call with him, Sri was warm, professional, and incredibly straightforward about pricing, deliverables, and the entire process. He made everything seamless, even arranging hair and makeup. When I introduced Sri to my sister, he was just as kind and reassuring, which instantly put her at ease. The maternity photo shoot itself was an amazing experience. Sri's studio is in a great location and offers the privacy that was important for my sister to feel relaxed. Throughout the session, Sri brought great energy and took the time to understand how my sister wanted to see herself in the photos. His expertise in artistic photography really came through-- his use of light is masterful, creating simple yet powerful images that perfectly capture this special moment. I found Sri by searching online for photographers in Chicago, and I'm so grateful I did. If you're looking for a talented, professional, and thoughtful Chicago maternity photographer, Sri is the one to book!

I've been struggling with the idea of writing this review, but feel compelled to share our…read moreexperience, as I am sure others may find themselves in the same situation. We first met Otto through a Craigslist advertisement, where he was searching for models to help him explore areas around his new neighborhood of Joliet, IL, to give him inspiration for future shoots there. As the newly-engaged fiancee to a photographer myself, I felt compelled to respond to the ad, and within a few days, we had met Otto in downtown Joliet. As far as Otto's technique and professionalism, I know that the dynamic between a couple and their photographer largely depends on the personalities of each person and the intention with which they approach the shoot, but my partner and I were a bit put off by the excess of light boxes and staged posing. Still, for couples who seek photographers with this style, I do think that Otto would be a great match. Otto is a very friendly and funny person, and we felt that he was respectful and supportive of our relationship, which I am sure is hugely important for any couple contracting someone to capture it on their wedding day! When we received the images from the shoot, we were happy with his work and very grateful that he shared these with us. It wasn't until recently that I began to feel a bit uncomfortable about having worked with Otto. I had stumbled across something he had published that hinted at an anti-gay mentality, and was surprised by this finding. I was initially hurt, but my partner pursued it further with him to allow him the opportunity to explain what he meant. We were met with a response that was offhand and flippant regarding our concern, and could not help but feel the sting of hypocrisy at its finest. This review is not meant to attack Otto on his stance on LGBT rights, as everyone is entitled to his opinion, but I think it is disheartening to work with someone who claims he is supportive of gay marriage when he is working with a gay couple (for monetary gain or otherwise), and who then turns his back on the issue when he is no longer under contract. This may not mean much to most people, as questions of their unions never surface, but I would be doing a disservice to myself and the LGBT community at large by not revealing our experience.

This review is LONG overdue as our wedding was May 2010. *gulp*…read more I have known Otto for years. We went to school together. And although we worked together on many projects, photography was always his strongest love and passion. When we worked together, you could appreciate his sense of detail, his eye and ability to bring out the best in people by disarming the situation. It was a no-brainer when the time came to get married that Otto would be the one to do the photos. We didn't want the standard photos you see so often. We'd seen the work he's done for others and in his own home with his family. With only one request (big family photos), we left him alone to do his work: gave him free reign, full access. And with that, his thoughtful, photojournalistic style made our wedding as vivid in stills as it did in real life that day. In terms of logistics, our non-standard wedding (outdoors, in a public park) were no problem for Otto. He quick assessed the situation and delivered stunning photography that has been the rave of everyone who has seen them. He is strongly strongly recommended. And if you have any questions about his work, please feel free to DM me.
