I read Mr. Moses' reviews and assumed from them that he would be decent. Turns out after showing up to his office and him refusing to look at anything that wasn't printed out, he promised to file an extension for me that went un-filed and lead to a $1200 penalty. I really can't stand people like this .. it would take him forever to respond and even though I asked multiple times for confirmation that he filed this extension, in the end he did not. What a waste of time and money. Stay away. read more

I really did like Samuel at first. Seemed to take the time to get to know us and all. Talked ALOT! My husband and I liked him. It is really too bad that they do not return calls and do not send you notices. One of the corps (that did not even need but he said it would be best to have) was suspended w FTB. Samuel had his address listed so the notices were sent to him... I had no clue what was going on because Samuel Moses never botherd to call, email, nothing. He set up two corps for me, charged me almost 3k for them. Also, he prepared my 08, and 09 returns for me...You guessed it, AUDIT! the IRS agent said that he had taken both miles AND repairs as a deduction and he was not to do that... Samuel Moses came highly recomended by a friend I trust with my life. BUT, DO NOT TRUST him with your financials... I would just say CHECK EVERYTHING! sent him a request for a copyof my returns several months ago...still no word. Very unpro if you ask me. read more

Have any of Sam's clients heard from him recently? Sam has been doing my taxes since 2013... I've always really liked and trusted him. I felt like I was in good hands with a professional. I found out I was being audited for 2015/2016 a few months ago, and was never able to reach Sam to consult :( I must have emailed him at least 10 times since August, left 3 voicemails. He emailed me back once in early November... and then radio silence. I am not sure whether to be worried about him, or upset that he disappeared. If anyone has had a recent interaction, I would love to hear from you. I'm hoping Sam is alright. But extremely disappointed that I couldn't reach him, when facing an IRS audit for the tax returns he helped me prepare. I'm at a loss, and turning to Yelp in hopes of learning more. Sam filed my S Corp last year, and I'm really bummed after 6 years of working with him, I need to look for a new CPA. read more
