Well, my experience with Samuels was just awful. While ono e thought Shazia was okay to work with, I honestly didn't think so. She is the manager now at Tracy Samuels. I purchased a wedding band for my husband (in replacement to the one he lost) and another ring. I opened an account and to make the long story short, I ended up wanting to return my ring and just keep my husband's and she said I had 30 days. I was quick to go back to her regarding the return policy and all other questions I had including the warranty. First, there were no complete details of the warranty and next, I told her I wanted to return the ring and I was told she couldn't look me up becuase the account number I got or had been generated with was like some soc. sec. number on their computer...something like "secrecy" as she stated. I asked, "you can't look me up in your computer and you guys put in all my infos there just 2 days prior and you can't look up my account number for me to return the ring?" She said there was no way and what made me doubt her even more was shen she said I had to have my credit card recived in the mail frist before I could return anything" Really odd! I called the bank that authorized my account and I was told "there's no such thing" and that all they had to do was call them and that all customers' info's including my account number were all in their system. And the bank employee told me to do something to get it and I did exactly what and how I was told. It worked...I went to see the district manager in another mall and really played the trick well that I was able to get my account number and talked to him about everything and I was fuming mad. Luckily, the District Manager was nice and pleasant to deal with. Went back to return the ring in Tracy and she (the mgr) was nervous as heck. She thought she could fool me...I showed her my account number without my credit card and told her I was able to pull that out from the other store. Now why didn't she even try to look me up on their system and instead, tell me I had to wait for my credit card in the mail? Pretty tricky...the longer you keep it, the harder it will be to return. I returned the ring just a few days after purchasing it but was only able to do it after I went calling the bank, the District Mgr. and traveling over an hour just to speak with him and finally releasing my credit card acct. number...and they did it with just my driver's lic! Gee whiz! I'm very good with taking notes and I thought if she (the mgr at Tracy branch) was going to mess with me even more, I was ready to take this to Better Busines Bureau. I wasn't going to let any of them mess with me. The reason for my return was to get an upgrade...all just within only a few days. And all the hassle I had to deal with, wow!!! So ridiculous...it was like LIE after LIE after LIE. It's unfortunate people there tried to lie to someone like me, a business owner who happens to be very good following up on everything and taking down notes. My husband and I thought of getting a more expensive diamond there but after all that's happened, I decided to go elsewhere and found me a 2 carat colorless diamond and set in the most beautiful band with another carat worth of diamonds around it from another jeweler in SF...and how my beautiful ring shines!!! I've got the best deal with my colorless diamond...what an awesome price I got both the diamond and band for...something Samuel's Jewelers can NEVER touch! Samuels in Tracy just lost me as a customer. Never will I ever buy from them again and that includes all other jewelry stores in any mall! The best way to go is to first do your homework, research everything and take time. Then go to wholesalers, buy a loose diamond separately and have it set...you will be GLAD you did! I got a 2 1/2 carat altogether and the huge center stone and all the smaller ones around it are all colorless with VS clarity and the price was so awesome! Talk about one majoy sparkler! So white, so clear! Got it appraised with certificate and I got the best of the best! I will never go back to Samuels again esp. after finding out their awful and dishonest way of doing business! About 2 years ago, I bought a beautiful diamond (a loose stone) from Samuel Jewelers in Tracy, CA. Julia and Shazia helped me find a GIA certified diamond that I had been looking for. They found exactly what I asked for in the 4 C's for the diamond. The ladies were friendly and provided me with great customer service. Then 2 weeks ago, I found myself back in the Samuel Jewelers in Tracy, CA. Again, I was help by Julia and Shazia along with Alyiah. The ladies brought out several wedding sets. They were all beautiful but I was so indecisive at the time. The ladies did not pressure me to make a decision. (Which I greatly appreciated). Recently, I went back to the store to finally make a decision. The ladies showed me a really excellent wedding set from my previous visit. The one they believe to make the diamond I bought 2 years ago stand out and shine. I made the decision to take their advance and buy the ring. After getting the ring back from the jeweler, I was extremely shocked on how beautiful and perfect the ring looked. I am extremely happy and excited. I have never been so "wow" by such a purchase. Thanks to Julia, Shazia, and Alyiah, I now own the perfect ring. These ladies were very helpful, friendly, and attentive. They treated me so right. They provided excellent customer service being so attentive and patient with me. I am very grateful to these ladies. I am glad I went back to the Samuel Jewelers in Tracy, CA to find my ring. My husband and I came here when he was ready to upgrade my center stone back in 2013. The stone we got for our budget was an amazing buy!!! Initially Emily and another lady who no longer works there helped us but the store manager Shazia was the one that found us the lovely stone. They were able to use my initial setting because I loved the vintage style and mounted the new diamond on it. The old center stone was made into a necklace pendant for me as well. We are currently shopping for a second ring and diamond as well. Emily, Julia and Shazia are helping us out to find the perfect stone. I will say this to wrap it up if you don't know what you want they will help you narrow it down as many times as you need. If you need education and help picking something out they will also guide you towards what fits your liking, style, and budget. Samuels is the absolute best! Shazia in particular was who assisted us and she went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were more than happy. We had brought my original wedding ring in to match , make it in white gold and upgrade the diamonds. I was very nervous to have this done as I did not want to change the look of my original ring. My husband went to several Jewerlers to get pricing and an overall understanding of diamonds and how the rings are made. Shazia took the time to educate us and she demonstrated much patience as this is a big purchase and huge decision. My ring is gorgeous . It is exactly like the original and the upgrade touches are perfect . She is extremely thoughtful , knowledgeable, professional and now we consider her a friend . We just went back yesterday to get hubbys ring done and we would never go anywhere else . Shazia makes you feel like family and our purchase felt heart filled verses like just another transaction. I wrote a review on 05/20/2014 stating that I would be back to buy my daughter the diamond butterfly earrings she wanted for her birthday, and I did just that. I didn't think my experience could get much better, but they continued to amaze me. Julia remembered my daughter's birthday and the earrings she loved. I wasn't paying attention to sales or checking with the store. I just figured I would go back when it was close to her birthday and get them. There was a GREAT sale on the earrings one day and Julia called me months later to tell me the good news. I went back and got them immediately!
