Excellent service. I took my Mothers wedding ring set in for repair. The solitaire was loose, broken prongs, ring guard had damage, and missing prongs and both needed resizing. I had been wearing it for about 35 years after my Mom passed so the set was old and well worn. Jerry wrote down everything needed and priced it all out. I came to Jerry with two diamond rings, engagement and wedding band, for appraisal and cleaning. I explained the timeline and purpose I needed the jewelry task completed. He got the job done three days early. This was very helpful to me. He also helped me find the serial number laser etched into the side of the rock. With that number he shared a website with me, which provided all the specifications I needed, saving me the cost of an appraisal. The quality of the cleaning was as advertised, which is excellent like-new shine. The unfortunate element of my case is my wife is leaving me, for better or worse. She had taken the rings off her finger which broke my heart into pieces. I got my engagement ring resized here and when I got it back, I was absolutely devastated. The first picture was after getting it resized compared to before.. the edges were not rounded out whatsoever and the shape super oval compared to before when I only sized it a quarter size down. When I asked the owner if it would look any different after resizing, he confidently said "no and It would look exactly the same." I was obviously upset and they tried to fix it and it did look a little bit better but the edges were still prominent and not the same width all around. I ended up taking it to a jeweler in Livermore and they were able to correct it but I had to pay to resize it twice because of the mistake. I was super disappointed and after the initial mistake, the owner did not give me much confidence on what they could do to fix it. I was shocked they returned the ring to me in that condition and the owner said he did not look at it before giving it back. read more
