So, my parents got me a 14 karat gold chain for Christmas/Graduation gift and they got it here for thousands, they charged high which is as expected for a "real gold" right? When I got it, my uncle, mom, and I noticed that most of the individual block of the chain are reacting to magnet. The pendant isn't which makes it real. But most of the chain do. It also feels lighter from how it looks. Real gold aren't supposed to react to magnet and I highly suggest y'all to go elsewhere as this place may fool you if you don't know how to look. Love my ring but very disappointed in the shady-misleading way they conduct business. You need to watch them, and if your going to make a lay away purchase, get it finalized in writing of all the fee's before making the purchase, they will mislead and cheat you. I chose one of their bridal sets, it was displayed in a single display tower with a "sale" sticker right under the ring. They said "oh the sale wasn't for another week" and only the engagement part was on sale, not the wedding band. Then the sales guy offers us the insurance for $175.00. This includes diamond replacement but of course you have to bring it in every 6 months, you can't miss a month, if you do it's void. When my fiance was in purchasing my ring there was an angry customer in there very upset, he was saying he missed a six month inspection, a stone fell out and they refused to replace it. Anyway, he went to pick up my ring, he planned on paying the $175.00 for insurance they quoted us when we first put the ring on lay away, well when he get's there the same sales guy (I will update with his name once I get home and get it) tell's him it's an additional $110.00 for the wedding band insurance. This guy is a fraud and unbelievable!! He's going to squeeze as much out of him as possible. We should of left and took our business else where but I really liked the ring and was tired of looking. I thought Kay Jewelers was a reputable Jewelry store, NOT!! I'm very disappointed and will make sure to let all my friends and family know after the wedding how shady they really are! We went in for a battery replacement, a safety chain for a new bracelet, and to have links removed from 3 watches. Edna waited on us and gave excellent service. She was extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful. My wife bought a new pair of gold hoop earrings and Edna explained all the warranty options and was not pushy during the sale. Stay away from the kay jewelers in the tracy mall. They are crooks.they quote you one price and even have you pay for it and give you a receipt saying this is the actual price to repair your ring not an estimate. They keep the ring for over 2 weeks and then call and say it's now tripled in price. What a scam. If I could give this business negative stars I would. Here's why: I have been a Kay Jewelers customer and account holder for many years. I've never had great experiences with them but have continued to purchase gift items for my friends and family from time to time. On the afternoon of Oct. 28th this year I needed to find a 15th Anniversary gift for my wife. I saw a perfect Movado watch in the case at the Tracy location store and worked with a very nice young lady on the purchase. I left very happy about my experience and knew my wife would be thrilled with the new watch. One thing I asked my salesperson was about adjusting the band and she said "no problem, just have her come in and we will take care of it" Due to our busy schedules we were not able to get back into the store until the evening on 11/18/15 to get the band adjusted. On arriving in the store with my wife I asked that they adjust the band by removing one link. The lady behind the counter was "Jolina" who asked if I purchased the watch there. I said yes. She then asked me if it was purchased at that particular location because they charge to adjust watch bands. I told her "yes" it was. She then asked if I had the receipt. At this point I am getting irritated by her rudeness. Keep in mind I also purchased the "Extended Service Watch Plan" for $130.00 additional. I asked her again if we can just get this taken care of. She takes my wife's watch to the work station and fiddles around with it for 10 minutes and comes back and hands it to my wife and says "we can't adjust it because we don't have the Movado tool to do so". She then tells us to go across the mall to Devon's Jewelers to have them do it. Really??? They sell Movado watches and can't even adjust the band size? The attitude of this employee was completely inappropriate and to do all this in front of my wife was even worse. My wife said just return the watch if that's how they handle customer service. I returned on 11/19/15 to return the watch and was told "NO" it is worn and we can do nothing for you. This was again "Jolina". I said that I wanted to refund the warranty which they begrudgingly did. After leaving Kay I walked across to Devon's Jewelers and spoke with "Ed" who was more than happy to remove the link from my wife's watch for NO CHARGE. Here's the best part, Devon's is not even a Movado dealer and was able to make the adjustment to my wife's watch within 2 minutes or less for FREE. I will NEVER make another purchase from Kay Jewelers in Tracy, CA or anywhere else for that matter due to the lack of proper customer service skills and just a general lack of concern to keep anyone as a customer. I cut my Kay account card up at the store including a $200.00 voucher I had from the watch purchase that I had planned to use for Christmas shopping there. I also spoke with Kay Corporate customer service who just wanted to make excuses for their employees instead of handling the problem. I do feel sorry for the one young lady who sold me the watch (sorry I do not have her name) she was very nice and was very helpful. She has to work with staff like "Jolina" unfortunately. read more

I had such a bad experience with the Stockton Kay that I was very, VERY skeptical about returning to this business. I decided to give it another shot. Must say 100% best service ever. With sales going on, rewards and discounts, my fiance and I got my engagement ring 50% off!! Add our wedding bands and everything came out to such a good price. KUSHMA was soooooooo helpful and nice. She sized us, told us SO much info the Stockton Kay denied us and gave us as many discounts as she could. I couldnt be happier w my ring and band. My fiance feels the same. The ladies that work at the counter have been super friendly and polite each time I have walked in with my mom. I placed an order for a wedding ring which they did not have in stock but the girls were able to place an order for me and get if shipped out to me asap. They also were able to check the sizing on another ring that I had brought from home. Super nice of them. Definitely will be coming back to this location. read more
