We went lunch for the first time. Just to ensure Their food is good we tried an avocado roll and hot Saki. I thought it was rolled too tight and rice was dense. Flavor was okay. Giving benefit of the doubt to the chef we ordered a Caterpillar roll and was wowed. With that great taste we ordered more to take home. The hot Saki is very good. The chef came over to talk to us and that meant a lot!! He explained just how he went wrong on the avocado roll. He's fairly new and learning. We will definitely go back! Our service was great. 5 stars for the sushi rolls, (unfortunately not always available.) 1 star for the hibachi. Way too expensive and not good. 20 bucks for chicken flavored gum. Chew it for the flavor and spit into a napkin because it doesn't break down. What they call "yum yum sauce" was basically mayonnaise and ketchup mixed. Not the delicious light pink sauce you find in most Japanese steakhouses. Google the correct recipe guys! It's simple! The only reason they don't get one star is the miso soup and the ginger salad dressing are both on point. That said, I'm not paying 20 bucks for the sides. read more

We've been here a few times, even ordered out. W very time it's always been okay. But the last time we will never step foot in there again. We ordered two Long Island and the server came back with a whiskey mix of some sort and olives as a topping. I politely asked if we could get something else because this wasn't a Long Island and we could tell she really didn't know how to make drinks. So we ordered a Vodka cranberry. I asked if she has titos and she said no but I could come look at what she had over at the bar. I walked but and showed her she did have Tito's. She then prepares our drinks under the bar line. And says she will bring them right out. We start drinking them and my friend instantly says it doesn't taste like a normal drink I totally agreed. Anyways we drank them paid and left. Ate here while driving though town. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Other reviews said it was over priced but it did not cost more than any hibachi place I've been too. It's in a small town of Alabama I'm not sure what people expected but it was a very quaint restaurant and I would recommend it to people passing through. read more

Best restaurant in Andalusia. I am from out of town and am staying here all summer, this is an amazing hibachi and sushi restaurant. The sushi tastes amazing and fresh. I love the seaweed salad and steamed Gyoza. I'm excited there is a great Japanese place in small town Alabama :) read more

I came here cause my boyfriend family said this is the best place around this area, but once coming here with my boyfriend we both ordered sushi rolls the White Russian & Andalusia which tasted adequate but you could yell the fish was not fresh it tasted like it's been out for awhile. After that we ordered Thai curry chicken & yakisoba shrimp stir fry noodles which was just awful! Not only did it taste awful it looked awful too the Thai curry was watery & the chicken was super dry & plain. The yakisoba noodles had a weird taste that was just off putting, I don't care if there's nothing else around just don't come here. This place is just expensive to begin with, for the poor quality of the food & how it comes out there's no way it should cost that much. You can go to other habachi's that cost less & taste 100% better. Please don't waist your time here!! read more

The sushi is good but the waitresses and hostess don't belong anywhere near a restaurant. Hostess sat my family without menus. Both waitresses took over 10 minutes to bring us a tea and water. If you havent had hibachi anywhere else, you will enjoy it.The food was adequate, but the prices are much higher than I have paid for hibachi anywhere else - even in Atlanta! The wait was very long but the service was good. The staff was friendly and the chef entertaining. I took my daughter, her husband, and two boys 15, and 12 from Wetumpka out to eat at your place December 23, 2019 for dinner. I live in Andalusia and they love Japanese Steaks. We ordered 4 filet mignons and one steak and chicken. The steaks had no taste at all, like eating cardboard for the most expensive steak you can buy. The rice also had no taste. I complained about there being no taste and all I got was I'm sorry as I paid my bill with tax and tip for $210. I called the next day to speak to a manager and she said the steaks were supposed to be cooked with soy sauce, which they weren't. She also said they had run out of rice and had to cook more which was a disgrace to be served in your place I am sure. All I got from her again was I'm sorry. This place is great when you sit at the hibachi. It is very entertaining and the food is good. I did not love it as much when we sat at a normal table. I have stopped in and just bought some of their honey mustard dressing to take home and put on salad. It is Awsome. read more
