Second time coming here and loved it again so decided to write a review. It's a small restaurant and all the drawings on the walls are done by the owner. The service was fantastic and the food was flavorful. Plus once you're finished eating you can walk right next door and grab yourself some Asian groceries.

"Pork ramen" aka $0.25 instant ramen pack sold for $12.

I have no idea how this place has good reviews. I have been to Japan and grew up around Japanese culture, eating amazing foods etc. I know what Japanese food is supposed to look like and this wasn't it. First the tako yaki. They use the frozen kind, and that's ok. Except the actual tako/ octopus was still frozen in the center. Not cold, it was frozen. The "Pork Ramen" was terrible. THEY USED A $0.25 INSTANT RAMEN PACK!!!! I have never seen a restaurant use instant ramen packs... The broth had no flavor, there was barely anything in the the noodles, half an egg that was still cold and a few tiny pieces of pork/ tonkatsu. I've had better instant ramen... I will never be back. This isn't it. Service was fine.

I was impressed with several elements of the food here. I loved my katsu curry. I ordered it level 4 spicy out of 5. It was flavorful but not too spicy. Next time I'm going to 5! It came with a miso soup, a salad, and some pickled radish. The soup was fine, and the radish was delicious. In my opinion the salad was pretty plain and it needed something, such as cucumbers or a few other toppings. I liked the ginger dressing. The curry was rich and cooked to a perfect consistency. The rice and cutlet was just the right amount of food to be full but not uncomfortable. The chef is also a fantastic artist. There is art all over the walls. Unique and beautiful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Pretty eclectic decor inside this restaurant. Beautiful etchings made by the chef are prominently displayed. Had the chicken tonkatsu, gyoza, and miso soup. The gyoza's outer shell was rock hard though. Will probably return to try other items. Service was fast as I was the only customer at 6:30 pm.

This was our first time dining here for lunch and it was amazing! The gyoza was yummy and we tried takoyaki for the first time- it was very good! My husband and I ordered the spicy ramen, with pork for our entrees. The soup was hot and sooo delicious. The service was lovely and the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. We will absolutely be back, it's a must to eat here if you're stationed at Ft. Rucker or are in the Daleville area!! GO! You won't be disappointed!

Absolutely wonderful restaurant from genuine & welcoming owners to stellar, authentic dishes. The food is always presented beautifully, & it all tastes as delicious & fresh as it looks! The restaurant itself is extremely clean & has a welcoming, homey atmosphere. Every visit to this restaurant is as equally good as previous visits! Also, the owners are not only excellent cooks, but they are also skilled artists & musicians! (The art on the restaurant walls is done by the husband!) Cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

Delicious! Fresh! Filling! Clean! Quick and excellent customer service!! What a wonderful place to have in the area. Authentic Japanese fare with a simple but well executed menu. Husband has already been twice this week. We'll be back soon!

The chef/owner love drew the picture of his grandson, which I think it is so cute.

*edit* I appreciate the owner/manger clarifying what we ordered. My boyfriend did not order the regular pork cutlet which is very crispy. So that's our mistake. So keep in mind, I live in Atlanta and I've been to Japan. I rated it a 4 based on its location and availability. Coming here was pretty easy, we were coming down to Daleville, Al for a wedding. My boyfriend and I have been curious in trying this place because - my boyfriend grew up here and when there is something new, of course he is curious. And there is nothing like this before in the area. Japanese food that isn't your typical sushi and hibachi. That is fantastic they didn't because it is getting old. We got here on Thursday and they already have a few patrons in the building. I heard one saying that they have been craving this place for awhile - so that's a good sign. The art around the building was very cute. The owner/chef hand painted all of the art around. And I really like lighting accent. Each light fixture screen had various flowers on them. Location is very clean. The manager came and took our order. I got the pork ramen and my boyfriend got the pork cutlet. They were pretty fast in taking our order. I liked the taste of the miso soup that comes with the cutlet. The ramen overall was okay, but there was an issue in cooking the noodles and the manager came to apologize, because they forgot to fry the pork, which I really appreciate the honesty. It still tasted fine. My boyfriend's cutlet breading was actually soggy. So he was disappointed. We think the salad on the dish made the pork soggy, because it was very watery. Mine was in a soup - so I didn't have the issue, because I expected it. If the pork looks like a slight tint in color- don't worry about it, they said it is due to the cut of pork and that it is fully cooked. I liked the pickled radish. It was sweet. My soup was okay. I didn't get it spicy, so I feel like I missed out in flavors. After the meal, the owner came to greet us, which I think is sweet. I think overall, you should try this place. This gives you the most authentic Japanese food that isn't so Americanized, which I'm so tired of. Especially for the area, I think they will do very well.

By far the best Japanese cuisine I've had in a long time. My only complaint is that I didn't discover this wonderful place sooner.
