I have been a SDCCU member for over 30 years. With its growth over those years there were a few growing pains for sure. But, SDCCU has never let us down whenever we needed to interact with them; being it a loan of any kind where we selected them, dealing with issues related to our checking or savings accounts, fraud crap on our accounts, wire transfers, trust conversion, etc. I chose this specific SDCCU as I have been frequenting it, by far, the most of any branch over the past nearly 20 years (as recently as the other day). I rarely have ever set actual foot in the actual building itself, as the wife tends to most matters, because their online banking is fairly easy to navigate. The employees at this bank branch have always been courteous, helpful, quick and efficient. So, for a bank branch I give this branch my 5 star rating (as good as it gets). read more

You cannot blame COVID-19 Super disappointed to say the least. I have been a member for over 20 years with personal banking and a business banking customer since 2007. The saying, "when you are in a bad spot, you learn who your friends are" and now I know SDCCU can care less about its business customers. As a part of the CARES act business customers with banks can receive payroll assistance as a loan from the government to stay open and not have your staff on unemployment. All banks are telling us we are helping our current customers first. So, because SDCCU decides it doesn't want to participate, we are stuck. A manager at this bank said he did not even know about it, but they can help on current loans. All while sitting at a desk with a mask on? Again, when you need help, you find out who you want to do business with! When I find the answer I will update this post. They will no longer make 5% off my money for following an illegal mandate Went in today and the mask police worker told me to mask up. I pulled another 10k and also paid off a car for 30k, these woke banks don't get it ! I've been a Sdccu member for over twenty years and never had a negative experience until two weeks ago. I decided to use their atm machine to deposit my check. The atm ate my check and I called customer service and a few days later they deposited the check. Well, almost two weeks later they took the check back and now I have a negative balance. I called customer service and they said the funds would be available the following day, didn't happen. If you are in a situation where you have to call them you will NEVER get through. There are a few things that you can't do online. I love the local feel of credit unions, not like those big commercial banks. They have co-op networks which provide tons of ATM options, and they have a live chat to chat with reps if you don't want to wait on the phone to speak with someone. This SDCCU in Temecula is the same across the board as all of the other branches. The tellers provide good service and assist you with all your financial needs. I've always had my savings and checking at this credit union, but decided to finally get a loan. I was assisted by *Jeanie* who was efficient at helping me with the auto loan process. I can not understand why this bank has ANY good reviews! I came to this bank by recommendation because I has having some (now seemingly minor) issues with my bank at the time. I was assured that SDCCU had fantastic service. HA! What a joke! It has been one fee after another! 1. They don't send you any notices if you forget an auto draft. They just pay it immediately and charge a fee. No pending time to give you the opportunity to put cash in, just oh well for you. Don't want the payment to go through? Well, they just charge the same fee every time it hits your account. So then you end up with an unpaid bill for $10, submitted multiple times, with a $27 fee per submission 2. Mobile banking is HORENDOUS! I frequently have to log in multiple times on the mobile app, then it takes multiple attempts to use the mobile deposit. I don't always have access to my car and as I work nights and dont live or work near a branch anymore, it's rarely possible for me to deposit my checks manually. At this point, it's a toss up whether my deposit will glitch and then I'm SOL, I now have multiple deposits of the same check. Or, it just won't accept the deposit at all so I have to wait till the next day. But oh ya, my bill coming out the next day is now going to be charged a fee BECAUSE I COULDN'T DEPOSIT MY CHECK! 3.Now we're calling customer service, but where's the phone number?? You have to dig through the website to find the hidden number, otherwise you have to use a chat service, that's not compatible with your mobile device. Finally you reach someone, only to be informed that there is no record of this issue, implying I'm making it up, and that no fees can be reversed because there mobile service glinting is not is not a CU error. So sorry.... So, don't waste your time. SDCCU is not there for you. They don't care if their system is jank, and they don't care if you deposit money 10 mins after a payment goes through. I mean, it's never their fault, so screw you. read more

I had several unauthorized purchased going through my checking account and stopped in to the Temecula branch of SDCCU. I was warmly greeted by Elondra at the front desk. I explained my situation to her and she happily assisted me to clear the unauthorized purchases. She also issued me a new card that will omit anymore fraudulent purchases.
