Honestly, some of the one-star reviews did not deter me from reaching out to Mike and setting up a $40 ghost hunting experience with him. I am truly grateful he had the tools I didn't have so we could have an amazing ghost hunting experience. He knows what he is doing. His expert advice also helped me learn new tricks as a new amateur ghost hunter. This tour was not all about the history of the place and more focused on ghosts and ghost hunting which truly delighted me. During our hunt he gave us many opportunities to ask questions. We were disappointed we did not see more ghosts... however, that wasn't the fault of our host who let us in parts of the Cosmopolitan that the public does not have access to. Highlight of the hunt was finding a ghost on the SLS reader and "touching" it. Mike we loved you and this amazing adventure.

Family time Ghost Hunting w/our tour guide!

Our family went to old town and saw the sign for Old Town Ghost Hunting at 7pm. So, we decided to go for it! And we are glad we did. As San Diego natives, we had such a fun time learning about the history of Old town and going to some haunted places. The guide, Michael, was great and answered all of our kids questions! Super family friendly, would highly recommend to all of our family and friends. Also super affordable! We will be back soon! Thanks Michael

Who's behind me wearing a suit?!?! Crazy cool! Best evidence we've captured to date. Thanks Michael!!

My husband, son, and I decided to take this tour our last night in town. I'm familiar with tours and can easily tell the difference between "smoke and mirrors" and authentic ghost hunting from someone passionate about the field. Michael was professional and extremely knowledgeable. His experiences were intriguing. When we arrived to the Hotel (our final stop) he told us some personal stories and showed us evidence that other customers acquired during his tours. I received several EVP's at this location and my husband snapped an amazing photo. Michael has a legitimate gift to sense/see spirits. He had us touch spirits he could see. When he had A spirit touch my shoulders he simultaneously had my son run his hand through the location. He left the room and told my husband I was having an experience. My husband came in shortly after and snapped this picture. The only people in the room were myself, my son in front of me, another man from the tour sitting in a chair behind me ( you can see the top of his cap) and my husband taking the picture. There was nobody on the tour wearing a suit!! I highly recommend this tour. Spirits do not always show themselves, but just because you can't see them doesn't mean they aren't there. Trust Michael. He knows what he's doing. BTW..... I think we converted a skeptic or two

At the last minute (4 pm) we decided to call about a tour (for 7 pm same night) and Michael accommodated me and my husband. He knew a lot of history of the old town area which my husband particularly enjoyed and of possible ghost sightings which I particularly enjoyed. We ended at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and although its restaurant was closed (due to lack of staffing due to COVID), he has permission to go inside. It was really spooky because it was so empty of people. The old small cemetery was also a great find. To hear the story about how the city paved over gravesites and then placed markers to indicate the grave site was interesting.

We took this tour on a whim while we were in town for spring break. Michael was very accommodating as we decided to leave Petco Park early to do this and got a little slowed down by the light rail. We also contemplated if the kids would enjoy this (ages 7). Our group, 8 of us total, had a blast. The tour was very informative, especially when it. Ame to explaining things from a historical standpoint. Michael was awesome explaining the paranormal to our kids (who have never seen any kind of ghost hunter stuff), and really included them on the tour. The tour included walking from the historical old town, to the whaley house (did not get to go in), to the cemetery. At the cemetery, Michael explained the grave site markers, and the vortex. From the cemetery, we walked to the Cosmo. We were allowed to freely roam the Cosmo with the EMF device for a good hour. Michael showed us diffetent techniques to sense the spirits. The kids absolutly loved it, as did the adults. This tour jump started my kids wanting to ghost hunt all week. I would definitly take this tour again.

I called 30 minutes before the 7pm tour on Friday and reserved a spot for my husband and I. We walked through Old Town and Michael our guide told us about the history and some paranormal activity. The best part and the reason this tour is 5 stars, we went into the Cosmopolitan Hotel where he gave us time to walk through and take photos/videos. At one point of the tour I felt a heaviness and goosebumps around my legs. Michael said a little boy was visiting. Everyone in our tour definitely felt something. Towards the end we were all standing around the bar area when my husband sees a black shadow walking past in another room. At that point everyone was in the room with us and we knew he saw a ghost!! We all went to investigate and no one was over there! He was shaking from what he saw! It was the coolest experience! I'm definitely coming back!

Best tour ever! Al was the best tour guide. Not only did he keep it interesting but very entertaining. I ended up getting some video footage of paranormal activity. I caught an orb on my phone which I posted on here. Highly recommend to everyone!!

Spooky , historical, and fun. Not sure if anything was real or just us getting caught up in the stories and the atmosphere when we said we felt the spirits when he said they were around. Not scary more for the ghost hunting /adventure watchers wanting to do the what you see them doing on TV. Although I do believe my friend when he said he did feel the ghost cat rub against his leg and I did get a picture that was pretty eerie . The best part of the tour was the cemetery and hearing about the unmarked graves and the history of San Diego. The tour into the Cosmo was very entertaining and fun . We felt like real ghost hunters. Mike was great and pick his brain he knows a lot about the history of the city and hot spots. Heads up though if you are on the 11 pm tour when you get done it is about 130 AM, we had Uberd to the location and while we were waiting to be picked up it was very quiet we were all alone and a ghostly black and white presence appeared .....no it wasn't the undead but a huge skunk that came right up to us . That was actually the scariest part of our night lol. Go , you will have fun ! Go in with and open mind and just enjoy it for what it is.

We started about 9:30 AM, and our first Guide, NAMED JACK. He had been a disaster/guide for some 10 Years. He was very, very good. When we walked on, there were two orange cones on the two front seats. We had waited to sit in the front seat!!! As we boarded, JACK just sat on the benches, not noticing my walker!!! I finally got the front seat, but my partner stayed seated behind me. GUIDE JACK took us as far as Seaport Village, but interesting enough, at the stop before, he had us all share our stories. NICE TOUCH. We wanted bagels at SPILL THE BEANS, but at 10 AM they were OUT OF BAGELS. Ridiculous. I don't remember the name of the Driver/Guide, who took us from Seaport Village to Coronado. In Coronado, we walked to the Hotel del Coronado. I first used the RR, beautiful white marble. I then took the metal elevator in the lobby to the Second Floor, and went out the balcony. We, My Partner and I, met up again the INTERIOR COURTYARD. We left the hotel to walk to GELATO PARADISO on Orange Avenue. On the way there, we saw the famous L FRANK BAUM HOUSE, the writer of the Wizard of Oz. It is a yellow house. UNFORTUNATELY, they did not know how to use the COUPON in the OT Trolley Brochure. Other than that, the GELATO WAS DELICIOUS!!! I had Raspberry and Lemon. We took the OT Trolley back to Old Town. We had one last Driver/Guide, NAMED LUIS. He was very thorough, but very matter of fact. We returned to OLD TOWN, 2 Hours after BEGINNING!!!

It really is a great way to get a lot of information about the city. The trolley is hop on/hop off - which means that they stop so that you can get off the train and go do whatever. It probably stops anywhere you want to go anyway (Balboa Park/Zoo, Coronado, and even the Midway), so you might as well do it on a guided tour! These tours are all professionally done and the drivers are safe and friendly. They've got daytime tours and evening tours - in San Diego, they've got SEAL tours and night time City Lights and Ghosts and Gravestones tours. We did the Holiday Lights tour a couple of years ago (the *only* thing I didn't like about that is that it was a sing-a-long, but that made my sister happy so it made me happy). I highly recommend the Trolley Tours! Thank you for reading my review.

Whether you're a local or visiting San Diego this is a really fun activity on the weekend with yummy drinks and good vibes. Originally we were booked for a 10:30am tour that goes out to watch the sea lions out on the bay, unfortunately not enough people booked that one so it was cancelled. Even though our original plan was cancelled Tiki Time Tours went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience and not only complimentary upgraded our tickets to a more expensive tour, they also gave our party a free round of drinks for the inconvenience! I think this speaks a lot about a company; anyone can be happy with customer service when everything goes according to plan, but the most important times to step up is when plans get cancelled/changed and that's exactly what they did for us! Instead of the sea lion tour we ended up doing the Tiki Live! tour at 3pm. This tour is about 2 hours and while you're out on the water you mingle with everyone else and play games that can win prizes for yourself, your party or the whole boat! The games were fun, interactive and silly. At some points we got close enough to shore and made people on land be a part of our games! Donny was our tiki tour master and he was really funny during the whole tour. In between games he just let the music play so we could enjoy the atmosphere and drinks. My entire group left with nothing but great things to say about the whole experience. My friend even won a free tour for another time so we will definitely be returning for more tiki fun.

Tickets were around $47 per person for a 2hr water tour around the Bay in a boat decorated in tiki decor. For tourist this tour is great with a ton of fun information about San Diego and stunning views in the water. Minimum 8 people on the boat or there may be cancellation of the tour. PAY ATTENTION TO DETAILS. The guide will have some friendly trivia for a chance to win good cash prices, free drinks, gift cards, etc I think that was pretty fun to include in while getting a tour. If you are sensitive to getting seasick, I would recommend a Dramamine beforehand. Although the boat was spacious, it still felt the wakes from the other boats and you can go rocking. In addition there were slow times of moving and turning. Or you can just chuck down a few drinks and feel numb to it all! They have a Tiki Bar with a drink menu (no food) to purchase from and if you bring snacks to eat - you can't eat it on the boat. Drinks were good but their "house" made shots were pretty good! We had a couple rounds of those while on tour - paid round by a passenger or a free shot in the house by the staff. The awkward but not so awkward would be mingling with other folks on the boat that you don't know. One of my friends kept interjecting with another party and while they seem to not mind I could tell they were being polite but if it were me I'd probs be annoyed if someone kept interjecting while I'm having a good time with my friends. Although we all got along and occasionally shared cheers with shots. Luckily the boat was near empty with just a few of us to have some space to do your thing. Overall, nice little 2hr time in the water. Would highly recommend the later session to catch the sunset. Until the next review....
