The instructor here (Sandra) is amazing. She knows what she is doing and she invests in all her students. There are other instructors as well here and they all focus on the students and truly help them learn the true meaning of karate. My daughter is 4 going on 5 and she is enjoying karate a lot. I watch her practice once a week, and I can see here growing here. The students here are all very sweet to one another. It's like a little family! My daughter has learned a lot here and I'm excited. Jacob has learned self-control, when to listen, when to speak, sportsmanship, and perseverance. I'm not sure if that time was just for trials because there was only 1 other kid there. He talked down to the kids and refused to teach them if they were not doing it the EXACT way he was. He kept looking at me and saying see? See? See what I mean? NO SIR! I do not see what you're saying. My kid is doing as you asked! My kid wanted to take a break and he goes yeah go sit out. When my son was ready to come back, he said no he can't participate anymore. He said this is why I don't teach anyone under 5 because they don't know how to listen. Excuse me? MEN still don't know how to listen, so maybe they shouldn't be allowed to do anything either?!?! I have never encountered an instructor for little kids that was that impatient. What a total waste of my time.
