Shan is one of the best physical therapists I've ever had. She has a way of working her magic & I always leave feeling better than when I walked in. She's knowledgeable, kind, reassuring, & genuinely funny, which makes a big difference during recovery. I will miss her when I'm done. It it were possible to give this women zero stars I would my friend came home from her appointment incredibly upset after being told she was fat, that she was too young to possibly have arthritis and that pretty much her problems were bullshit. My friend has never been treated so bad and as someone who is an owner she should have better courtesy and respect and some compassion. Your not the doctor you haven't seen the X-rays and you don't know the hell shes been through. She had no right to belittle my friend and tell her she needed to skip meals and make her feel like she's faking all of the pain and suffering she's been in for over a year now. I loved this place as soon as I walked in I was greeted with the sweetest smile by the receptionist Alicia she was so sweet and so helpful and I always look forward to my appointments because of how friendly she is. The people that work there are all so nice and friendly and really helped me to learn ways to deal with my back pain. Karen was so nice in teaching me ways to help with my back pain without any pain. I also had the pleasure of meeting Marvin Eric and Alison who are the sweetest people and I love the feel of the place because honestly they all seem like a happy work family. Quality care provided by compassionate therapists with wonderful personalities! Kendra and Allison were the best! After going to another physical therapist (who told me I had a torn rotator cuff without any real evaluation), I decided to try Advanced Physiotherapy. On my very first visit, Kendra did a comprehensive and detailed evaluation, informing me that I had tendinitis of the shoulder. Boy, was I relieved. Allison was gentle but firm in working out my shoulder issues. In no time at all, my range of motion was back. They were so good, I came back to them for my ankle and my back! They were firm when it was needed but gentle if the situation called for it. There was a lot of laughter and you could tell they enjoy working with their clients. Try them! I can't say enough great things about this facility, especially regarding the staff. When I first came here, I was coming off almost half a year of poor diagnosis/treatments for a broken ankle and had already been to several other Physical Therapy clinics such as Spine and Sport and Sharp Grossmont Outpatient PT where everyone I encountered was inattentive and almost robotic-like in their cookie-cutter methodology, which infected their treatment process from the inception where during initial evaluations they would fail to listen to any concerns, dismissing all notions that their personal diagnosis of the problem (after having spent 5 minutes with you) was anything less than perfect. The final straw was when one of Sharp's "Senior" Physical Therapists attempted to imply that my symptoms were psychosomatic and that I needed to "man up". Suffice to say I never went back. Upon researching all available facilities I was fortunate enough to find Michele's office and initially met with Dana for my evaluation. I was relieved to discover that they ACTUALLY listened to what I had to say and customized my treatment plan around the best course of action, given my circumstances. I should mention that I'm a patient whose ultimate goal was to recover as much as possible, regardless of the potential pain and effort that might be involved. I am NOT someone who simply goes through the motions, hoping that by doing the bare minimum, great things will come. A little after I began treatment I began to notice certain limitations that were not improving and after contacting my Dr. and insisting something was wrong an MRI later it turns out that my initial diagnosis was wrong and that I was in need of surgery. (It should be noted that ALL of my prior PT clinics did not hesitate to tell me that nothing was wrong with my lack of progress EXCEPT for Advanced Physiotherapy.) After my first surgery I met with Allison (am I spelling that right?) who was phenomenal and actually took the time to explain why I needed to perform certain exercises and how they would help me recover. I also met with Karen who is amazing also, who was incredibly patient with me (as were they all) as I have a tendency to be impetuous and a bit reckless when it comes to over-doing it with exercise. Later on it turned out I would require another surgery (this time performed by my 2nd and current orthopedist Dr. Collins- who is the best btw) after Dana and I noticed that the implant and screws in my ankle were becoming a problem and after that surgery I was back in the care of Allison and Janae (who are both unbelievably sweet, so sorry if I'm misspelling names guys) who managed to put up with me far longer than I could have imagined and thanks to everyone there I was able to make a tremendous amount of progress and am now on my own and am far better off than anyone anticipated after having had such a controversial start to recovery. Thanks again guys and sorry this took me so long to post. I am indebted to you all and for those looking for THE BEST physical therapy on this side of San Diego, I highly recommend this place to anyone whose ultimate goal is to get better and to be as healthy as possible. read more

Such a wonderful clinic! First thing I noticed was how clean everything is, the staff were super friendly and welcoming. While I was waiting to be seen they had complimentary coffee which I loved. My daughter needed help for hip pain, but she had the most upsetting experience The receptionist was very rude after seeing my grandson cry, and told her they may not to receive her if she did not quiet him.She was planning to have her son leave with he husband once she was in. Instead, she decided to leave due to rude, inappropriate, unkind comments the receptionist and another member of the staff. So disappointed that the Therapist allows people to be treated that way. My daughter was really hurt about that experience, cried all the way home and could not receive the care she needed. I guess if you can stay really quiet and not bring children in, you might get serviced here. read more

This was a horrible experience. I went in with my mom for her first appointment and never went back. The therapist who come to find out is the owner was so horrible. The first thing she asked my mother was why she didn't speak enough english. "You live in the United states you should know english." Needless to say it all went down hill from there. She did not bother to acknowledge that I was there as an interpreter, had her back to us the entire time and kept asking my mother questions and trying to make her answer in english, of course my mom tried but certain words she couldn't say. This wasn't the worse thing that happened though, this lady kept pushing knee surgery on my mom, when that was never even discussed as an option with her Primary doctor. She brought it up several times even telling her that the exercises she would show her were for after she has surgery! If surgery was an option we wouldn't be trying PT lady! I think the worst part was when she finally turned around and looked at me and realized I was wearing scrubs. She asked me what I did and where I worked, when I told her I was an office manager for a family practice her attitude changed completely. Too late, first impressions are everything. I would hate to think how she treats others, being that her business is located in an area with such diversity, mexican, latinos, chaldean, arabic, etc. I called my mom's doctor that same day to get PT switched and luckily found a great facility in Santee. read more
