I seen a few reviews about too many veggies mixed in the meat, not a problem, not even too much juice on the meat. Blue tortillas always good for dodger parties. Some really great menudo is served here and it's available daily. On this visit I also tried their house tortillas, pan dulce and bollios. Their mini pan dulce was delish, but at a dollar each, seemed a bit pricy. Bollios were great at around $0.50 each and pack of tortillas a bargain at around $2.50. Definitely will be back for menudo and tortillas! Will have to try their regular size pan dulce and see if they are priced any better :) read more

Ordered two de cabeza, two of barbacoa, and one of lengua. When I was charged, the total seemed incorrect. I reviewed the receipt and I was charged the regular price of $2.40 per taco. When I asked the cashier, she said the special $1.79 was for select meats--none of which I ordered. I told her that the menu should say that not all tacos are $1.79, or even a note, "select meats." She said it always changes. Even so, it very misleading. I'm sure this happens often enough that they should post something and NOT just say, "Taco Tuesday $1.79". Came here to get some meat for grilling, close to me new place. They have a nice variety of meats marinated and non marinated. What caught my eye was some cuts of wagyu beef and huge tomahawk steaks. I'll have to come back for those at a later time. What I did purchased today was a few pounds of marinated short ribs and several pounds of marinated boneless chicken. When we got home we grilled them on our gas grill. The ribs were so flavorful and the chicken was so juicy and delicious as well. We will come back for short ribs and chicken for sure. We picked up some of the prepared guacamole which was delicious and not spicy. Also got the cutest mini pan dulce, which was delicious. I Recommend you get done on the way out. We found this market about 2 years ago and there is no other market that comes close to this one. Their tasajo meat is the best. Oh! This last time we were there we got 2 lbs of the marinated chicken and it was very good too. The people there are nice and friendly. All my boxes checked off when it comes to their carne asada and taco meat: High quality meat, check. Best tasting marinade, check. Friendly service, check.. Their meats (flap and taco) are top notch quality and their marinade, in my opinion, is superior to others. It's always fresh.. Their service is great. Their marinaded chicken meat is very good and the price point on their chicken is much easier on the wallet. Also, they have a good variety of salsas in their fridge that are very tasty. The only negative and the reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is due to their price hikes during Holidays: Their prices appear to surge during: Mother's Day, Father's Day, 4th of July etc: At close to $16 a lb during these holiday weekends: I'd much rather get filet mignon at that price point- Just saying. read more

Both salsas were made in house , and outstanding. Shrimp taco had two prawn size shrimp, not the small ones you get everywhere else! The batter was good, but a little too much of it. Plenty of parking. Excellent, friendly, welcoming service. First time here. Often work down the street but never thought to stop. Will definitely be back. Yelp 100 Challenge 2017 - #19/100 Don't be put off by the unassuming exterior, you'll regret not checking this place out like me. I've been passing this corner store for the longest time. I finally shrugged off my apprehension and went in. It's a nice little meat market that sells fresh fruits and vegetables as well as Mexican bread too. Haven't bought their meat so I'll reserve that review for later when I'm coming back in the summer for the fresh prepared meats. It'll be the perfect weather for barbecues outdoor. I ordered 3 tacos: carne asada, carnitas, and pastor, they're $1.39 each +tax. I decided to have my meal for dine in. They have about 5-6 tables strategically placed against the wall and the counter that closes off the kitchen. Patrons come through the door and pass those tables on either side. While waiting for my food they gave me complimentary chips and salsa. I enjoyed all three tacos, they literally piled on the meats. I started off with the carnitas, it was lightly seasoned but the onions, cilantro, lime, and roasted jalapeño made up for it. The carne asada was so good, not as good as KT but a close second though. The most flavorful was the pastor, by then I was a bit full so I only ate half the taco and saved it for later. As mentioned earlier, they pile the meats on, so I was scooping them up with the chips which made me realize that I could get the nachos with meat next time I visit. The only minor issue was that the onions were rough chopped so there were some pieces that were way too big to enjoy on the tacos. The kitchen is open from 8am to 750pm (said the nice lady behind the counter). Wish they were open later though. You can call in your orders and pick up when ready. Street parking is available as well as more spots behind the store. I didn't know how to get to it because of the work they're doing on Earl street. Never knew this market was so close to home. Stopped by yesterday to pick up some prime ranchera and wagyu ranchera to try. Current pricing is higher than any pics posted. Prime $13.99 per lb. Wagyu $24.99 per lb as of 9/23/21. The seasoning was spot on for me but maybe a little salty for some. Prime is pre-marinated and wagyu is hand cut to order and marinated for free. The prime is already tender compared to most ranchera I've purchased before but the wagyu... wow! Tender like outside skirt steak (which I haven't found at any market only had at restaurants). Once my family tasted the wagyu ranchera they didn't want to eat the prime. I also got 2 links of chorizo. One of the links was good but the other had a very sour smell once we cut it so we disposed of it just in case. Definitely will be back. read more

She spoke to them in English and one of the Men said to the other Man "Oh I have to learn how to speak her language, because this is her country." WTH was that about? These ppl are Racist!!!! We found this spot thru IG, so we made the trip to try it out, they had a section for better cuts like the wagyu flap meat $19.99 lb , they also had prime ranchera for $11.99lb , prime short ribs and many more cuts. I knock off 2 star because the service counter butcher was bothered when we asked pricing questions on some of the meats, we then ordered the prime steak and he asked us with attitude and a tone how thin or thick we wanted the steak, then instead of asking us if we would like it marinated, he stated with a tone not marinated right!? Since we were there already we went ahead and spent $110 worth of steaks., Even though the meats were great and everyone in my group enjoyed them, due to the poor service that one butcher gave us, we would not be returning. There are many butchers shops out there, that go above and beyond and give A+ customer service. They do accept cc. They have parking lot in back They have hot food section. High quality carne asada. Went for some at it was 14.99/lb which is the average for good meat. They have tomahawk and wagyu cuts as well. Their conchas are superb and not dry. What's going on? Went there on Saturday and grabbed 5 lbs of ranchera prime. Something was off. It went from one of the best carnicerías to one of my least favorite. I ordered 5 lbs when I got home I realized it was a little bit of meat for 5 lbs. I grilled all the meat in the bag when I realized there was a whole lot of veggies in there. I weighed all the veggies that came along with the meat and it was about 1lb. You got to be kidding me. You charge $13 per lb and you gave me about 1 lb of veggies. Get out of here with this nonsense. The flavor wasn't there. The meat texture wasn't there anymore. Definitely not worth my time nor money. Would I give it another chance? Don't think so. Top notch meat like angus prime, wagyu and the marinated chicken is really good too. I was driving out to Bellflower for my asada, but not anymore. The chicharrones on the right of the meat case are always nicely done. They have everything you need for your carne asada from fresh produce, tortillas, birote, carbon to the salsa. They even have a little pan dulce and flan. The hot food is good too. I haven't tried the menudo but seen someone picking up in their olla if you like to get a lot for the family. I like how they keep they pan dulce (Mexican sweet bread) in huge warmers were it keeps the bread warm, soft and ready to snack on with coffee or a ice cold glass of milk . The staff there are amazing and if you don't have cash on you they also take card . Also their asada burritos from their kitchen menu are one of a kind!! Taste is great quality is bad they need to put effort into the way they cut the meat because its so inconsistent there will be a really thick side of the asada and the other end will be super thin and the cook comes out bad because of the sub par knife skills im more disappointed in the costillas I purchased because there very expensive and all they gave me was bones with only a couple that had meat on them. I called last minute and ordered some beans and rice to take to a family reception after a funeral. I was able to pick both up within the hour. I ordered large beans (feeds more than 40) and small rice (they said will feed 25, but it fed more). The beans were amazing! We also grabbed some of their packaged green and red salsa and while we are normally green salsa eaters, the red was fantastic! We don't live nearby, but we'll remember this place for sure! read more
