The completion date for my far was originally 12/1/2023-12/4/2023. I picked my car up 12/28/2023. It took 2 months for my car to be completed. When I came in and signed the paperwork for the estimate the only thing that was brought up was that the air bag module was back ordered. When in reality, for whatever reason, there was a problem getting the headliner delivered. Then they did not order enough air bag sensors so the completion date kept getting put off by a month. They then took it to Subaru and found out it also needed a seat belt. When it was done at Subaru I had to call myself to make sure it was done, then call SJ collision so they could go pick up my car. My car now has greasy finger prints on the drivers side interior door and A pillar. When I went to sign paper work I had questioned about the windows that are tinted because I figured they would be put into new doors. They said if they were to scratch to the tint they would get them re-tinted. There are 2 noticeable scratches on the passenger front glass. On the drivers side where there was no damage there is now a scratch on the door and scratched on the plastic covering on the rear fender. There was trash left in the very back and my wheel lock just thrown in there. The car also had the wax compound all over that I had to rub off myself. read more

Do not bring your car into this shop. Im on my second vehicle that ive brought to them , The first one just had minor bumper damage and i had to wait over a week for my insurance to call me and tell me it was declared as a total loss because damages cost more then the car is worth, So i bought another care and took it in for undercarriage damage and once again they are claiming total loss. The vehicle is in great condition and its going to cost 6000 dollars to repair but yet they want to just rather pay me out 10,000 instead of fixing the issue worth 6,000. Hello: My experience here was unpleasant. The moment I walked in I was instantly treated badly; the lady at the left side of the counter conversed with me in a condescending tone. I continued to keep my cool and from walking out. I was confused because I wanted to give them my business; furthermore, I was disgruntled from my car accident and instead of feeling welcomed she made me feel judged and unwanted. She belittled me in front of her co worker Allan by sarcastically pointing out my ignorance in filing claims. The estimate I was given from San Joaquin came out $1,232.86 more than there competitor down the street. I will be gladly taking my business to Neira's Collision Centers Inc. Neira's body shop was clean,organized and aesthetically pleasing and I was given a great customer experience. A simple conversation or attitude can drastically change the outcome of your business. My advice to this company is that you need to have a conversation with your employees on how to treat people especially people that are giving their money. I took my car to get it fixed due to an attempted theft and let me just say that I will NOT use SJC in the future. I had two issues that I brought up to the owner and he just didn't seem helpful at all. It was also extremely hard to get a hold of Dan or a repose from anyone. Took my truck in for collision repair on the bed. Had to take it back a second time because of poor workmanship. They left paint residue in the back of the bed and in the cab of the truck. They also didn't put the hitch back in the receiver. Which is still missing. Only went to them because of recommendation from Geico... which I found out later have their own office in the repair facility. I can still see imperfections in the repair but I'm tired of taking my truck there to only be disappointed. Estimator was very professional and personable, repairs to my wife's Acura were acceptable, however car was returned to us in filthy condition..... Their employees don't use paper floor mats and we had to pull out our vacuum when we got home to clean up their mess... The drivers side floor mat was a mess as well as the back seat and the cargo area .... Called to express my concern and was told the manager would call me..... Never did get a call... Word to this wise... Inspect both the inside and outside of the vehicle to insure your car is returned in proper condition......... San Joaquin Collison's contract with State Farm (my insurance) is to return the vehicle, cleaned inside and out and vacuumed... This was not done..... Also, their record keeping is a little scary...when I stopped by on my way home from work to check if the car might be done, I was told that my car had already been picked up, when it was still sitting in the shop.... read more

I recently was in an accident in a private parking lot. A girl decided it would be fun to back into my car as I was driving down the aisle to find a place to park. The accident was her fault, so my insurance company sided with me. Her insurance company sided with her, even with photo proof, so I decided to pay the deductible on my car. I set up the repair to be done at San Joaquin Collision because I have always heard great things about the shop. We arrive at the shop and things start out great. The staff seems friendly and we were in and out fairly quickly. The estimator said it would only take a "few days", and even after we said we figured it would take a week or longer he chuckled and said "no it won't take that long." Fast forward to almost two weeks later. My car still isn't done. After the estimator reviewed damages they set my date of completion for the 10th. I received a call that morning stating my car would be ready for pick up at 5:00pm. My husband took off early so he could pick the car up. I had an inkling feeling that I should call to make sure it was ready and when I called I was told it was not. Okay? I never received a call stating it wouldn't be ready, so I found that a little annoying. I did receive a text message stating it wouldn't be ready, but the text message came at 6:00pm. This text came one hour after the pick up time and thirty minutes after they closed. Convenient! Next day I get a call that it will "hopefully" be ready before they close. Well, hopefully doesn't sound promising at all. I waited around all day and eventually got fed up and emailed my insurance estimator. He calls me back and explains that they don't guarantee any specific day. Okay, well if that was the case, why have I been told day after day that it would be ready on this day at this time. Had I been told it wouldn't be ready for a week or more I would have just shelled out money and rented a car. I don't really have the money to do so, but I also need transportation to get my son to and from school. I understand that this is a body shop and they can't give me a set in stone date, that's fine. I just wish that they would have told me, after the thorough estimate, that it would be at least a week before I get my car back. I was led to believe that it would be a short process, but it has turned into an almost two week nightmare. Yeah, I used the word "nightmare" because trying to secure transportation every single morning to make sure your son makes it to school is an absolute nightmare. :\ Hopefully there won't be a next time, but if there is, I will most definitely be taking our vehicles elsewhere. I bumped a pole and called San Joaquin collision that morning. It wasn't anything huge just enough to be noticeable. I knew it wasn't worth getting insurance involved. I spoke to Steve and asked when I could get a estimate- he said anytime. I went straight there and we discussed to repair and said they could do it that day. It was such a relief to have something done instantly. I worked about 5 minutes away and he even offered to have a driver take me. By the time my work day was done the work was essentially done and no one would have ever known. Steve's promises were held I the end.
