Against my better judgement I did not seek out reviews on this unit I just assumed it would be like other units we rented in the past.. updated and well equipped. Two issues were especially disheartening particularly since we spent two weeks in the unit, the kitchen lacked essentials like pot holders and there was one worn out dish towel to use. The oven was filthy and the pots and pans were questionable. The mattress was comfortable enough but the bedding was particularly bad, the sheets and covers were worn and the pillows should have been replaced long ago. The area rug in the second bedroom was filthy and if not cleaned should be thrown out. The weirdest thing was all of the towels were wet when we arrived even extra ones that were put in a plastic bag in the closet. Needless to say we would not recommend this unit and will not be renting through MIRP in the future since they do not insist the owners keep up their units to a certain standard. Another issue was the elevator that served the building the unit we were staying in went out of order about two days into our stay and after reporting it twice and was told the owner will be notified we gave up and used a second elevator that was access for the adjoining building. On a positive note the unit did have a peekaboo water view and the access to the beach was very convenient. I would advise MIRP to suggest to the owner of 901 S Collier Blvd Unit 417 as Scott McGillivray of Vaction House Rules always says to "be your own guest" and they may understand how disappointing it was to stay in their unit.

I'm giving her a few more days to make us whole or I will have to contact our C.C. Company and file a Claim. Word of caution when dealing with this outfit beware you might have to go thru hell to collect your deposit as I have. One more thing. The owner should take lessons from her Employee " Maythe" who if it wasn't for her this experience would be much worse. " Never again will I use this Company " Maria, your nice response is a day or two late. I have proof that you've been having issues posting and returning "Security Deposits ". Let not go there !! Your nasty way of speaking to me on the telephone not allowing me to say a word is 100% unacceptable. What really got me going was when you said " This was not your PROBLEM " This is your problem. I dealt with your company. You accepted my payment. Therefore this is your problem. How dare you say " THIS IS NOT YOUR PROBLEM" I expect what is rightfully mine which is, my deposit. Period !! They also make you do all of the dishes and do all of the laundry as part of the checkout process. So the comforters are never cleaned and they aren't responsible for the dirty dishes in the cupboard? Lovely. We were continually cleaning dirty dishes from the previous guests and we wasted another day cleaning up and doing laundry at the end of our own visit. What, exactly, did we just pay for? Homeowners should question them as their management company and renters should stick with VRBO or AB&B.

I had to take it there myself, and ended up picking it up myself as well. They paid for it. I took another load on Friday, paid for it myself, thinking they would reimburse, they would not. They said "we had bills for over $500 for the laundry during the week...we hope you're okay paying the $37". (to be clear, 30+ towels were part of the laundry, so they paid to wash their own stuff) We paid over $5,000 for this "luxury stay" and basically lived like a cheap motel as it related to laundry. Very disappointing. Customer service is so easy. Customer disservice is even easier for Marco Escapes, it seems. Will not use them again...over a $37 bill that resulted from no washing machine.

I would like to know what the property manager/owner were doing for the 10 months before I got there to rent it? IMHO they had no intention of doing anything to get it in condition to match the listing. The property I rented is shown on the left side of the Yelp listing for this business, with a property address of 92 Buttercup Circle in Marco Island, Florida. While is APPEARED to look fine from the photos, it was NOT a "Dream Waterfront Retreat" by any far stretch of the imagination and what you did not know that was not good was not disclosed in the listing nor could it be seen in the photos. If they had listed its downsides, no one would rent it, especially for the amount of money they were asking for the 3 month rental rate. The best you could say about it is it is a 70% renovation in progress. It is also an old property that was built in the 60s. The two reviews of this particular property were from people who stayed only a week, and I had no idea what they paid. And, maybe they did not care about the quality of this property. One family had kids and perhaps they would not care about the quality, because children would not be able to damage anything. To be truthful, it hardly deserved a 5 STAR REVIEW unless you were blind. I complained shortly after arriving as I found things that were wrong and that I was not happy with. I asked for an adjustment in my rental rate commensurate with that fact it is was about 30% less than the listing indicated. Beachside Oasis DID admit to the things I complained about by telling me what they were going to do about them, including coming in on my dime and doing a demo of the bathtub in the master bathroom tub, which was all chipped, scratched and disgusting. You would not let your worst enemy take a bath in it. I am a bath person, so seeing it had a bathtub from the pictures meant a lot to me. If I had known the condition of the bathtub or the other things that follow, I would never have rented this property, period. The following are the other things that were wrong with the property that you could not know until you were there: 1. There were six sliding doors in this home and only 2 opened, the others were sealed shut. None of the windows opened and were also sealed shut. 2. Most of the cushions on the outdoor furniture were filthy dirty and needed to be replaced. 3. The master bathroom was all touched up with paint that did not match what was there and needed to be repainted. They told me it was scheduled for repainting after I left. 4. The master bedroom comforter was old, worn out and not high quality by any far stretch of the imagination. 5. The outdoor dining table needed to be painted or refinished. Whatever was on the surface was chipping off. 6. Chipped and crack floor tiles The business apologized for not meeting my expectations, but my expectations were created by their advertisement of this property. Plain and simple, they were Deceptive by Omission at best and Fraud in the Inducement at the worst, in my opinion. I asked for a reduction and refund of about 1/3 of my total rental price. They offered me a fraction of what I asked for in cash as well as a credit from the Agency for a future rental, and in exchange they wanted me to sign a non-disclosure agreement to not give them a bad review. I refused that offer. Why would I even consider a future credit with any agency that had been deceptive in their listing and expected me to rent from them again? This property was also listed on VRBO, and I thought that would offer me some protection; however, they do not do anything for you, so renters beware if believe VRBO will be helpful. And, you pay them for a number of things if you rent through their site to protect yourself in partnership with the property management company. What a joke. You will find online that VRBO will do nothing for you and give you nothing but the run around, adding to your frustration. Photos of the things that were not acceptable you cannot see from the listing photos. Some you cannot know don't operate or are not up to the standard as advertised until you are there. It is then too late and you are stuck with no recourse. VRBO may have moved me, but I might have ended up in another property than was worse than what I already had, as I saw from complaints online about VRBO. So, I was forced to stay here for the whole 3 months because you pay up-front. A good deal of my "Vacation" was taken up trying to negotiate an appropriate settlement that was fair. So, buyer/renter beware of this Property Management Company as well as VRBO.

I've made multiple attempts via phone calls and emails to get paid and I got the run around. Then a few days later there was a blanket email sent stating that the owner of the company had a medical emergency and was unable to answer calls or emails at this time. That was two weeks ago. Last week I stopped by at the office during business hours to see what was going on and how the owner was feeling - the office doors were locked and lights were out. I'm not feeling good about getting paid. @Vince B - I learned that there is a Florida Real Estate Recovery fund set up for property owners who haven't been paid. Check with a FL attorney to get the details of how to go about filing a claim and collecting your losses from this fund.

As a titanium elite, we were bonvoying and I have to say, the continental breakfast that comes with titanium is plenty. And don't forget to have the orange juice, it's heavenly and included. Service was excellent each morning we were there. The servers can't do enough for you. Maia also has a very nice peaceful ambiance and the windows look out at the pool/ocean. If you want more than a continental breakfast with your status, you can pay an additional $15 and get all the hot food as well. And if you don't have status, you can pay for à la carte breakfast too or the buffet how you like. We also enjoyed Tesoro and Quinn restaurants as well. Our room was on the 9th floor and while it was very nice, it could definitely use some updating. But honestly, with all the great amenities, you can hardly think about needing a fresh coat of paint or new bathroom furnishings or more modern lighting. The room was still very nice. And I loved the bracelet they gave us that was our room key too! The bed was very comfy! The weather was super cold while we were there, however we found some time to enjoy the beach and pool. The gym was very nice as well. There is so much to do.. there's even a bowling alley for those rainy days. If you're looking for a great getaway in Florida, JW is a very nice, relaxing resort for all ages, young and old. The rooms are quieter and offer additional features like access to the adult rooftop pool, breakfast, separate check-in/out lounge, separate beach sitting area, etc. The Gulf front rooms/ suites offer spectacular views of the beach and sunsets. The huge beach is great for sitting, walking, shelling, and playing. Also, lots of water activities like fishing, jet skis, banana boat, parasailing, dolphin cruises, etc. We really enjoyed starting our day with breakfast at Maia's Restaurant. Excellent buffet with omelet station (or you an order off a menu), and great service! Big Thanks to Dolly, as well as Bianca, Nellie, Ally, Calene, Kay, and the rest of the team for treating us royally. Fantastic way to start each day! Blue herons waltz down the docks in all their glory. So much life and natural beauty here. I have been coming to Marco for 25 years and have stayed all over. Eventually, we found we were happiest at Riverside. We rented for a number of years but a few years ago, my Mom finally bought her own condo here. You can't beat it. Life is good.
