The mini Tacos always come out great. I placed an order on Doordash for catering a few days before I needed it, the day of u had to send someone else to pick up the food. This was an amazing lunch and great bang for my buck. The lunch special was two enchiladas, rice, beans, and soda for $6. It was a super filling meal and very tasty. The enchilada sauce was incredible and flavorful. The service was amazing. The owners were very friendly and the food was very fast. The dining area is small but comfortable. The visit this morning was for the 60th Birthday of my Husband. The waitress was very friendly and caring. But the atmosphere was horrible. Cold like in a fridge and music was way too loud. I ordered french toast without bacon and eggs at the side. What I got were two slices of naked toast, just drenched in old smelling fat. No powdered sugar over it, no butter no syrup no fruit. I did not even touched it. But did not make a complain, I was just fed up. My Husband got his tacos and needed to ask for the salsa. He ate all of them. Little gem hidden of the main road. Really good Tex mex. Chips and hot sauce (salsa) are best anywhere. Great m Chicano dishes. Barbacoa is some of the best around. Polite wait staff and the owner is very polite. Lots of parking, entrance and exit are a bit easy to drive past. Pro tip: closed Wednesday, hours vary through out the year. I really hate that I have to leave this review. I understand that things have changed with all that is going on and shortages. However, the service was terrible the other day. We ordered two carne asada fries and two breakfast burritos. That alone took almost 40 minutes, then when asked for a time frame of when the food would be ready. The guy at the counter replied with "I am not sure, we have a lot of call in orders". Not very professional if you ask me. The other issue that we had is that the meat appeared to be old and the fries looked like frozen ones. We have ordered the carne asada fries many times and never have they looked like this. We ordered the Albondigas soup and lunch special Enchiladas al Carbon with one fajita chicken and one beef fajita. We arrived at 11am right as the lunch menu opened. The owner greeted us and sat us down. The server we had was very attentive and gave great service. The chips were hot and crisp. They also have the best sweet tea I've had in awhile. I have been there 3 times for takeout and disappointed. I did not have the same experience as the reviews that I had read. The food was cold, cheese was not even melted on my enchiladas. Burrito was bland and ground beef was cold, dry and coarse. Tacos fell apart and shells soggy. Menudo was tasteless and missing lime, jalapeños and cilantro. Corn tortillas had a strange taste. Chips and homemade salsa were great. Service was fragmented and staff wasn't very welcoming. Prices are okay but I won't be going back or recommend to anyone. read more

Walked in and placed an order and shared I would wait in my vehicle. Over 30 mins passed and 3 couples came out from dining. Not much to look at from the front, but looks are deceiving. Great home made salsa with nice warm chips. Great agua fresco's (fresh water made with fruit), I had the pineapple and was wonderful. This out of the way little eatery is worth searching for, the atmosphere is festive and the restaurant is very clean. Wait staff is cheerful and efficient. Food was truly authentic Mexican and, even though we were "stuffed" after the excellent main course we did eat the sopapillas and they were wonderful.
