The enchiladas were also drowned in cheese and sour cream, and while the chicken was salted, it lacked flavor. The rice was bland. The charro beans were easily the highlight of the meal. They had the perfect texture--not too firm or too soft--and a rich depth of flavor that stood out from everything else on the plate. I would happily order those again. I loved the Pupusas, they were fried to perfection and delicious. My wife loved the Carne asada plate. The steak was extremely tender and the rice and beans were great. Our group went to Gatesville, TX for work and we did not have much option for real food. So we decided to make the 40 minute drive out to Kileen to get some real food. The vibe and decor is really nice. Very welcoming and nice customer service. The water taste funny though so if you are sensitive to water, you are better off buying bottled water or their aqua Fresca. They also serve you chips and salsa on the house! I got the Jamaica, I liked it because it was not too sweet. My husband said he would prefer it to be sweeter. I got the ancho Chili enchilada and I enjoyed it. After eating a bunch of soul food at various family events, my husband and I began craving good Mexican food. After a quick Yelp search, we discovered Los Pinchis Tacos and decided to give it a try. Customer service was great! We were greeted and seated at a clean table upon arrival. Our waiter was friendly & respectful and answered all of our questions to the best of his ability. He made sure we were well taken care of. When our drinks were running low, he even brought us refills before we could even ask him. Excellent! The food was delicious and the portion sizes are quite large for what you pay for! The carne asada was cooked to perfection! The meat was tender, juicy, and very flavorful! I had the Tacos Dorados and Elote and both were DELICIOUS. My sister had the Arepa and said it was yummy too. My husband had 2 of the Quesabirria tacos and an El Guero... it was all great too. Only two small complaints- my brother-in-law said his birria tacos were a little bland and needed a little more salt. They charge extra for with cheese but that's literally what a quesabirria is Birria taco with cheese hence the word queso lol The meat was not seasoned at all. Not even with salt . The consomè was basically like a clear non salted beef broth that they serve for a clear diet in the hospital. Just disgusting the only decent crap was the Baja fish taco. Great local Mexican food spot to open up here in Killeen! We love supporting local and that's easy to do when the food is fantastic and the service is great. We've visited twice now, once for breakfast and once for dinner. On both occasions service was friendly and prompt, and all the food ordered was extremely fresh and authentic. This place is scamming. We came in with our 3 kids, 5 people total. One was a baby, not eating. We ordered 2 fajita mixed plates, were charged extra for one and both plates came out with pre cooked steak only, not even hot. The Loca fries didn't come out until the family was done eating. None of the food was good. None of the food was cold. The fajitas were definitely pre cooked and just heated up. To top it all off they added a 18% gratuity and didn't say that. I went in to pick up my order they wasn't done with it as I had a very large order we ordered for for 6 people they stated it would be done in 15 minutes I gave them a few extra minutes so it would be ready but when I went in it wasn't I was okay with it.
