    Mix Mixed Shawarma Platter

We found this place online after searching up food in our area. The Food was great, service was great and the owner even came by multiple times to check on us. It's a hidden gem and must try!

The food here is always fresh and amazing. It's a quiet restaurant, but I love coming here whether it's to study or with friends and family. You can smoke hookah indoors and outdoors, and the staff is always extremely nice. It's a family-owned restaurant, and the owner is always there to greet you and check on you. I recommend trying the chicken shawarma platters, wraps, and lamb chops, and for drinks, the mint lemonade or Jordanian coffee are top-notch!!

My husband and I visited Sanabreh for lunch and were immediately impressed by how beautiful and clean the place is, and our waitress was incredibly nice and polite. The moment we saw the trompo spinning we knew we had to try the shawarma, so we ordered the chicken shawarma plate with spicy rice, hummus, tabbouleh, and cucumber yogurt. Everything was outstanding! the chicken was tender and full of flavor, the basmati rice was perfection, the hummus super creamy with that delicious tahini taste, the tabbouleh fresh and crunchy, the pita goes great with everything, the tum sauce was super tasty. They even brought us a complimentary Dubai‑style house‑made chocolate that was unbelievably good. This was such an amazing experience; when I tried the chicken I honestly wondered how this place isn't packed. 100% recommended.

We enjoyed an outstanding meal at Sanabreh. We ordered the family platter for 6 which includes mixed kabobs (chicken, beef, and lamb), spicy and/or regular rice, and two sides. We loved the cucumber salad and hummus side dishes. The meats were tender and juicy. The platter also had fries and chicken shawarma. Everything tasted great. The restaurant was bright and welcoming and the service was great.

The food was delicious. The lamb was tender & juicy full of flavor! The shawarma was just as amazing. Definitely order the hummus for an appetizer too. The service was great!

First and first most the customer service at Sanabreh was outstanding. We had a nice chat with the owner. Very nice person. The food was so full of flavors, it was definitely one of the better tasting restaurants I've been to. We had the chicken shawarma and the beef shawarma. Two different flavors but very tasteful. Their hummus reminds me of the hummus in MI. You just don't find many places with good hummus. Owner gave us complimentary drinks and Dubai chocolate. Any review that says their food doesn't have flavor must have a. high sodium palette because it was a world of flavors. Ambiance was nice and quiet and also allow for hookah

    Chicken Kofta

A true hidden gem! Went here tonight with my fiance and we tried the app sampler with the hummus, tabbouleh, and baba ganoush. The baba ganoush had such a beautiful flavor! Then my entree was the chicken kofta which was seasoned perfectly. My fiance got the chicken shawarma and it was so good I will probably get it for myself next time. Overall the space was clean and the waitress was very attentive. We will definitely be adding it to the rotation!

Me and my companion hardly ever get to eat Mediterranean/Greek cuisine. The service and quality at Sanabreh is nice, but some of their dishes left much to be desired. Their menu items don't have a full description, so you end up biting into some veggies you hate inside of your wrap, like tomatoes and raw onions. YUCK! My friend said her Chicken Shawarma wrap completely lacked flavor. Be careful when ordering water, because your server may give you cucumber water instead without checking with you. Again, YUCK! Sanabreh's prices for even their most basic dishes are very pricey! Other notes: Sanabreh has a separate room for private parties. Sanabreh has a hookah menu, for those of you who love smoking (NOT me). They also offer catering. Their decor isn't Greek inspired, it's more like antique. There are no sweets on their menu, either. Verdict: Sanabreh is not one of my favorite places to dine at.

Good food, exceptional service, great hookah! We'll be back for sure! My husband and I shared the shish kabob plate and enjoyed some infused water. We can't wait for the weather to cool so we can enjoy the covered patio!

The staff was very friendly and attentive and the food was delicious! I especially enjoyed the Jordanian coffee flavored with cardamom and it was only $3.99. The restaurant itself was very clean and inviting. I hope they survive because the place is a hidden gem.

I didn't catch the bartender's name, but he greeted us immediately. There was only one other patron and the staff was decorating the bar with Christmas decor. The bartender informed us that the bar wasn't fully stocked but asked us what types of drinks we like. Based on my preference, he suggested a Martinez. I had never even heard of a Martinez but I was open to trying it. He made it, looked at it, and said it didn't come out right. He asked if it would be okay for him to redo it which I of course obliged. I appreciated the fact that he didn't serve me a drink that wasn't properly made. The wait was worth it. The Martinez tasted like a sweeter Negroni and I really enjoyed it! I'm glad I was able to visit one of the oldest bars in Houston. It was super low key and chill which was a perfect way to end our evening.

Friday after work during happy hour and the prices could not be beat, especially with their lobster bites (was sitting at about $30, and we got them half off!) Drinks were fantastic! I selected the "Golden Cadillac" that comes with a miniature bottle of Grand Marnier inside of it. Very good. My company decided on an array of appetizers for his "main course", while I went with their Fried Salmon (served with Mac and cheese, and collard greens). Omg! So tasty! The pepper was prevalent throughout, but it did not over power the flavor! I make collard greens at home (and learned from one of the best), and even I found theirs to be pretty good! My company selected fried ribs, along with the lobster bites, and crawfish queso dip, and their wings! I tasted what he got, and we both agreed that the wings were "off the chart" delicious with a beautiful straight off the grill smoky flavor! So good that he got another order to go! Lol. What made our experience there amazing was our server Ray (Rajean = think "the 90's TV Show "Living Single"..."smooches"!)...she was the best!! From her hello, to walking us through the menu (as first-timers), her recommendations, her energy, her smile, and her being very relatable. Loved her! My only gripe was the bathrooms, the ladies room needed attention (and could use a spruce all around). It doesn't help that it is a bit small, but yeah, they need to focus some efforts on ensuring it's upkeep. As for seating and parking, there is a bar area and limited seating toward the front of the restaurant, but it does extend to back of the house with additional seating. There is also patio seating as well. Because this place seems popular, it is best to reserve ahead to ensure your seating. Parking is very limited! They do however, offer valet (but at $20+). There is off-street parking, but be careful since this is a residential area and nothing is secure. All in all, I really had a great time and left with my belly full! Definitely worth checking out! What was lost is now found! Enjoy!

It's BYOB, offers hookah, smoothies, fresh juices, teas, and an extensive food menu with plenty of great priced food options. The service was decent, but the waiter could have been more attentive to our table. Unfortunately, the hookah wasn't the best. The shisha flavors weren't prominent enough to really enjoy not even the mint flavor. I don't think a hookah has to be made with Love 66 to be flavorful, so that was a bit disappointing. On the bright side, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Four seasoned lamb chops for under $30 is a great deal! I ordered mine medium well and substituted the hummus for french fries and kept the rice. The meal came with a white garlic tzatziki sauce and what I believe was a red spicy sauce called harissa sauce. The tzatziki sauce was very good with the rice and is definitely worth trying. The menus description of mixed vegetables was misleading to me. Instead of an actual scoop of mixed vegetables (what I thought I was getting) it came with a single slice of onion, tomato, and bell pepper, which felt more like garnishes than a side. I didn't get a chance to try the chicken philly sub or gyro wrap because my friends cleaned their plates before I could grab a bite. From the emptiness of their plates that should tell you all you need to know about how good the food was. Overall, Cafe Layal is a convenient spot with plenty of parking. It's a good place to study, hang out with friends, or enjoy affordable hookah, plus it's BYOB with only a small corkage fee. Yes, the hookah and service could use some improvement, but the food and value really made it worth the visit.

I'm just not ok with a dj who is being paid by the owner, telling folks or allowing the MC to tell folks in order to request a song, you gotta pay. If I chose to tip him, so be it, but being forced ain't cool. My biggest complaint was the price of everything. Now I'm a country chick and realize that prices are more expensive in the city. I was approached by the manager and I told her I needed a set up. She asked me what chasers I wanted and I said water and coke. I was charged separately for the water and coke that was supposed to be included in my set up.... so all together for a set up and a hookah, I paid over $60. I've never paid, IN HOUSTON, more than $10 for a set up and $35 for a hookah. Then they have small 4 oz paper cups to get the ice out with. After all this she attempted to charge me a bottle fee for each bottle I brought in. I sincerely think the young lady wasn't sure about what she was doing. Again she maintained her professionalism but she looked overwhelmed. Let's move on to those hookahs, the flavor lasted maybe 10-15 minutes and then the other lady who was helping refresh the coals was firmly pressing them down on the foil. I called her to the side and advised her that she was going to burn the shisha like that and sure enough my next puff was nothing but burnt shisha. They did replace it for free so I can't say much about that but overall....... The employees need training, I think they were overwhelmed and I think y'all were understaffed to serve the amount of people that accompanied this party...
