There is no office access. We saw multiple people trying to access the office, obviously it was not communicated to them that this is now a "no contact" facility. 2nd complaint- there were SEVERAL huge bags of laundry sitting outside on the patio of said "office" for days. 3rd complaint- the 4 people "on staff" who were of which no identification that they were employees until we saw them with brooms, mops, etc. They were extremely RUDE. In example, a larger heavy set man was there and we asked him to unlock the laundry room so we could do our laundry. He was very rude in his response and asked what we needed and if it was personal items or needing towels, we said personal items and he laughed and said "ok, well it should be open", not offering to open the doors for us after we just told him it was locked. So, we found the second employee on staff who was identified with a "maintenance" name tag, and asked him if he would open the laundry room for us, he kindly opened them for us. 4th complaint- there was another said employee that was not uniformed violently pushing the chairs in the patio and taking guests personal towels that were laid out on chairs to their laundry basket. He was also going up to guests who were eating and asking them if they were finished with their food. He was very rude to interact with and he was not professional in any manner, just as the heavy set gentleman. 5th complaint- MOLD. There was mold all on the inside of our shower and growing on the shower curtain (see photos). 6th complaint- This is the icing on top of the cake- our flight was scheduled to leave very early, so we had to get up and going around 3 am. Waking up and walking into the kitchen, there were not one, but TWO COCKROACHES crawling on the floor!!!! My phone was not with me and as soon as I moved to go grab my phone, they ran straight under the refrigerator. As if the complaints above weren't enough for us to ever return, the last complaint was. This establishment used to be so well ran and high class. All I can say is wow, we will never return to Belleair Beach Club. It was also communicated amongst other guests we had met there that they have been staying there for years and were also very disappointed in the way this establishment has went downhill very quickly.

Several of the units are privately owned, either way, such a nice place to stay and relax. Location is key in choosing a vacation rental. At Belleair Beach Club, you're literally minutes from Clearwater, Indian Rocks Beach, St. Pete and Tampa. Just about anything you want to do is a short drive. Plenty of good eats in the area as well as nightlife activities. Only negative I have for this years trip is the slight eyesore of the massive pipeline spanning the beach with the ship sitting about a half mile offshore - but not to worry, they're just dredging to increase the size of the beach so it will be even bigger when we return!!

We immediately reported it to the front desk, who told us they could not access the valet cameras and that we would need to contact corporate, but would not provide us with any information on how to do so. My fiancé was at work, so I contacted law enforcement. This remains under investigation, so I will not speculate publicly about who is responsible. This review is about how The Hotel Zamora and its management handled us during our stay and after we left. Because my fiancé was working, I communicated with the assistant manager, David Engler, on my fiancé's behalf. I spent hours asking David for basic communication, updates, and assistance, only to receive dismissive responses and an attitude rather than empathy or urgency. During our interactions, David repeatedly rolled his eyes and visibly clenched his fists while I was speaking. Other staff witnessed these interactions. When David would return to his office, other employees apologized to me for how the situation was being handled and offered things such as complimentary drink cards. Once my fiancé was physically present, David's demeanor noticeably changed. I should not have to have my fiancé standing beside me before I am treated with basic respect and professionalism. The missing Mac mini was my fiancé's primary work computer. The entire reason for our stay was his business trip, and its loss has continued to affect his work. Despite this, we experienced very little urgency or concern from management. The surveillance footage was important to the ongoing investigation, yet we spent an unreasonable amount of time trying to obtain updates. We asked whether the hotel could accommodate another night so we could remain available while the investigation continued. Instead, we were told we could simply pay for another night ourselves at a discounted rate, then told we'd have to pay at full rate, and then told by the assistant manager that we would "confront people." This was comical. At no point did either of us say that we intended to confront anyone. We are both working professionals who were trying to handle an incredibly frustrating situation while continuing to meet our professional obligations. We explained that we live hours away and wanted to remain reachable in case the property was recovered so we would not have to make multiple trips back to the area. The last excuse we were told was that the hotel could not accommodate us because they were nearly booked for the weekend. We attempted to contact the General Manager, Shannan May, multiple times by phone and email. We did not receive a response from her during our stay. The assistant manager acknowledged that he was aware we had been attempting to reach Shannan, yet she still did not contact us directly. For a situation this serious, we found it extremely disappointing that the General Manager did not extend the basic courtesy of personally reaching out to the guests involved. After we had already checked out, Shannan eventually emailed us stating that we could have dinner on them, our resort and parking fees would be waived and that the booking agency would be contacted regarding compensation. We have still received no meaningful resolution or direct follow-up from management. The hotel cannot control every incident that happens to a guest. It absolutely does control how it responds. We expected communication, empathy, cooperation, and management that actually took the situation seriously. Instead, we felt dismissed, unsupported, and blamed for being upset about what happened. The investigation remains ongoing. Regardless of its outcome, our experience with the hotel's management was unacceptable. I have never left a review anywhere before. This experience was bad enough that I felt compelled to leave one. I would absolutely not recommend staying here.

We absolutely love staying right on the beach with first floor access ... with a king bed & walk-in shower! Yes, we do bring a few of our favorite things from home but we drive so we are able to do so ... however ... if you plan to fly - you don't need anything but your bathing suits & some clothes because Ann supples everything! There's adequate parking & the condo is close to CVS, a big souvenir shop & Crabby Bill's restaurant is great for lunch or dinner! If you are looking for a big place with lots of action, a pool and spa ... I'd say you need to pass this place by but if you are looking for one of the nicest beaches (a few feet away), beautiful sunsets & a quiet cozy atmosphere ... then the Shack is perfect! We did visit a few local spots for dinner but we mostly enjoyed grilling burgers or local shrimp & watching sunset!

We say that if Ann does not have it in the condo then we probably do not need it! This is truly a gulf front condo. Location...Location...Location! this condo has the best location! the trolley stops in back of the condo, you are walking distance to a pharmacy, grocer, museum, post office, coffee shop, and some of the best restaurants around. ( our morning walks down the beach to the Lighthouse donut shop has become a tradition...be sure and get the apple fritter) There is nothing better than walking out the sliders and sinking our toes in the warm sand. Beaches are beautiful, and sunsets are amazing. Ann even has torches and a table you can set up on the beach for a romantic dinner! This condo has become our "Heaven on Earth!". If you want to adventure beyond the area you can take the trolly up to Clearwater beach to the pier or down to Johns Pass. The trolley even goes down to St. Pete's beach! I could not imagine a year without visiting "the shack on the sand"! ( this shack is no shack!!)

I sent an email each morning with my concerns. Apparently, the email was NOT read by the "powers that be" and I was using the wrong email address. Therefore, I was not getting a response. I was finally contacted by Amanda, a representative for Plumlee. The items in the condo were not fixed during our stay, but they were able to get the AC working when it went out. Amanda was pleasant and informative.

This was the third year we have rented from Plumlee. The staff is excellent and very accommodating…read morewith any issues. I do feel that the beds should be decent with the price we are paying. All three bedrooms in our unit need new beds and were told it was out of there hands and up to the owners. The oven took over an hour to get to temperature and both showers had no water pressure and didn't drain properly. My girlfriends have been staying here for years, sometimes more than once a year. Hubs & I booked a…read moreroom for one night maybe 10 years ago - definitely long enough ago that I don't remember any details, good or bad. Fast-forward to COVID-time... my friends were here for a week following the 4th of July and again for a week after Labor Day, and I came out for a day each time. As I was able to see inside four different units during those visits, everything looked very clean & well-maintained. Since I live about 35 minutes away, the Pinellas beaches are very accessible. So for my birthday weekend at the end of September, hubs & I decided to plan a 3-night getaway. After looking at a bunch of other properties up & down the Pinellas coast, I decided to book with Surf Song since I had recent first-hand experience and their rates were simply outstanding. Bonus points for this stretch of beach being so narrow! AND extra credit for the proximity to John's Pass. Surf Song is part of a resort group that offers online reservations, which was a huge plus for me (you might be surprised at how many smaller/independent vacation rental beach properties don't have online booking in 2020 - I was). Checking in on-site Friday afternoon was quick & easy. Though I knew which parking spots were for visitors, I was appreciative that we were able to get an extra parking pass for hubs' truck (we drove separately because he had to work very early on Monday). The room key deposit was $20, which was charged separately, and refunded before I'd even made it to work after checking out Monday morning. Since the units are privately owned, I'd spent some time studying the photos online & reading the bed descriptions (which saved me from almost booking a room with a slightly better view but only two twin beds). Our final price for three nights was comparable to a room at larger hotels, but we had a full kitchen and separate living room plus a gulf view. The balcony was shared, but with only 5 other rooms & not all were occupied each night. Our unit was on the 3rd floor, with the entrance facing Gulf Blvd & the parking lot. The door opened immediately into a tight bedroom with king size bed, dresser, large TV and closet, plus plantation shutters on the window that blocked the rising sun each morning. The kitchen area was adjacent to the bedroom, with a pocket door between the two. Though smallish, the kitchen had most of the necessities for a lengthy stay, including a 4-burner electric stove with oven, microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker. The cabinets were stocked with plates, drinkware, pots & pans, silverware, utensils, etc., as well as a toaster, manual juicer & small crock pot. The fridge was not residential full-size but much larger than a typical hotel unit at about 5' tall, including a separate freezer on top. In the living area, a sleeper sofa faced the very large flatscreen TV, along with a recliner, and small dining table with a fold-out leaf. Through the glass sliders, the balcony facing the Gulf had a couple of chairs with a small table. The large bathroom had a tub/shower combo & plenty of counter space. Note, each unit is decorated & furnished independently by the owners, and the website photos are very helpful. We were pleased with the cleanliness of our room and enjoyed its beachy style without being too dated. For our first full day, hubs went down to the beach & paid for a cabana. Basically this was a very large umbrella over two reclining wooden loungers with cushions... perfect for us! And the attendant came by every few hours to reposition the umbrella. That said, I don't know if these rentals have anything to do with the resort other than being available on the beach immediately between the property and the water. On our second (and last) full day, we relaxed closer to the resort's pool. Hubs went down early & reserved an umbrella table for us just outside of the shady pool area, overlooking the sand & surf. By "reserved", I mean that he spread out our beach towels. Because the table wasn't right by pool, we weren't disturbed at all by other guests, and hubs could play music on his small speaker without disturbing anyone else. The pool area is a cozy courtyard design with lots of tables with umbrellas and dozens of chaise lounges. There's no hot tub here, but this is Florida. Surf Song Resort is located almost directly across Gulf Blvd from John's Pass - ideally located for a quick walk to dining and shopping. This is not a fancy resort, but definitely a great value, with a variety of room configurations. I've always enjoyed visiting when my girlfriends are here, and my own recent weekend stay was fantastic.

Condo has limited pans, etc., one bath mat for 2 weeks, no hot pads or drain board for kitchen. NO BEACH TOWELS, would have been nice to have that information. The shower head does NOT move, I'm short and can't even get my hair washed there as it sprays straight ahead and very much above my head. Also super small shower, similar to a phone booth. The condo has a window that the sliding door shade on one side does not go all the way down, been like that for quite awhile, gets hot in the afternoon with the sun come in. The condo has not been update I'm sure in quite some time. That's apparent with the condition of furnishings. Considering the amount of money (4,000) for 2 weeks, this is so not worth it. Stay away from here and find something worth the money!!
