The top-tier, like this one, is only 30,000 a night which is a steal compared to the price you would pay to stay here. I would highly recommend redeeming all your points to stay at this location. This hotel is right on the beach. I mean, you do have to cross a road to get to the beach, but there's nothing that obstructs your view if you have a gulf facing room. At first, I was kind of disappointed that we didn't have a full gulf facing view, we had a partial gulf view. I did think to myself that it would be worth it in the future to upgrade to a gulf view. It must be super popular because when I looked on the website to see if there were any more gulf views available, there weren't. However, the one benefit of having a partial gulf view, which means we faced the pool that looks diagonally at the water, is when it pours your balcony doesn't get wet. And man on our last day, did the weather turn and it rained hard. It was actually quite nice to sit on the balcony and watch the rain. Everybody we came into contact here was super friendly. From the bar staff to check in, we never met anyone that wasn't nice. The general manager at this resort is also a gem. I mentioned that we were celebrating a special occasion, and he had a gift basket sent to our room. That definitely made a huge difference, especially since we have been staying at different hotels along the beach, little touches like that really solidified that this is our new favorite. The pool is on the smaller side, but there are tons of chairs so it looks like even if you don't get a chair in a prime location there are ones always available. This seems to be more of an adult resort, the vibes were on the elevated partying side. That's not to say we didn't see kids, because we definitely did, but we saw a lot less children than we have at other resorts (like at the JW). The room itself was beautiful, it was clean and nicely decorated. Like I said, I love the balcony and the view. It felt spacious. The resort also puts on some activities like yoga, sunset coffee and sweets, and it played the sandlot one evening outside at the pool. I appreciate that they put all these different activities. This resort is close to everything so I would highly recommended if you were looking for a Clearwater Beach resort.

We didn't rent a car for our trip so it was perfect to be able to access nearby restaurants, shops, and more all on foot. -The pool deck is very large, well kept, and very well staffed. Tons of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Everyone working there was so dang nice! You can receive pool-side service for food & drink, or head up to the attached bar to grab what you need. Definitely a little on the pricey side, but a lot of good options. -We booked a one-bedroom suite and it was delightful! Sooo spacious, likely more than we needed. It was super clean and modern. Very nice, updated bathrooms and walk-in glass showers. Our patio was also huge, providing beautiful views of the Mandalay Channel. Beds were comfy, and they even so kindly provided us with a cot/crib for our youngest. Hugee for parents - that was super appreciated! -Literally every single person working there that we interacted with was beyond sweet! Five-star service and friendliness from all staff. CONS: -Little to no cleaning service in the room (unless requested??). Maybe I missed how this works, but it was a little of a bummer having overflowing trash cans and dirty dishes we weren't sure what to otherwise do with. They were very quick to bring fresh towels upon request, however! -Given the size of our suite, we would have loved to have a few extra usable items in the kitchen area, like any kind of napkins/paper towels, silverware, and soap do to a little washing up. Surely don't expect it to be fully stocked with appliances and plateware, but it seemed a little odd how big it was with truly nothing to use it for. It's kind of strange as you have to go up from the parking garage to the 5th level to get to the front desk as there is now obvious entrance street level. The breakfast is also on the same level as the desk. It's a hot breakfast and the french toast was my go to although they had eggs, sausage, bacon, bagels and a lot of other stuff to choose from. When you're eating breakfast you have a great view of the marina and beach. It was fun to watch the dolphins that came into the marina to eat. The location of the hotel is extremely convenient, right on the marina and only a short walk from the beach. Staff was polite and very helpful. The elevators are fast which is nice too. The cost was reasonable, especially compared to other hotels on the beach. Lot's to watch on tv including free Netflix. It's a little older hotel but they keep it clean and in good condition. On the 10th floor is Jimmy's Crow's Nest bar and restaurant which is outside. Never ate anything there but did get drinks and they were good. They do a free shot at sunset every night too. I'd return if we go back to Clearwater Beach.

Disappointing experience with clear racial undertones…read more I stayed at Pier 60 Clearwater Beach for a family emergency and was extremely disappointed with part of my experience. While some front desk staff were professional and helpful, the interaction with the bartender and the general manager on February 17th left a bad taste. When I attempted to pay a $30 tab, I was asked multiple times for my credit cards in a condescending manner. Despite my cards working, the bartender struggled with the payment system. When the GM stepped in, the same card that was "declined" magically worked immediately -- an interaction I recorded. This experience gave the impression of racial bias, as I highly doubt a white patron would have been treated the same way. I am a Black professional and a doctor currently working with the FBI, and I found the behavior unnecessary, unprofessional, and stressful during an already difficult family situation. While the GM attempted to address the issue, he was dismissive and walked away during the conversation. Two things can be true: some staff were courteous and kind, but the bartender and the handling of the payment issue created a negative and unnecessary experience. Unfortunately, this completely overshadowed the positive aspects of my stay, and I would not recommend this hotel for Black patrons or Black professionals at this time. Summary: Positive interactions with some staff were erased by poor service and racial undertones. If management wishes to address this, I would be willing to provide recorded documentation.

We absolutely love staying right on the beach with first floor access ... with a king bed & walk-in shower! Yes, we do bring a few of our favorite things from home but we drive so we are able to do so ... however ... if you plan to fly - you don't need anything but your bathing suits & some clothes because Ann supples everything! There's adequate parking & the condo is close to CVS, a big souvenir shop & Crabby Bill's restaurant is great for lunch or dinner! If you are looking for a big place with lots of action, a pool and spa ... I'd say you need to pass this place by but if you are looking for one of the nicest beaches (a few feet away), beautiful sunsets & a quiet cozy atmosphere ... then the Shack is perfect! We did visit a few local spots for dinner but we mostly enjoyed grilling burgers or local shrimp & watching sunset!

We say that if Ann does not have it in the condo then we probably do not need it! This is truly a gulf front condo. Location...Location...Location! this condo has the best location! the trolley stops in back of the condo, you are walking distance to a pharmacy, grocer, museum, post office, coffee shop, and some of the best restaurants around. ( our morning walks down the beach to the Lighthouse donut shop has become a tradition...be sure and get the apple fritter) There is nothing better than walking out the sliders and sinking our toes in the warm sand. Beaches are beautiful, and sunsets are amazing. Ann even has torches and a table you can set up on the beach for a romantic dinner! This condo has become our "Heaven on Earth!". If you want to adventure beyond the area you can take the trolly up to Clearwater beach to the pier or down to Johns Pass. The trolley even goes down to St. Pete's beach! I could not imagine a year without visiting "the shack on the sand"! ( this shack is no shack!!)

The fun and cute backyard was perfect for our family to enjoy a beachside fire, twinkle lights, shuffleboard, lawn games, kayak, paddleboards etc. It was fully stocked with everything you'd ever want for the beach - beach bag, umbrellas, chairs, toys, fishing poles, nets, floats etc. The free on site laundry and laundry supplies was such a generous offering. The cottage was clean, well kept, fully stocked with kitchen and bathroom essentials and then some extra. We brought our Shiba Inu and he loved being able to watch out the back glass to see us at the beach! The back deck and views are magnificent. Our beds were clean and comfy. The shower had perfect water pressure for thick haired families like ours. The French bakery in front had the most delicious pastries and quiche offerings. We absolutely loved Tommy's on the Beach and can't wait to return very soon.
