    Chicken sandwich & fries

We tried Sand Point Grill last week for dinner and we're very disappointed. I hope it was just an off night! Food: * Potato skins were delicious (5/5) * Chicken sandwich was ok, nothing special (3.5/5) * Lamb bolognese was terrible (1/5) - prominent flavors were bread and carrots. I think they might have changed the chef or recipe, but it's pretty bad. Pasta was cooke well, but I couldn't taste the lamb and it had no discernible tomato for a "tomato sauce". Avoid this dish! Drinks: Mediocre. My husband ordered the old fashioned (not well balanced - way too sweet) and then a gin & tonic (meh) Service: Pretty sure our waitress was in training, she was really nice but made a lot mistakes... including delivering our food to the wrong table. Unfortunately I'm not sure we will come back, but maybe for the HH and those potato skins. I really hope they can turn things around!

Great vibe. Grubbin' menu. Good service. Parking is a little tough though.

Yum! A neighbor had recommended this restaurant to me a couple of years ago and I kind of forgot about it. Thankfully I remembered and was able to try it out this week! I got here just after 5pm before the dinner rush and tried their Stoup porter (amazing!) as well as the soup of the day (a bunch of veggies pureed with a sort of curry apple flavor and a drizzle of truffle oil. I was nice and satiated by the time my friend arrived to join me. We shared the bruschetta (unique take on this traditional appetizer!) I loved the pomegranate and goat cheese. We also shared the quicos (large corn nuts) dish and enjoyed those very much. For dinner I had the fish tacos but opted to go without the flour tortillas in favor of greens. It ended up being a nice ahi salad - perfect! I tasted the chicken penne pasta dish my friend ordered and it was delightful as well. We finished the meal with the gelatiamo ice cream in cookies and cream and almond flavors (comes with molasses cookies baked fresh and delicious!) Great customer service and lovely dining setting. Looking forward to future visits to this lovely establishment! Parking is available in the City People lot or along Sand Point Way.

Nice, quiet, and cozy neighborhood restaurant. Perfect for weekend date nights or dinner with friends. We tried them out for dinner and found both the food and service were excellent. Reservations were fairly easy through Open Table. The restaurant is on Sand Point Way and there's both street and private lot parking available. There was no wait time and we were immediately seated upon arrival. The menu looked very promising. We started with a round of cocktails and I ordered the maple walnut old fashioned. We ordered the meat and cheese board for our appetizer. For the entrees, we ordered the cioppino and buttermilk fried chicken. The meat and cheese tray was interesting. There were not a lot of meats or cheeses, however an abundance of quicos (giant fried corn kernels). The cioppino was tasty and had a generous amount of fresh fish. The buttermilk chicken was my favorite. It was fried to perfection and served on top of mashed potatoes with a side of haricot vert. Needless to say both dishes were filling and we forgot to leave room for dessert. The staff were prompt, personable, and consistently checked in on our meal. I would not hesitate to return to this restaurant.

I love this place. It has a nice atmosphere and is kind of romantic, yet with a local, neighborhoodly flavor.

The pan-seared trout was very strange. This place is ok for burgers and rubens but not anything fancy.

They have so much outdoor seating, on both sides of the cafe, which I really like. Way more than downtown. Food came out super quick too. My go to order has always been the Mr Breakfast plate, it's super hearty and full of great breakfast foods. However, the price has increased exponentially and quality has definitely gone down. I used to pay around $15 for this plate and it included bacon and now it's $17 + an extra $4 to add 2 pieces of bacon. (The bacon is totally worth it though). The potatoes recipe need to be completely refined, or they need to offer a substitution option for them. They are overly soft and they don't have nearly enough seasoning. That was the only thing that remained on my plate when I was done! and the soft boiled egg tasted a little off to me, like it had been sitting for a bit long. Other than that, the Turkish eggs and chopped chicken salad were very fresh and good. Staff were super nice when ordering at the counter, coffees and pastries were good as well. Overall I will come back here, just would like to see some quality changes with the Mr Breakfast as it used to be very good.

So I'm sad to see the decline in this establishment. Upon entering I immediately noticed the worn upholstery in the booths. A serious makeover is needed. So trashy. But I get it times are hard. My food arrived on a chipped plate - time to throw it away folks. The counter server was very friendly as normal so that's a definite plus. However the BLT I ordered looked like they threw all the ingredients on the toast with no real prep. The tomato jam was not jam but pieces huge chunks too big to eat. While I'm glad they aren't skimping on the ingredients it was piled so high that it was challenging to eat. I ended up eating it in pieces with my fork and as such lost the tastiness of a combination of the flavors as it quickly became a deconstructed mess. A huge plus - the Seattle Fog was probably the best "London" fog I've ever had !!! Bravo. Not sure I'll come back again this visit. Maybe I'll check it next summer to see if improvements have been made.

It had some strange taste to it that I was not familiar with, and I wish the texture was a bit more firm! Overall, it was a good dinner and the service was fast! Nice that they have regular test, low test and no test drinks depending on how much alcohol you want. Food was very tasty, we had the lobster pasta and the fajitas. The tortillas were very flimsy so messy but still nice flavor and good amount of food.. started with the hummus which is what I was told to try there and yes a creative hummus plate... which brings me to the only hiccup... The chef gets creative at times and apparently edamame is in season so randomly added to the hummus even though not on the menu. Found out half way through then had to verify what beans they were and couldn't eat rest of dish. I have to say, for the price the food and drinks weren't at the level I expected. We ordered nachos, crab Rangoon dip, and pretzel bites. The nachos were probably our favorite, but they weren't anything special for $22. The Rangoon dip was mostly cream cheese and barely had any flavor. I think they were depending on the nori chips to bridge the gap, but those didn't taste the greatest. Finally the pretzel bites were okay, but nothing I couldn't get at another gastropub for a much lower price. The drinks were fine, but not that strong. I ordered the Glacier Peak which was beautiful and refreshing. We'll be back for the views and maybe a couple of cocktails, but I'd say if you're bar hopping, spend money on food somewhere else in the area.
