We came in here after our soccer game on Wednesday (7/30/25) and seated in their lovely outdoor benches. The two gentlemen working were friendly and welcoming. They explained to us that everything was ordered at the bar. They have a nice pizza, salad and beer selection. I would say one of the best pizza's I've had in a long time. We got the "Nice to Meat You" and it was full of meats! The cheese pull was also quite amazing! Had left overs and it was equally as amazing as the day before! We will definitely be coming back! Wow. I've been coming here for decades often just for the amazing firehouse nachos. They used to have a large or a half order... now they have one size... and guess which one they went with while charging you what the large used to be? It used to be enough for two to three people to share. Now it's barely an entree. I'll be going elsewhere... the chintzing on portion size on a Fiddler legend nachos is just plain lame. read more

Funny, we've lived in the area for almost 2 years and haven't revisited The Fiddler! (Last time we came was 2016 when we weren't Seattleites!) Randomly went for dinner on a Friday night. They have a decent tap list (Russian River, LumberBeard, SIG). Pitchers for around $27! For the area, that's a great price, especially for good beer (not pedestrian beer like budlite or coors!!) Smaller menu, mainly pizza and sandwich fare. On Friday, I had a loaded baked potato (bacon, sour cream, chives,cheese). We had such a great experience on Friday, we decided to go back a few days later for lunch! My husband and I got a pitcher of a hazy IPA from LumberBeard. I ordered a 10" personal pizza (Hawaiian) and my husband got a sandwich and soup. We were both happy with our selections! Pizza had a great crust and crunch! Sandwich was good too! Love the ciabatta bread! Atmosphere is cozy and has a small town feel. Lots of outdoor seating - but this time of year it is a little too cold for us. Definitely looking forward to spring and summer visits & sitting out on the patio! We are thrilled to have rediscovered this little gem! I've been coming to Fiddler's since before I'd even moved to Seattle, nearly 20 years ago. In fact, it was one of the criteria that I used to pick the house I ultimately purchased (that my abode would have a pub within walking distance). It's a funky place, having been in constant use as a pub since 1934. The acoustics are terrible when there are a lot of folks in the pub or a band playing. And the clients varies from the crusty old-timers who've been coming in for decades opposite the millennial crowd who've moved in locally and have adopted it as their neighborhood pub. Still, I love the place, and although it's not as frequent a haunt for me as it once was, I still enjoy the occasional visit. This afternoon, my girlfriend and I met my parents for a some brews and food. There is no longer table service; clients need to go to the counter to order beer and food. We ordered a round of beers--they have 10 rotating taps, often with beer from the PNW--and food. Since it was mid-afternoon and we were already reasonably full from lunch, my girlfriend and I opted for the Firehouse nachos for the table (the Firehouse nachos have been on the menu at Fiddlers as long as I can remember). They were yummy, as always, and a great complement to our beers. My dad ordered the SCBLT (Smoked Chicken BLT), one of his favorites, and my mom the Big Papa Baked Potato, which she almost always orders. We all really enjoyed the food. There was a miscommunication with our order, and the server brought the meal of the day, the Beef Stroganoff Baked Potato, instead of the Big Papa as my mom had wanted. My mom really didn't want the special. The waiter was accommodating and made sure my mom had the correct order. All interchanges were pleasant, as has always been the case at the Fiddler. I met someone for lunch here and loved the super laid-back vibe with a delicious menu of pub fare. We sat outside and enjoyed a fall afternoon while sipping some good wine and cider. Our server was friendly and checked on us multiple times to see if we needed anything. We just wanted a nibble, and their chips and salsa were gluten-free. The salsa was excellent, and the chips were so so. Loved the atmosphere and intrigued by the rest of their menu; I'll be sure to stop back by sometime with an appetite. read more

Came in on a Thursday night with a friend and her pup. Spur of the moment decision when a show we were going to cancelled last minute. Their patio is dog friendly, covered, and heated! Those heat lamps are really doing a good job. I had to shed some layers to keep comfortable. There are actually two patios. The front one gets a lot of street noise but had more availability when we arrived. I learned later that the side patio has a walk-up window to order at. Or you can just go inside to the bar. The space inside has a typical pub feel and jovial atmosphere. There was live music (loud!) and a lively crowd. Service is fine. They bring your food out to you and that's that. I personally did not like the pizza. We shared The Grazer (olives, mushrooms, green peppers, cooked tomatoes & artichoke hearts, & mozzarella), and I found the crust too chewy and the toppings too bland. My friend took home the leftovers for her husband, and I took home a stomach ache. Nor did I care for the wine (an Italian red and a Cab). If I come back it'll be for beer and nachos. read more

Came here after going to magnuson park with the my dogs and grand dog. I can describe how good the food, drinks and above and beyond waitstaff. He came out quite often to check on us and our dogs. This was truly a hidden jewel we found. And will make plans to come again asap!! read more

Usually, with a draught/draft-house I stray away from reviewing such venues. This is mostly because the core focus of so-called brewpubs is they put the beer front and center on the food as an afterthought. So reviewing a place's food is off limits. At least for me. But The Fiddler Inn was one that surprised me. Genuinely, it's rare in this day and age to see a business that wants to make the customer happy. Breakdown of the rating. +1 Open, accessible, and uncomplicated seating. +1 Friendly staff/bartenders. +1 A diverse draft-list that isn't/wasn't IPA (india pale ale)-heavy. +1 Prompt food and drink service +1 Going the extra mile to ensure the customer is happy. A couple of additional features are worth mentioning. 1. They have several picnic-style tables outdoors next to the building. Perfect for summer seating. 2. They have an equal amount of accommodation indoors, including their bar area. 3. Outdoor seating is East-West, making for moments where sunglass will be required. Background. During a recent trip, we stopped in and grabbed a couple pints, with the notion of potentially grabbing some food. We received the pints quickly, with an adequate amount of foam in each. Reviewing our food options, we ordered some food and allowed customizations. In between the first pint and second, the staff delivered our first order, followed by returning to reclaim our empty pints. Ordering a followup was a breeze, as the staff had an updated draft list. Later, our follow up food showed up and after some confusion, followed by clarification, they corrected the misunderstanding. The best part, no charge! Upon receiving the bill, we accounted for everything and found no unexpected charges. Overall, we think a visit to The Fiddler's Inn is worth your time! As always, your individual experience will vary. But for us, we'll for sure look them up again when we're in the area. read more

Unassuming little spot with outdoor and indoor seating. It took a while to get our food even though it was pretty empty, but when we did!!! Oh man. This pizza was awesome!! Honestly pizza is pizza , but the crust was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. We came in around 3:30 and by 5pm it was PACKED! Give this place a chance. It's well worth it. Pizza was great. The bartenders (Matt and Micah) were great. The waitress gave a snotty looks the whole time we were there and if we dared ask for anything it was met with disdain. Like we were insulting her by asking for cheese and red peppers (that she had delivered to everyone else that ordered pizza but us). She just kept rolling her eyes at us. This place is great! It is a great mix of pub and restaurant. I used to go here quite a bit when I lived in North Seattle. It has indoor and outdoor seating and is nestled in the suburbs. Great neighborhood joint. I used to come here a lot more when I worked in Lake City. The Fid is still a solid bet after decades of abuse, and worth the trip from anywhere. The Fid offers an excellent beer selection, and I like to go with the Chuckanut Pilsner. They have a great turkey sandwich (with chips & salsa instead of the other side choices) and the baked potato loaded with bacon and sour cream never disappoints. Yum! Steal a bite! Go for Fiddler's good food, friendly service, and fine array of beer on tap. And check out the clean mens' room. I've been to this place once, and it already feels like olden days to me. Some places just slip over your feet like old slippers, set you down, and make you comfortable. Fiddler's is such a place. Add to that the fact that I have been meaning to try this place for nearly a quarter-century and it was probably inevitable. 94th and 35th really isn't an intersection that bustles like mad, but getting here is pretty straightforward, since they're both major arterials (er, well, 95th and 35th both are). There is, in fact, a decent-sized fire station right across the street from Fiddler's. Between people parking along the street, and the sirens, living here must get kinda noisy at times. There are tidily-kept and very tall hedges shading Fiddler's back from the street, creating a nice sense of privacy and getaway. There's a grandfathered old neon sign shaped like a fiddle over the front door on 35th. You walk in the front door, and it pulls a rope that raises and lowers a little violin back by the kitchen. This does not seem to alert the staff or anything, but maybe it's some kind of secret signal. In any case, it's one of those amusing little touches that great neighborhood watering holes accumulate through the years. And the years really do matter here. Those hedges didn't just get planted last season. That's advanced landscaping that can only happen over time. This place has been around since 1980 (I think). Virtually all of that time, they have been a friend to the beer industry, serving kegs from small independent brewers, spreading the word about what's happening in the craft beer revolution since back when the craft beer revolution was scarcely more than a couple underground splinter cells on the west coast (and a couple other places). Now the revolution has taken down the walls around the multi-nationals, and soon the castle will be ours. Like a wise old resistance commander, Fiddler's holds sway over its hot corner, surveying the progress. They're still serving beers from the smaller locals breweries, digging up interesting pints you might not get most other places. They have a few bottles, I think, and some wine, I imagine. I focused entirely on the taps. Had a solid gose from NW Peaks--they've only done one or two beers better than that. It's so cool that a style like gose that was almost extinct 10 years ago is now widely brewed in the States (Germany never let up on it completely, but even Germany was producing less and less, and exporting none, as of a decade ago). Now a decent anglo ale brewery like NW Peaks has a solid gose to offer. That's outside their comfort zone, but they're rocking it. And guess where you can get a pour? As of last night Fiddler's (naturally) had it pouring through one of their faucets. They have pizzas, sandwiches, some mountainous nachos, and other tasty-looking pug grub on offer. I will be back for some of that for sure. Finally crossed this place off my to-do list, where it's been sitting since before I was old enough to drink. Back then, I had a fraternity brother a few years ahead of me who bartended here. I always swore to come in and have a pint when I could. No idea where that guy ended up in life, but I'll be back in here soon, tipping him or whoever it is behind the bar next time. read more

Not a bad stop for dinner. It's small and definitely has a homey feel. We shared a hummus dip plate with bread and vegetables. I had the hot pastrami which was pretty good, you got to pick between two breads and two different cheeses. It took a while for the food to come but it's a small kitchen so it's understandable. This place quickly become one of my favorite Seattle alehouses. Of the 3pub trio (Latona Pub, Hopvine Pub, and this one) Fiddler's Inn is easily my favorite. PARKING: A few spots on the side, street parking in a residential neighborhood. Of the 3pubs, this is the easiest venue to visit. OUTSIDE: I normally don't mention the outside of an establishment, but the landscaping really is worthy of mention. There is a narrow walkway along the north side where you can drag your hand across the pruned Mexican lime shrubs and get a refreshing smell. It looks more like a brunch spot than it is an alehouse. INSIDE: The decor goes all over the place. The wooden pilings and ceiling is a bit simplified. If you can zone out the rest of the place, it could pass for something you see in a sushi bar. The picnic bar tables greatly contribute to the amount of wood inside, so you're in for a treat if you like wood. PATIO: Picnic table seating gives a great opportunity to ask the stranger next to you, "how the heck are you?" I really like the hop vine overhangs and am looking forward to seeing the growth progression. Looking towards the west side of the roof with all of the wooden shingles (the whole building exterior, really) gives a bit of a shack look and has me wanting to ask for jambalaya or grits. DOGS: Yup, you can bring your other loved one here on the patio. SERVICE: I don't get the bad reviews over service. The staff is very friendly. I wouldn't call it exceptional, but I think the previous reviews are unfair to the overall service I get here. FOOD: I had their Greek pizza and was very pleased with it. The ingredients are fresh, tasty, and the thin crust did what it should do: hold up. I haven't had anything else, but will update this review as I try other dishes. BEER: The selection is great. 11 taps and they seem to be consistent in covering the wide beer spectrum. I started coming here in the summer. I'm really looking forward to the winter here. read more

Fiddler's Inn has a fun vibe and backyard ambiance with its picnic tables and swag from Northwest breweries tacked up onto the fence. The street is hidden from view and with customers' dogs, the host's smiles and shared benches, our dining experience felt familial. I had their blackberry cider which was deee-licious, and my cohorts were also pleased with their beers. If you're here for a pizza, which is what we came for on my friend's recommendation, there might be a wait so best to order as soon as you get in. We knew what we wanted (half and half: ham/pineapple and meat/veggies/jalapeno), so we ordered immediately, then got up to serve ourselves ice-cold water from the self-serve coolers near the back door. My partner and I regretted not ordering nachos when we saw the platter go by, even though their circular tortilla chips didn't seem to maximize scooping... In the time it took the pizza to come, we could have downed a shared plate, easily. The pizza was giant (we got the large, for four, which gave us two slices each), but after our afternoon of swimming in Lake Wash, we could have eaten more. To be honest, I wasn't too thrilled with it. The ingredients and crust thickness were on par, but something was lacking. I wished it had been more flavorful, that the cheese had been gooier and maybe slightly burnt on top. It was almost too fresh, not authentically pizza-like. read more

Usually patronize Latona Pub so went a little out of our way to try one of the other pubs in the family. Fiddler's Inn has the same quality of food and brews with a homey local atmosphere we love at Latona. Smoked Chicken BLT was really tasty. Highly recommend! Service is laid back so it's not the best for a quick meal on busy days but they're also pretty accommodating if you tell them you have a timeline.
