Food was pretty good! I would come back. My favorites were the chicken wings and Brussels sprouts. We split the Mamas Sweats with ribs across 4 hungry adults and it was the perfect amount of food and a pretty good value. Would stop again on the way back from hood. We were disappointed by the lack of brisket. Casual setting, with a nice patio. Service was good and relatively fast!

We had an okay experience here. The pulled pork was tasty but only look warm and the bun was a little burnt. I did like the waffle fries and there were a lot. The service was also super slow unfortunately even though it was fairly empty.

Our server was amazing! The place was packed the night before Thanksgiving but our server was on top of her game! Always making sure we had all we needed. The food all tasted amazing with a ton of sauces to choose from! Honestly all the meat was cooked to perfection. We love this place since the switched owners!

This restaurant is conveniently located with ample parking! We were greeted by friendly staff & were seated immediately! We ordered a side of Waffle fries, Mac & cheese with chicken, & a Power Bowl with Tri-tip. All this food was amazing! The fries were nice & crunchy! The Mac noodles were perfectly cooked with a hearty cheese sauce! The bowl was full of flavor- sweet & savory, and the tri-tip was oh so tender! We will be back!

Fried cauliflower app was pretty good. $12. A little crisp and the sriracha was nicely spiced Ordered the tri-tip tacos. You get 2 for $14. Why you would take a nice tri-tip, cube it and regrill is is beyond's me. When it's this overcooked it could have been any kind of meat. Not a fan of the chipotle crema. Hardly any pickled onion. Meh. Wife tried the smash burger. $17. OK. Prefer the protein with crispier edges. Otherwise it's just 2 skinny patties stuck together. Bun was somewhat overcooked on the top. Our food took quite a while. Maybe it sat under a lamp too long? Lots of employees milling around. Would try sometime else next time

Saturday night and the place was maybe 1/4 full. When we first walked in I wasn't sure if we just sat ourselves or not, but decided to wait to be seated. When seated at a booth, we sank into the bench seats so I spent the rest of the time sitting at the edge so I could eat. It was not comfortable. Since it was our first time there we decided to give Mama Sweats a try in order to taste a bit of all the meats. Upon ordering we were told that they were already out of ribs. "Already?!" I asked in disbelief. The menu said ribs served after 4pm and we arrived just after 5pm. And like I said, it wasn't even busy. Not sure if I was disappointed with the fact that they ran out of ribs just an hour after they began serving it, or maybe the uncomfortable bench seat, or that there was so much salt in our corn that we couldn't eat it. The dry rub on the chicken wings was a bit much. The sauce on the chicken was interesting. It wasn't bad. Actually the citrus provided a refreshing taste to the platter. The pulled pork was probably the best, but it would've been nice if it had a bit more sauce. Sauce was extra. They had more than a handful to pick from, but paying to taste each one didn't make sense for me. Our waiter was nice, but I just didn't have a pleasant experience. It's unfortunate because I was hyped to try this place.

Amazing Food! Our favorite place to eat in Sandy every time we head up to the mountain! Staff is exceptional! A+

Sarah and staff were friendly and attentive. The chili and cornbread was great. The tri-tip sandwich was good but some big pieces of gristle. The waffle fries were excellent and I even enjoyed the homemade ranch which always has me worried. The atmosphere is quiet for Sunday at 1PM. There are televisions playing sports. There are limited tables and even more limited parking. The menu options for what I consider for typical bbq is missing at least on the lunch menu. I am curious about what's on the dinner menu. Thus, I will be back to try it.

So delicious! Very quick service & the food was so tasty. I had the ribs & my husband had the pulled pork & we both loved our dishes. The chipotle bbq sauce was a little spicy for my (sensitive) stomach but not too spicy for my mouth if that makes sense. We'll definitely be coming back here! I so badly wanted to love this place! My family of 3 (me, husband & toddler) went a month or so after their grand opening. It took forever for us to place an order, including drink order. I know everything was new and probably extra busy since they were newly open. But after the long wait for our food, my husband and I got ours, they literally forgot my kidlets order. Most restaurants try to get kiddos food out first. The food was fine, nothing super exciting, but again, giving the benefit of the doubt. My husband was ready to write it off, but I wanted to give them another shot. Almost a year later, I finally was able to give then second chance. They weren't busy at all, so I thought it was the perfect opportunity. It still took forever to place our order. However, my husband asked for a cup of ice and it took us asking 3 different times in at least a 45 minute span for the waitress to remember. My husband & I shared the baby sweats, and everything tasted like vinegar, and I didn't realize bbq sauce was extra that we had to order, the baked beans are more like chili, and the coleslaw had no dressing. We never got a refill of the warm water (the reason my husband asked for ice). I did like the tri tip on the platter, but for $50 I should have liked more than a couple small slices of steak. Which by the way, you don't get a receipt/bill, just a total owed at the end, so hopefully the bill is correct! Sandbar gets 1 extra star for their epic cornbread. But 2 strikes and we're out. read more

This place is worth the trip Portlanders! Been here twice. Had the tri tip sandwich, cauliflower tacos and power box salad with chicken. All amazing. Most delicious, tender chicken I have ever had. But there is something else here, a certain vibe. The people who work here take enormous pride in serving this outstanding food and providing great service. This is hard to find. Get here. Not that I have tried a lot of barbecue in the Portland area YET, this location serves up some pretty good smoked meats. Been there a couple of times. Service is average and friendly. First times there we had four adults and three of us shared the Meat Sweats platter which was plenty of food for two couples. There are not enough ribs for a larger group though. Loved the dry rub chicken wings and the pulled pork. My son enjoyed the smoked tri-tip. Went back on my own as I was craving the Mac and cheese I had the first time there. Stopped in for our anniversary dinner. They tried seating the people behind us first. Whatever I could have let it slide. We sat and waited 10 minutes and still nobody asked about drinks. Then I look over and see the people behind us in line drinking and ordering food. Very disappointed in this place. We got up and left. I was hoping for another descent spot to eat near home but it looks like two brothers again cuz they are awesome! read more

Monday evening, Smashburger had less than 1/4" tomato slices and the pickle slices were about 1/8" thick. Was decent but would have liked to have a knife to cut it in half. Waffle fries were all over cooked. Beans were very dry and the cornbread was way over baked almost black on the bottom. Coleslaw was tasteless and sauce under it was watery. Ribs were tender but so much so that you couldn't pick them up by the bone and the sauce was the only thing holding them together. Over sauced I'd say.Ice in the water would have been nice also. Warmish water is a turn off. Was our first and last time here. Service was decent, ambiance was a bit cramped. read more

First time visiting. Overall, I'm very pleased with the service and quality of food. Our party had the tri-tip tacos which had amazing flavor. Also, the pork egg rolls, are going to be a staple, anytime we go. We sat outside, and there was always someone checking in on us, refilling drinks and just generally being attentive. They were super busy and our food took a little longer than expected to get out, but that doesn't surprise me with how packed they were with a line out the door. Looking forward to going back and trying other items on the menu. read more

It's a nice location with lots of seating, a full bar and dine in table service. We ordered a couple of appetizers, tacos, and a burger. I'm not able to say that everything was good. The appetizers were undercooked. The garlic knots were actually slightly gummy in the middle and the pickle spears were cold. Neither had much flavor to them at all. The tacos and burger were the same. Not served hot, just lukewarm, and lacking flavor. Maybe it was the time of day or just an off day but the entire meal was definitely not worth the price we paid. We likely won't return but if you're looking for a local dine in place I can see this being a place with lots of room to meet up with friends and/or family.
