This business has a five minute grace period which is actually not that long when you realize that it's not easy to find in the mall that it's located in. Unfortunately, we scheduled this on the last day of our trip and we were seven minutes past the grace period. We weren't able to make the new time they offered us, which was an hour after our original reservation, and we were subject to a $50 cancellation fee. The email that they send you when you book says that they do have a five minute grace period and that "lateness beyond five minutes might result in cancellation of your booking." The $50 cancellation fee is not outlined anywhere in that email. When we entered, there was one group in a room doing a VR experience and they had left the door open, so all you could hear in the lobby were people screaming. There was one other small group that was in the lobby waiting, so it's not like the place was jam packed. Considering the draconian policy, I don't think that I would recommend this place. read more

Welcome to the future of gaming. We brought our son and his friends today to this location to have some fun for his 15th birthday and fun they had. This location offers a multitude of 10 different VR games. Ranging from squid games which allows the players to join in on the popular series games to games like stranger things, to the zombie world of Deadwood phobia. You will need a reservation to be able to play due to the high volume of guests who show up on a daily basis. Their are multiple play areas at this location which allows more teams to play at once. This location is very clean and organized and the staff are very friendly. They walk the players thru how to put on the gear that is needed and how to use the weapons that are given. We did a half hour game time and played the squid game and it was very interactive and fun for all. They allow 6 players to play in each room. After their game they are able to watch the replay of their game in the lobby area on a big screen TV which always provides plenty of extra laughs. Staff member told me today There is a new attraction coming to this location soon which will be a dinosaur experience which should be a lot of fun. THIS WAS SO MUCH FREAKING FUN. We've never seen anything like so hubby decided we HAD to check it out. So of course we did the Stranger Things one because we were going to watch the final season as soon as we got back home. It was the coolest VR experience we have ever had. We were in the show and we were fighting monsters and it was just so coooool! But omg I had to take a star off because I had the worse most consistent errors the entire experience. T.T I kept getting a sound warning on mine that would block my screen. They tried fixing it multiple times and even reset the headset and I still got it again after that. Then after they reset the headset I lagged so hard we had to redo an area. Like it was such a cool experience and I was so bummed it was ruined by pretty much constant tech issues. This is not VR. This is combat cardio wrapped in a digital hallucination, served cold, expensive, and worth every damn penny. We came in to celebrate our friend Heather's birthday, and within minutes Sandbox VR had us strapped into haptic vests like a crew of optimistic idiots about to be launched into a sci-fi meat grinder. The staff doesn't sell you the experience--they suit you up, tighten the straps, hand you a weapon, and politely let you make bad life decisions together. I wanted to dive into Stranger Things--because nostalgia is a hell of a drug--but fate (and group democracy) steered us into Deadwood Phobia, which is basically Old West nightmare fuel with jump scares, monsters, and the creeping realization that you are wildly out of shape. This is not a passive experience. You duck, shoot, turn, sweat, and question your mortality while technology punches you in the chest every time something bites you. It's a full-body workout disguised as entertainment--Peloton wishes it was this fun. By the end, my Apple Watch thought I'd been attacked by wildlife. And because it was a birthday, they pulled a surprise at the end--the kind that makes you grin, catch your breath, and immediately start trash-talking your friends about kill counts and accuracy percentages like you just finished Navy SEAL training at Dave & Buster's. Yes, it's pricey. But so is mediocrity, and this ain't that. This place is a technological marvel--motion tracking so precise it feels invasive, visuals that swallow you whole, and sound design that rattles your bones. It's what VR should be when it grows up, gets a budget, and hires people who actually care. I'd do it again tomorrow. And the day after. Because sometimes you don't want dinner and drinks--you want to be dropped into a digital nightmare, come out breathing hard, laughing louder, and reminded that fun doesn't have to be lazy. They have been open for three months total. Arrived with my husband for his birthday. They prefer you to book online however they accept walk-ins (which we were ). It was a great experience the staff especially Sallo, helped us and very accommodating. Sallo was very understanding with us as we switched from squidgames to deadwood phobia. It was truly a blast! And will return back with a group as it was so interactive and felt like I was in the game itself! If you thinking about this , have a group of 6 or less this is the spot for you! Came to Sandbox VR to celebrate my Birthday. It had been on my things I want to do one day list & the day finally came. We were greeted by Jenna who was very friendly & welcoming. Chose our sessions (Deadwood Phobia) & (Amber Sky 2088) as I wanted some Zombie & Robot type VR experiences. After signing the waivers, we got fitted for vests & motion detecting devices that go on your wrists & ankles. These allow the computer to show your movements in VR. The vest even has a vibration feature to make the experience that much more immersive. Selecting your weapons is the next step. Decide who'd be better suited for the role. For Deadwood Phobia I chose the double magnum revolvers. They each hold 10 shots. These were a good choice if you can aim well with both hands & work even better if you stagger using left & right hands since the guns reload when pointed down at your side. The full auto pistol might be better suited for someone who is a spray & pray type shooter as you can just hold the trigger down. I believe that had 36 rounds per mag. Really enjoyed this game especially if you're into Zombies or Call of Duty etc. For Amber Sky 2088, I chose the stronger rifle. There is also a pistol that comes with a shield. The shield also has a boomerang feature like Captain America. This game felt part Alien, part Mech Warrior. It was a lot of fun as it takes place on a constant raising platform. Eventually the platform is basically in space. Very fun & different vibe entirely from Zombies. At one point, the fans in the room turned on to mimic wind on the open platform. I would recommend both games I played. If you book back to back sessions I believe a discount is offered. At the end of each session there was a virtual birthday party since I was celebrating. There was a cake, balloons, & a candle with my age. Your guns turn into bubble guns you can use to blow out the candles or pop the balloons. Overall verdict, I had a blast! Jenna did a great job & I'd happily return to do more Sandbox VR experiences. read more

My 2nd time back and it was an absolute blast! We did Squid Games and Luke and Lex were so helpful. The one downfall is they don't validate parking. It cost over $100 for two people, so you'd think they would. That's the reason for 4 stars. read more

Total time for your VR experience playing is 20 mins and not 40 mins. I found it for a one time deal it was ok but not worth it for the $$$. It went down on my kids twice and stop twice. read more

We went opening weekend and had a group of 4. We played Deadwood Phobia and the experience was really cool. I'll be back for other games.

I had a horrible experience here. Granted they just been open a few days but.. the staff see like they didn't know what was going on. I had not one but 2 vr headsets die in the middle of the game which should have not happened. Another headset kept going to a black screen. I spent $600 and it was horrible to say the least!!! read more
