He was a great Dr but his staff is horrible. They have a hard time returning phone calls. When they do they are very insulting. I went somewhere else because his staff actually left me a cheer message stating the other Dr will decide what will be done to me. Very happy with Dr J from the first visit through surgery and recovery. Due to a car accident my breast implant ruptured and had to be explanted and replaced with a new implant. Dr J offered options and and reassured me that the result would be excellent, which indeed it is. The initial appointment went well he answered all the questions I had at the time. I was deciding on a lumpectomy or a mastectomy. I called after wards with more questions that I had thought of. I waited a week no call back. I called back again had a couple more questions I asked the staff who answered the phone will he ever call me back she giggled and said yes. It has been over a month and I have decided to go with a different plastic surgeon. I did receive a call all most 2 months after my appointment from billing because my insurance company told them they couldn't find me. He can't call me back but the office expects to get paid. I came down with a case of shingles that spread across my forehead. After the infection healed, I was left with a deep scar on my forehead. I went to see Dr. Jejurikar and he recommended subcision of the scar followed by a fat transfer underneath the scar (to build up the area). I had the subcision and fat transfer in June and in September, Dr. Jejurikar used a laser to smooth the edges of the scar. It's been one year since the procedure and the scar is barely visible. I'm very happy with the work that was done by Dr. Jejurikar. read more

"Dr. J" was recommended to me by a neighbor who works in healthcare after I shattered my femur in Mexico, which required 5 surgeries in total. One of these was a major surgery to repair complications from infection. My neighbor informed me that all of the surgeons she works with know and respect Dr. Jejurikar; This was affirmed after seeing the stunned reaction from my orthopedic surgeon after telling him who I elected to go with on a surgery he wasn't able to perform - although they worked at 2 different hospitals. - Dr. J. is tremendously busy, therefore scheduling surgeries can be difficult, but I'd recommend pursuing a surgeon who's in demand. - Since he's in such demand, the following day's post-surgery consultation might leave you waiting - but I promise it is worth EVERY SECOND because he provides clear explanation to your situation and thoroughly answers all of your questions. God bless all the people who have had a successful procedure with this man. This man performed what was supposed to be a fairly simple non cosmetic abdominal procedure on an extremely fit man. He did things to me that he never explained, I talked with him stressing what I did for a living, and how active I was(he could see this on the consultation )and that was it. I was made to believe that this wasn't a big deal, and was surprised the day of the surgery that the nurse and the doctor said I was to be kept over night just for "precaution" I found it strange that the doctor never went over what he was going to do on me. I trusted what I had stressed to the doctor, that I needed my muscle strength intact, muscle function , he assured me that he worked on female abdomens that were very messed up, and that they were able to go back to I quote him "vigorously" exercise after recovery, looking at my strong very well devolved abdominals, assured me that I should not worry. That was all that was said, He went over NOTHING with me, not what he intended to do and none of the complications.I had a little voice in my head telling me that something was wrong, I just thought it was nerves, the nurse came in my me sign the usual paper, I asked her if the doctor was going to come in and explain, she said he would, he came in and said "said hello and had me taken, I told him not to forget what we had talked about and that he would call(quote) "an audible " and that I would be fine . I woke up and was in the most pain in my life, I could not move, felt like a knifes in my stomach. I was then drugged up,woke up again in the hospital room, when the nurse came in, I told her that something was wrong , to check my blood sugar, blood.... Something was wrong, the doctor came in later and said everything looked good, I've been training my body on a professional level for 20 years, I am finely tuned with my body.I have been on television, and have been paid for promotions due to my physical appearance. The doctor asked me if I wanted to go home the day after, I still couldn't move, felt weak, dizzy, and was having trouble breathing . Second day asked me the same thing, even though I wanted to get out of there, I knew something was wrong. In the middle of the night, a nurse came , said they needed to take my blood, the next thing I know DrJ is in the room telling me that I had a hematoma on my lower abb, and was very rude , The person who was in the room next to me,couldn't believe how ignorant that Dr. J had been. I was told that I needed to go into another surgery to drain the hematoma, I asked the nurse what the doctors was going to do, and she told me that the doctor was probably just going to drain it with a needle. What I was not informed was that I was internally bleeding to death. They called my mother who was on her way thinking she was going to pick me up, and told her that my hemoglobin level had dropped from 13-6. Before I knew it I was being knocked out for surgery, told nothing After 2 weeks in the hospital , with a tube stuck in my nose down my throat, as doctors said I had "intestinal blockage" even though I had a good bowel movement an hour before) zero nutrients(just a saline drip), catching C-diff(I was a 40 year old man with a body age of 28) and a host of other things, I was released. I knew I had lost at least 30lbs of pure muscle, and can now see that my stomach was butchered, from the bottom of my ribs , down to past where my navel used to be(yes I now don't have a navel) I did not recognize what I saw in the mirror, my clothes were dragging off me, the doctor avoided my family the whole time, and my family were so clueless , when they asked Dr.J what went wrong, he told them that I had internal bleeding, but I'm fineThat was it Seeing him at his office after he told me that he couldn't tie a layer of muscle,fascia (being in the fitness industry I understand those terms) on my lower abdomen so it wasn't going to be as tight, I asked questions about working out and what we talked about b4 this man butchered me, he told me that after 8 weeks I could go(quote) "full throttle" on weight training, at this point My worst fear had become reality, because (with exception of specific sports medicine doctors, generally doctors know nothing about fitness or nutrition. I just had an honest doctor go over my MRI and report, and after a year I have found out that not only did this doctor perform a procedure that should have never been done on a body type like mine, but he had also had taken out most of my omentum(I was never told) this is a procedure for women who have a hysterectomy or people who have cancer!!!!!, not a healthy muscular man,this man almost killed me, has been deceitful from day 1, the physiological problems that I have been suffering beside mutilation, are getting worse, the mayo clinic is next for me, stay away from this man, I give him -100 stars. read more
