Mr. Cossou was kind enough to share his memories, the construction of the model, walk through and share all the well preserved artifacts - one of the original maps, plans obtained directly from the Smithsonian. The upstairs once housed the chief operator and his family - all recreated with original pieces of furniture, dish ware, machinery, kitchen appliances. The view from each window was spectacular. We were told that the location was once very industrial, with trains and ferry's shipping goods to and from Tiburon to San Francisco. The docent and Mr. Cossou were wonderful and informative. If you have an opportunity to stop by, be sure to contribute at the front desk - worth every moment!

I saw a few negative reviews here and was a bit surprised. I own two Daniel Merriam original…read morewatercolors, including "Euphoria," which is featured on page 65 of his first book, "The Impetus of Dreams." I also have one called, "Chili Peppers" that I love. More importantly is how I came to own these. Shortly after I was married in late 2001 to a beautiful artist, we were in bed looking at different art magazines and I came across one with a painting by Daniel. I was enthralled. Over a few weeks my wife and I decided we would go to San Francisco and up to Portland and Seattle. I wondered what would happen if I reached out to Daniel. He responded and was more than gracious to us. When we got into SF, he invited us to his home and we were able to see large projects in the making and multiple paintings he had that were ready for sale. One was Euphoria. It had been painted years before but he believed it was harder to sell due to prurient views some had of mild nudity. What truly stood out though was Daniel as a human being. Art was truly his passion and people were his other passion. We were treated as if we were old friends. I have purchased other art from other artists, and I have commissioned art. These two will be in my heart forever. Daniel, thank you for a moment in time! It is still cherished decades later.

Wow, what a unique and magical gallery!…read more Bubble Street Gallery - and the art within - is so whimsical and magical. Usually I can cruise through galleries as it's not all my style, but even with this being one artist and style, I had to look closely at each one. We didn't walk out with any purchases as most was out of our price range, but we really enjoyed looking through - and it put the artist on my radar. I enjoyed that they had puzzles and other less expensive options as well. Highly recommend taking a look through if you're in Sausalito!

I took the ferry over from San Francisco just to come here. Did I get influenced by an Instagram post? Yes. But this is one of those rare instances where the hype matched with reality. The inside of Cinelounge is so cutely decorated and perfect for a friend to hang out or date. There are two theaters/auditoriums inside and on this particular day they were showing number of popular movies. I ended up really enjoying the couch experience. Their couches were clean, comfortable (especially for someone who has back problems like me) perfect firmness for a long movie, and it wasn't too crowded on the weekend. I wanted to gatekeep this spot but it's too good not to share. Would be so fun to come back again soon.

I cannot stop raving about this place to everyone I know!…read more With groovy movie vibes, Cinelounge successfully preserves the ambiance of a good movie-going experience! From the lobby decor to the couches, everything about this theater shouts dedication and love. Truly you can see the effort dedicated to this project, and it's well-worth the drive up to Tiburon in order to experience this small corner-tucked movie theater. They also host events for community-building here, and I find that so exciting! (For example, they led a daddy-daughter workshop where they hosted breakfast and taught dads how to braid their kids' hair). My only qualm is that the food is a bit pricey, but overall the experience has been so cozy and inviting each time I'm there! I've now forced two people to make the hour-long drive from my home to Tiburon in order to watch a movie here, and I'll gladly do it again!
