I was also pleasantly surprised that they brought me the left over fabric, from my re-upholstery job. It is not too much, but it is enough for me to take right back to them, and order a few small accent pillows to match the daybed. (Which I plan to do soon.) They could have discarded the fabric or made pillows to sell in their shop, and I would never have known the difference. The honesty meant a lot to me. And speaking of fabric ... they have zillions of beautiful choices, in all price ranges. They were very patient with me and I am a person who does thorough research and takes her time, before I finally make a decision. I will admit a lot of places would have likely become annoyed or frustrated with me, for taking so much time and visiting the showroom to look through samples, over and over and over again, requesting pricing. But they were very kind and pleasant and willing to check pricing for me on many fabrics, many times. I also felt they charged a very fair price, especially considering the craftsmanship and turn around time and their willingness to do the pick up and drop off. The turn around time was so much faster than I expected. It was the holidays and I had to request they hold the daybed a few extra weeks for me, due to my extra traveling and holiday activities. True to form, they were very accommodating and understanding. If you find this review, consider yourself DONE looking for a quality re-upholstery business. 5 Star Custom Upholstery has earned a customer for life, in me. This business is in collaboration or partner with the Sandollar upholstery. I do not recommend The Sandollar upholstery at all. But this gentleman who did the paint charge me $75 for each chair and the distressed paint was adequateAnd no more than adequate.Because the upholstery was done by the Sandollar, I was unable to get these chairs in a timely manner. The lady that runs Sandollar is so old that she cannot keep up with the demand of her business. I wish I could give a review of their business without tainting summers furniture. But beware do not use Sandollar Upholstery if you want it in a timely manner. Sic months was not reasonable. And it was over $1000 each chair and these are dining room chairs nothing special. That included the fabric and the labor and one lumbar pillow. You'd be better off going to Ballard or pottery barn and purchase the top of the line and quality furniture delivered to your door.

I think a little bit more care could be expressed in the way this attendant handles customers. Perhaps the name of the store should be fabric store and not fabric and upholstery store, since the company doesn't provide upholstery services.

It took me about ten seconds to realize the dining table I wanted to build would be well outside my capabilities, and we asked Tom if he would be interested in building us a dining room table. Luckily for us, he happily obliged. We quickly agreed upon a price (a completely reasonable one, BTW), and one month later (today) the most lovely table we could have possibly imagined showed up in the back of Tom's truck. We weren't completely sure of what we wanted to do with the table, but Tom listened to our thoughts, got a sense for the overall aesthetic direction we were looking for, and delivered something beyond what we could have hoped for.
