Heard that you can pick your own flowers and it sounded like fun, so we ended up here! For $5 you can pick 10 stems. They let you borrow cutters in case you don't bring your own. ;-) What a deal! They even have arrangements ready if you don't have time to pick (also $5!). I heard the next you pick flowers available will be sunflowers! So totally coming back. They should, hopefully, be ready by June. So excited! Such a cute place to come. It's like a mini Carlsbad Flower Fields, but you get to not only take pics but also pick the flowers! If you're in the area (or not), definitely check this place out!

Really cute farm stand. Prices are fair. You get the luxury of picking your own flowers. It's not overpriced like the Carlsbad flower fields. You can still get some beautiful pictures and take home some flowers too. I've been here twice now and will definitely be back!

I adore the mornings we've spent at Sandoval and Sons u-pick field. They do such a wonderful job making sure it's a fun and relaxing experience for you. When you come here they will have cutters for you to use carefully and give you the down low on which rows are ready. I'm looking forward to seeing what they have growing next because it's such a fun experience! I buy my flowers here now because they are so friendly and always have the best prices. The flowers Sandoval and Sons have are always healthy and beautiful!

This field grown ranunculus crimson color is beautiful. Thank you for growing this!

They had a spring sale going on so I was able to get 20% off on a plant that usually goes for $100+. The website states they process within 48 hours but it was shipped in 5 days. The condition of the plant was not good when it arrived, as the only leaf was already almost falling off out of the package. When I requested for a return and a refund, they were going to charge a $11 restocking fee. It wasn't until I wrote a strongly worded email, that I was able to get a full refund after returning the damaged monstera. The whole interaction was 1/5, but I'll bump it up to a 2/5 because I was able to get my money back. I've seen better maintained plants at my local farmers market so I plan on going there instead. Would not recommend.

The outside succulent displays are accessible by wheelchair but the greenhouse is not. The walkways for the greenhouse are very narrow, and some areas are very tight even if you shuffle walk sideways. Staff are walking around and available to answer questions about plant names or pricing. Not all plants have prices listed. Several staff members also speak Spanish. The plant prices are really reasonable, and some of the rare tropical plants are shockingly low priced for what they are (Monstera Thai Constellation, PPP, PWP). For many plants, they carry small pot offerings which are really affordable for plant collectors. As a plantaholic who spends some time every single day looking up plants, I am not easily impressed by store variety offerings, but there were tropical and succulent plant varieties that wowed me here. And I normally wouldn't buy some of them, but the pricing was comparable to big box stores or sometimes better.

It is way more than just a plant nursery. My husband and I like to come here on Sunday mornings and just sit by the ponds to just unplug , relax, and listen to the sounds of nature. It is such a good getaway from the over stimulization of everyday life. You can come here and just walk through all the pretty flowers and plants or have a picnic on their many picnic tables. You can buy fish food from the front desk to feed the fishes and turtles in the pond. On every first Saturday of every month they have "free succulent Saturday" which is a local makers market with all kind of different treasures. Every adult can get a pick of a succulent and they are a decent size! I was surprised! They also do kids crafts and have food and drinks for sell. I would also follow their Instagram as they have classes throughout the year. All in all, Waterwise is a place you surely do not want to skip out on if you like nature, plants, free things to do, or just looking for something the whole family could enjoy!

We had to go to the checkout to ask for help and to figure out which plants we could choose from as the directions are a little vague. The kid that ended up helping us was friendly and very patient while I asked questions. I ended up going into the nursery (my favorite spot) to pick up a couple more plants and even got a few avocados at checkout. The only reason why I will continue to give 5 stars even with a not so good experience is 100% your cashier. He is my absolute favorite and I will continue to come back for all my plant needs as long as he's there!

Jungle Jack's!! The name alone makes you wanna go. The only difficulty was their hours, as most days they close at 2pm. Luckily we had the perfect opportunity with it being the Valentine Day weekend, I wanted to get my wife something special and we took the whole family up to Jungle Jack's. While it was a little out of the way the drive was certainly worth it, nice to see all parts of San Diego. When we arrived we found some parking and started to walk around. The nursery itself is massive - tons of space with a huge assortment of plants along with a metric ton of Plumeria. My personal favorite aspects were the theme - they didn't shy away from the Jungle aspect of the name. Ended up sitting in some pretty cool Elephant chairs where I met the adorable dog aka: Cowboy. We found everything we were looking for and the staff were not only knowledgable but super friendly. Was such a treat to go out there - our family felt very welcomed. We certainly made some big purchases that day - it felt like it was well worth the investment. Not only with the quality of the plants, but wanting to support the store. Gotta love supporting local businesses. If you are looking for some Plumeria this is certainly a nursery to check out.

There's a fruit tasting table and I remember the first time I came in and tasted some fruit I'd never even heard of before. If you're a foodie or if you enjoy rare or tropical fruit or even if you're a fan of botanical gardens, this place is amazing It's a mom and pop place (actually just a pop place cause I think the owner Steve who started it still runs it by himself). The sign said they have been here since the 80s. Anyway because it's a small nursery and open 7 days a week, it's a good idea to call if you're planning to make a long journey to visit just to make sure they haven't stepped out. It's usually fine but I see people on other reviews have come in from far away without calling and it's just a good idea to call if it's a mom and pop nursery and you have a long drive. My favorite fruit was white sapote, cherimoya, the bazillions of types of guavas they have, ice cream bean was delicious, and I never knew palms have delicious fruit (what????). I come about twice a year from San Diego and as San Diego nurseries go, this place is in a league of its own. I even just like walking around in there to relax cause it's almost like a fruit botanical garden. And some of the small stuff is very affordable Highly recommend if you have a few hours free to explore this place. It's a great nursery -- kinda like the Garden of Eden!

Unfortunately, we lived in Encinitas so the climate didn't allow the avocado to thrive but she loved getting Asian/Hawaiian plants, and fruits from this nursery. The scene that will greet you is a dirt path and two-sided parking spaces. The staff are very knowledgeable and the value is great. If your plant doesn't grow, call them, and they guide you or replace the plant. I love this place. If I had a house, I would be here for my roses and fruit plants.
