A wonderful burrito partially gone now.

Sandra prepares excellent Mexican street food in a few minutes. It's reasonably priced and she accepts credit cards or cash, and maybe Venmo. You can sit on the covered porch and eat at a picnic table. During the off-season, November 5 today, this is now the only prepared food in town. She is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. If it says closed on the truck window, she may be gone just a bit to bring her kids home from school. Sandra also has several new lodging units for rent.

    Gorditas and Buriotaco! Yum!

Yummy Gorditas and Burriotaco! We got there just at opening and got our food quickly. Nice option for the small town and after a morning of biking. Shaded seating.

    Cool food truck

Amazing Mexican food after a long hike!! We will definitely come back again someday. Very authentic!! Service was amazing and fast.

Staying in Baker tonight and I asked for recommendations on a place to eat. I was told the only place to get food is a food truck. Since this is a very small place I was not quite sure about it but was hungry. I was pleasantly surprised! The chicken tacos were pretty plain but they had great flavor. I would eat there again! I also talked to 3 random strangers visiting national parks like me. It was fun!

Gorditas with pork (sold as singles so try them all!)

This place is a real gem! This permanent food truck is open 11am till 8 pm. We stayed her little Airbnb cabanas and ate dinner there! The Gorditas with pork were delicious! She's also an incredibly nice human! Might I add it's dog friendly to boot!

What an amazing find driving through the little town of Baker! We had the quesabirria and pork burritos. Both came with salsa, fluffy Mexican rice and and lettuce/onion/cilantro. The meat was juicy and flavorful, the burrito with crispy cheese on one side. Will stop here next time we're in the area, highly recommend!!

Being one of three "restaurants" in Baker, we went twice in five days. Everyone was very happy with their food (pork and chicken street tacos, burritos, quesabirria and horchata) but they did forget the sour cream and lime on the second visit.

Farm to Table. The JT story. A diverse menu. main courses mostly steak. We ordered a one pound…read moreporkchop, scalloped potatoes, brussels sprouts and a dinner salad. Our non-water beverage was Athletic NA IPA. Dessert, Carrot Cake and Coffee. We split one plate and left the table feeling well-fed, not disturbingly stuffed. The pork chop was thick, tender and flavorful. The salad fresh and diverse, dressed to remind me of the former Evah's House of Steak. Brussels Sprouts, slightly steamed. dressed with balsamic vinegar. Scalloped potatoes mildly cheesy. Carrot Cake Big Slice, not over-iced or too suite. Coffee a strong Americano, steamed frothy. The Athletic was an interesting NA beer. Really Hoppy, strong pinyness, slightly bitter finish. Great choice for an occasion. May 9, 2026 - $92. Far better than dropping $50 in the slots snd having a burger later. Complimentary postcard.

When asked, "how was your meal?" I responded, "I wish we had come here last night instead of JT's…read moreSteakhouse." La Fiesta was far and wide a much better meal than the steakhouse across the street and half the price. This restaurant is quite large with lots of seating and even more pictures of past patrons wearing the restaurant's signature sombrero. I wished it had been my birthday so my picture could have been taken! After sitting down we were promptly given chips and salsa (the salsa was a bit too spicy for my wife - but I love heat) and two glasses of water. I ordered the Super Burrito and my wife ordered the sizzling fajitas, both dishes included rice and beans. While we waited for our order I took a couple gulps of my water and then suddenly heard, "excuse me, may I please fill up your water?" Yes, thank you. As my wife and I discussed our travels and I drank more water, the young gentleman kept coming over and each time asked "excuse me, may I please fill up your water?" Unlike the steakhouse we had ate at the night before that never filled up my water glass the attention to service was very appreciated. Once the food came out - well, the portions are huge! I was only able to finish half of my burrito saving the other half for breakfast the next day. My wife also equally enjoyed the fajitas. The rice was a little crunchy so if there was one negative, the rice would be it. Overall, the food was tasty, the service was attentive, and for a little over $60.00 + tip the dinner was a lot better than our experience the night before at JT's Steakhouse. My only regret is that we didn't visit La Fiesta for both of our nights in Ely, Nevada.
